So what happens IF there turns out to be some negligence on the party of US Air on implementing the notice that came out on the Air Bus 320 concerning compressor stalls? I read/heard that the very aircraft that went down had had a compressor stall incident a very few days before this accident and the notice warned of problems with the engines.

I tend to think that the question of legal actions has to say open until the NTSB investigation is completed, including reviews of US Air maintenance, performance of the engines and manufacturing defects.

It was determined that while the Captain was leisurely making a standard undemanding water landing he failed to hit the “ditch switch” causing the plane to sink faster than it would have otherwise.

While it is true that all passengers and crew were rescued before the plane sunk it still does not nullify the fact that they COULD, I say COULD, have been in the water.

I would recommend that my clients focus on what could of happened and NOT on what actually happened. Therefore my clients should sue for 134 Billion dollars (I keep 80%, legal fees y’know) on the fact that the plane could have sunk before rescue and they would have been left undefended in the river only to plucked into space by marauding UFO’s. No such trauma should befall anyone.

Alternatively if the courts fail to find my in favor, uh, I mean my clients favor, I suggest a line item in the new stimulus bill to make me rich, oops, I mean make my clients whole.

Pretty soon you will have to sign waivers to board a commercial flight!!
This is the state of America. I would have gone to church with my family and said a prayer for the crew that saved me – not sue the company they work for. Sad. There are times that suing a company or individual is justified. This is not one of those times.
