Moe, I’m not sure where you’re from, but up here in NY “If (s)he can read and write, (s)he’ll make a million” is not an uncommon expression regarding a famous person’s book, the basic idea being that everybody will buy it no matter how good it is, the author is famous enough that people will buy it regardless of its quality, all the author has to do is be able to read and write well enough to put some words on a page. I’m sure you’ll agree, this is true of Sarah Palin. Just look at the ratings from her TV appearances! I agree with Chris Mathews, if she can read and write she can make quite a pile of money. As for “Who’s going to write the book”…has any politician besides Goldwater ever written their own book? Mathews seems to think Obama has, but I think it was intended as a crack about politicians in general/a pro-Obama comment than anything directed against Palin.

Only Obama can write? He wrote that horrible, cliche ridden, sorry excuse for an inauguration speech. I was on vacation in Australia in Nov 2007, some locals engaged me in conversation about the upcoming presidential race and they asked me about the One and if I had read his book. I said that I had not, and they both said they had and they could not figure out what all the fuss was about. It was not a very good book, they told me, not coherent or interesting, why does everyone think that guy is so smart, they asked. Why indeed.

Part of Obama’s problem is he is lost without a teleprompter (or someone feeding him a prepared answer) and he is trying to keep his left wing liberal socialist agenda in his head and not coming out of his mouth – he tries to sound in the center but all the while thinking about all the liberal things he could do.

My family and I are beginning to use REDSTATE and other conservative blogs as our main source of info/news. [Seeing the MSNBC logo caused me some trouble watching that youtube flick.]

As for the talking head, time will tell how wrong and bigoted they are with respect to Sarah Palin and the rest of the conservatives.

They are now treating us like lepers. Fortunately, I’m already IMMUNE with their sarcasms. Anyway, the feeling is mutual and in my case, they are far worse than lepers…. the MSM are leaches.
