Northern Ireland/Belfast was to Europe (at least the Anglo part of Europe). And, a “solution” there will be every bit as difficult as Ireland. The biggest difference will likely be the body count, IPK being much, much larger.

Most must have noticed this.. The activities of terrorist organizations have spread to a very large area. Right from Bangladesh to Egypt. Not that terrorist activities are new to India. India has been struggling with Islamic terrorism for decades. Earlier it was Pakistan aided groups targeting India(death by a thousand cuts). Pakistan has obviously lost all control of the organizations and they have even turned on Pakistan. Anti India agenda used by politicians in Pakistan prevents Pakistan from taking real action against the terrorist groups. Pakistan is the major training ground for terrorists.

Now the network has expanded. It includes the AQ / Let / JEM and various other terrorist organizations. This particular attack was a military style attack. I don't believe for a second "Indian Mujaheddin" could carry out such an attack.

Eventually every country will need to fight and fund its own war with terrorism. America alone can not fight or spend for this fight. America and countries impacted by terrorism will need to better coordinate and work. For Islamic Terrorists America and Israel are "Evil" forces. And that's the real target.

I wish Barack Obama will take the fight against terrorism to its logical end. I just can find that hope.

This is the beginning of terrorist attacks under Obama's watch. President Bush will have the FBI, DoJ, and CIA begin working hand in hand with the Indians in this matter. However, its likely the trail runs into Pakistan via Khasmir or Sri Lanka.

should remind us how very real the threat of domestic terrorism is. And with that threat you would think we could find a terrorism expert to fill the top spot at Homeland Security. We, however, are getting Janet Napolitano, whose only expertise I can discern is border/immigration issues. I’ll say an extra prayer for us this Thanksgiving.

Another indication that history will look back at GWB with grace and thanks as the years go by and we experience more attacks. The Indian government is an example what happens when you appease terrorists and try to "reach out".

True my words -> a few years from now we will see how "horrible" Bush was for this nation during his reign.

But most Bush-haters would prefer entire America going up in flames rather than giving him credit for keeping us safe.

I say: Thanks Bush for keeping us safe and keep it up for another two months.

we need to remember that the English are still a rallying point (enemy) for those in this region. The "opportunity" that is starting to "seem" to be the timing catalyst, is EU (read: English empire in Terrorist minds) economic discussions going there. General India instability the goal here with the EU event providing the huge International attention they crave in these events.

So the "Westerners" being reported on are most likely British. But, we (Americans) are always a worthy/handy secondary target of any Terrorism around the globe. Some Americans may be in the middle and handy hostages.

With the election of the Obama Surrender doctrine these events may become more frequent. NY Subway under threat has hit the Alert board.

While Biden promised the Democrat Appeasement minions that "they might not appear to get it right" when they are first challenged, they will settle into appeasement mode which will raise Terrorist recruitment to new levels. This will occur, knowing they will meet less resistance from the US Obama Administration and a return to Bill Clinton Cruise-missile distractions rather than Fighting Terrorists around the globe.

Allowing those who oppose Freedom of Any/all citizens around the World will not just give up. A wider/greater War may become necessary - what the Bush Doctrine (taking the Fight to the Terrorists now, fighting against inter-territorial Clans before they engulf the World into official Nations/States dragged into complete OPEN conflict) tried to avoid. Let us hope other Nations will take up the slack, or these will be considered the "good days."

The Democrats would prefer we wait until the World is embattled to the point that we need full WWII scale actions again. Rather than committing to preventive surgery, they prefer we wait until a complete amputation is required.
