Another opportunity and McCain throws in the towel.

She is violating the law by ignoring a deportation order, receiving benefits, contributing to Obamas campaign. I wonder if she voted in the primary?

McCain can mention that ignoring immigration laws is a national security issue. He can also mention ilegal immigrants are not intitled to welfare, housing, social security, drivers licenses. Identity fraud is a problem. He already lost the immigration vote. Why not win PA? McCain doesn't want his staff talking about this or Reverend Wright.

By the way, I am still waiting to hear mentions of 401K's or "$5 a gallon gasoline doesn't bother me".

McCain doesn't want to end the campaign on a negative note and is wasting money running ads about global warming and his support for "cap and trade" taxes. He is throwing in the towel. I know there are those that hate the comparison to Bob Dole, but when McCain seems to look like a possible winner, he refuses to do what it takes to win.

I hope I am wrong.

He helped a young Norwegian woman some years back.

That's the original article. Here's a translation:

Mary Menth Andersen was 31 years old at the time and had just married Norwegian Dag Andersen. She was looking forward to starting a new life in Åsgårdstrand in Vestfold with him. But first she had to get all of her belongings across to Norway. The date was November 2nd, 1988.
At the airport in Miami things were hectic as usual, with long lines at the check-in counters. When it was finally Mary’s turn and she had placed her luggage on the baggage line, she got the message that would crush her bubbling feeling of happiness.
-You’ll have to pay a 103 dollar surcharge if you want to bring both those suitcases to Norway, the man behind the counter said.
Mary had no money. Her new husband had travelled ahead of her to Norway, and she had no one else to call.
-I was completely desperate and tried to think which of my things I could manage without. But I had already made such a careful selection of my most prized possessions, says Mary.

Although she explained the situation to the man behind the counter, he showed no signs of mercy.
-I started to cry, tears were pouring down my face and I had no idea what to do. Then I heard a gentle and friendly voice behind me saying, That’s OK, I’ll pay for her.
Mary turned around to see a tall man whom she had never seen before.
-He had a gentle and kind voice that was still firm and decisive. The first thing I thought was, Who is this man?
Although this happened 20 years ago, Mary still remembers the authority that radiated from the man.
-He was nicely dressed, fashionably dressed with brown leather shoes, a cotton shirt open at the throat and khaki pants, says Mary.
She was thrilled to be able to bring both her suitcases to Norway and assured the stranger that he would get his money back. The man wrote his name and address on a piece of paper that he gave to Mary. She thanked him repeatedly. When she finally walked off towards the security checkpoint, he waved goodbye to her.

The piece of paper said ‘Barack Obama’ and his address in Kansas, which is the state where his mother comes from. Mary carried the slip of paper around in her wallet for years, before it was thrown out.
-He was my knight in shining armor, says Mary, smiling.
She paid the 103 dollars back to Obama the day after she arrived in Norway. At that time he had just finished his job as a poorly paid community worker* in Chicago, and had started his law studies at prestigious Harvard university.
In the spring of 2006 Mary’s parents had heard that Obama was considering a run for president, but that he had still not decided. They chose to write a letter in which they told him that he would receive their votes. At the same time, they thanked Obama for helping their daughter 18 years earlier.
In a letter to Mary’s parents dated May 4th, 2006 and stamped ‘United States Senate, Washington DC’, Barack Obama writes**:
‘I want to thank you for the lovely things you wrote about me and for reminding me of what happened at Miami airport. I’m happy I could help back then, and I’m delighted to hear that your daughter is happy in Norway. Please send her my best wishes. Sincerely, Barack Obama, United States senator’.
The parents sent the letter on to Mary.

This week VG met her and her husband in the café that she runs with her friend Lisbeth Tollefsrud in Åsgårdstrand.
-It’s amazing to think that the man who helped me 20 years ago may now become the next US president, says Mary delightedly.
She has already voted for Obama. She recently donated 100 dollars to his campaign.
She often tells the story from Miami airport, both when race issues are raised and when the conversation turns to the presidential elections.
-I sincerely hope the Americans will see reason and understand that Obama means change, says Mary.

Will this matter to anyone here? Probably not. But the man's no monster.

I likely won't be posting much until after the election. Tempers flare too easily so close to it.

A story has just broken that the Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) agency is going to investigate and prosecute anyone who released the information that Obama's aunt is an illegal! SHE defied an immigration judge and stayed here illegally, but they are looking to punish the person who blew the whistle on her! Why do I smell the hand of Barack Obama behind this? I bet as soon as the story broke,he picked up the phone and called the head of ICE and told him "I am a Senator,I want this person prosecuted". Is this what we have to look forward to if The One is elected? Chilling.

Can you imagine if this hadn't come out now how this info could've been used against an Obama administration? Who knows what the enemies of the US could do with the knowledge that the President of the United States has an illegal aunt living here?

That's what makes all this secrecy surrounding Obama so dangerous. it can be used in ways that can have terrible consequences to us all.

He didn't know 2 of his campaign offices displayed posters of Argentinian Marxist, Che Guevera.

He didn't know he'd have to change "rich," 9 months ago, to $500,000, to $250,000, to $150,000, to $120,000.

He didn't know cocaine was illegal and harmful.

He didn't know a President should be a role model.

He didn't know he'd have to tax Illinois residents after promising he wouldn't.

He didn't know the Presidential candidates are sort of expected to place their hand over their heart during the National Anthem. Maybe he couldn't find his heart for America.

This will end up being a non-story. Obama's camp will do their usual, "This is John McCain's / GOP way of creating a faux controversy while trying to distract the American people from the real issues on the eve of the election." And the MSM won't report much on it.

However, I am curious. He didn't know about his aunt. He didn't know much about Ayers background. For a guy as smart as he and the MSM would have us believe, those are some glaringly oblivious omissions.

It is amazing to me that Obama's illegal immigrant aunt is not only living in public housing and accepting Welfare, but that she was able to donate $$$ to Obama's campaign - not just as a non-citizen of the USA - but how can it be that folks on receiving Welfare can choose to give it to politicians? If I wanted my tax dollars going to Obama, I would send them.

How many other Welfare recipients are sending Obama money?

If I wanted my tax dollars going to Obama, I would send them.

How many other Welfare recipients are sending Obama money?

Just some thoughts on this situation. Here?s the problem with Aunti Zeituni Onyango, the freeloader and Bambi's responses.

There are two ways to take this. First, she was there for his swearing in and he admits that he saw her two years ago. He must have known of her plight and yet in his selfish, narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) he felt no empathy and did absolutely nothing to help with her illegal alien situation. This makes him, 1)a total lying sob, 2)a cold-hearted dis-compassionate hypocritical liberal and 3)a person who has no sense of family.

OK, we have had other such presidents, ie Bill Clinton, LBJ, FDR and you can go down the list. Arguably this might not have an effect on the way someone leads, although for me, personally, it is a deal killer.

The other alternative view is even worse. When someone in my family, no matter how distant a relative, yet alone someone whom I care about and cares about me, has a problem, they come to me. They know that I am a problem solver and am willing to give my time, effort and sometimes money to help solve it. They know that the worst that will happen is that I will say no money, but I will always work with them to solve a problem, no matter how serious. That is my reputation in my family.

Obama is supposed to be a leader. He's running to be the leader of the still free world. One would think he would be a problem solver and would leap at the chance to help a woman who was so pivotal in his upbringing. If she didn?t go to him for help, one has to wonder why. As a newly minted senator, he had a number of ways to help with her immigration status. He could get a private bill passed, lean on the immigration authorities, etc. He could have reached in his own pocket and helped her to get a decent home. He could have even taken her into his own home to help over this hard time. But, if we are to believe him, and that is a stretch, she never came to him. Why wouldn't she? The only possible conclusion is that she knew up front that it would be futile and that he would do nothing. Now if that's what his beloved Aunti felt about him, how can I expect him to lead the free world any differently? Either option makes him unfit for duty in my humble opinion.

Finally, a third scenario occurs to me. This makes him a complete liar and hypocrite. She actually came to him and he did help. But his idea of help is like all liberals, get the government to take care of her. A call to one of his lib buddies in the People's State of Mass would get her enlisted in public housing, welfare, food stamps and free health care. And this option seems to make the most sense. To a liberal, there is no greater to service to humanity, than to get a person signed up for welfare benefits and therefore a ward of the State.

Abd if I had an aunt, she wouldn't live in public housing, and if I had a half brother, he wouldn't be living in a shanty on $1 per day.

And I'm only part of the middle class that multi-millionaire Obama feels needs his help.
