This is the perfect storm for the Democrats; they’ll pass a pile of anti-business legislation, wrap some protectionism around it, and as the economy goes FURTHER down the toilet, they’ll chant the same anti-Bush slogans that they’ve been chanting for 8 years (even though 62 straight months of that 8 years saw positive growth).

I wonder whether the dems will allow GWB to stay in the White House until Jan. 20th.

The dems are awfully optimistic about their chances on Nov. 4th. I wonder if they realize election day has not arrived yet, and their politically stupid comments about taxes, 401k, defense spending very well may be (and should be) used against them? Probably not. They’re already celebrating their “inevitable” victory.

I’m reminded of the Proverb – pride goeth before a fall. They’ve got the pride thing down; here’s hoping for the quick fall.

Cutting defense and intel is a secret money tree! Kind of reminds me of another administration.

I’m very concerned that if 25% cut in military budget is passed, that could mean our military will receive less training, which is needed to keep our soldiers, sailors, and airmen sharp.

Keeping cool equipment but provides subpar training programs still means bad news for us. I don’t want our guys in military acting like third world soldiers with flashy equipment. No way!

One of benefits in Iraq and Afghanistan for our military is that the training gets to be applied in real world and it can be adjusted to reflect new combat realities. Not to mention testing new equipment in combat environment, and bringing home new ideas for fighting the enemies of future.

If that’s alright with you, I’d rather to keep military as it is, or give it an increase in its budget and cut 25% in entitlement programs. Can I get an amen here?!

Don’t worry. No matter which administration is in power they can’t really cut the pentagon budget. The reason is that a lot of the budget can’t be touched. For instance the pensions owed to former soldiers. That comes out of the pentagon budget,not the general budget.That amount is in the tens of billions of dollars. They also can’t cut the amount used for medical care for former soldiers or the amount spent in hospitals such as Walter Reed. Political realities also prevent much reduction. Whether Democrat or Republican Senators will not allow the amount spent in their own state to be cut,no matter who gets elected.

Yeah, that’s it. Those letters the IRS sends out every year “asking” people to send money are now going to be “asking” for more. I’m guessing “No” will not be the right answer.

Give him credit for seemingly coming to the realization that there is virtue in fiscal responsibility. If you want to pay for infrastructure projects and unemployment benefits, you can’t just keep borrowing from the Chinese and our future generations. You must cut spending or raise revenue. Would that the current administration taken that advice to heart instead of running us to a ten trillion dollar debt.

If you need any more reason to get motivated and motivate others, just think of Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Dodd, Frank, Rangel, McDermott, every other damned socialist, having power to ruin America for another two years. Talk to folks you think can be persuaded, and leave kool aid drinkers alone, (waste of time).

What we are in store for is a complete REPEAT HISTORY of Bill Clinton’s first two years in office during which he too had Democrat control of Congress (and too many Republicans in the Senate willing to be BI-Partisan which allowed him to get away with it)….

Obama already tipped his hand on his (what they insist was only because it was “a non-binding vote”) to raise taxes on people earning just $42,000. If it was non-binding and he was against raising taxes on people earning less than $250,000, why didn’t he vote AGAINST IT? It was non-binding!!!

It will take years for this country to overcome the damage an Obambam administration will do to this country. The writing is on the wall… Dem’s left and Lefter (lol) are out-right stating their intent, yet some people still cling to some FANTASY (not Obama’s implication of Joe The Plumber’s ‘Dream’) that Democrats in complete control won’t raise every-one’s taxes in order to meet their Spending desires. Of course, some will be those Welfare checks called Tax cuts, but no REAL tax relief to those who pay them will be seen.

Amazing how pathetically Democrats massacre the language. Up is down in their world.

I doubt any one person knows exactly how many different programs in our country get funded with tax dollars. Why not cut a few of the less absolutely essential programs? How come our education and security systems ALWAYS get de-funded, yet the DC landscaping always looks perfect and our beloved leaders can ride in style in brand-new (leased) luxury vehicles on the taxpayer’s dime?

I have to live on a budget, if I don’t pay essential bills, my lights go out and the police will evict me out of my apartment. The same is true for every other taxpayer. Yet our beloved leaders threaten our safety and stabilty if we don’t pay more taxes EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR.

I get so sick of this BS. Try trimming out some govornment beancounters and pencil pushers before you fire cops and gut our national defense budget.

There will be a huge exodus of military members leaving the military anyway. After all, being patriotic means paying more taxes. The bigger issue is, who will replace them when Biden’s prophesied crisis happens next year? Obama is on record at least twice for saying he supports women being registered in the selective service along with men. And he certainly will not want the military to be 95% afro-american. His followers as volunteers? Riiight. So that leaves a draft. How do we feel about young mothers, our sisters, our daughters being forced into the military? I served active duty Navy for five years followed by 21 years reserves and I am a woman. I know that it is still a man’s world. I support woman volunteers.

2. Medicaid/Medicare gets a 25%.

3. All welfare payments get cut 25%.

4. All Congressional, Executive and Judicial branch salaries get a 25% cut across (making them subject to the same taxes as you and I).

5. National Endowment for the Farts gets eradicated all together.

A solution, within our control, to a lot of our problems (both D’s & r’s) rests in two words: Term Limits.

He was done as much harm to America as any terrorist. Until we stand up to such pukes we will keep getting screwed. I don’t want to bend over for anymore Barney Franknfurters. We need responsible Americans in Congress. Ones that respect all viewpoints not just who they think will vote for them. This is supposed to be a government for the people by the people. Barney is running around Washington like he is a Roman Senator at a giant toga party. How much longer will it go on?

I guess I was projecting on out. I still consider the people in his district Americans. Not very smart ones, but still Americans.
