So what did you do with the money?

Uma Richie (Diary) Sunday, October 12th at 9:56AM EST (link)

The money you saved on gas this week.

My husband and I set our family budget based on the local high gas price of $4.05 per gallon. The $3.22 per gallon current price put $25 back in our pocket. So we’re off to Home Depot for some paint — It’ll buy us a gallon.

Since we are not retiring for another 28 years, and we’re 11 years from sending anyone to college, we’re ignoring our stock market losses and are looking for buying opportunities.

At least in the short term, there is an upside to the financial mess.

Hold tight....

don’t fall to the temptation of buying cheap stocks, just yet.
The money people are telling me to hold tight until after the election. They are scared *hitless of an elected Obama and give
a grim prognoses for Nov. 5th.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

Okay, I had to sign up for this one.

Cool post & video.

Great for everyone to put down the rhetorical weapons for a few moments and watch something like that.

Ah well, back to work.

Cheers all.

Well how great that liberalnutjob enjoys what all Americans do and is a pleasant person to boot!

Swings

Just like swings they should put one on every playground.

Was that an anti-semitic slur?

You Raaaaaaacist!

I sold the last of my inverse ETFs on Friday.

The stench of government intervention got too much to endure. When IMF gets in a room with all the world’s politician bankers WTF knows what could happen next.

Nothing positive if you believe free markets I’m thinking.

If no big intervention comes I’ll probably regret selling come Monday afternoon. If we get a sucker’s rally early I’m buying some QID with a target of 120.

I bought a bit of GE, SSS, VLO for the IRA…but I’m probably early on those also.

…in a swing state?

I always made it just so far

Raven (Diary) Sunday, October 12th at 11:10AM EST (link)

Then the tension in the chains on the swing set would break and I’d be in free-fall for a second or 2 and lose a LOT of momentum…

Anyway, speaking of things we all want to do…

I thought the same thing (gosh, is she a Republican?), then I realized with all those harnesses that she wasn’t going to be launched. That looks like a LOT of fun!

You’d just find Andrea Dworkin’s moldering rough drafts in there.
