Very average, I would say, given the indications, even if a good number did make it through law school, which is no indication of great intelligence, but rather persistence, as several mediocre former students of mine have made it through.

However, they want you to believe that what they do is so complex that the typical American cannot do without them. Their main talent is an ability to manipulate language, which with little effort can be deciphered.

In fact, if D.C. closed down instead of Wall Street, we would all be better off!

Imagine: 3 trillion dollars of taxes back in our pockets! Okay, so we might spend a few bucks for guys in pick-up trucks to protect us against invasion.

But anyway, I wondered how some Democrats in tight races voted on this bill. I cruised over to RCP’s House Polls page and just looked at the first page of most recent polls. A few names to add…

Baron Hill IN-9 (Poll on 9/12 had him +11 over Mike Sodrel)

John Yarmuth KY-3 is one of the freshmen Rove refers to (9/8 poll had him +8 over Anne Northup)

Chris Carney PA-10 is another Freshman (8/27 poll has him +4 over Chris Hackett)

If Pelosi thinks these people are vulnerable enough not to whip their vote on this key measure, then their opponents deserve extra support from us to see that their defeat occurs!

If there’s another source with more, and reliable polls, lets see some more names?!? I’d look but I’m punting at 3 AM.

Me thinks there might be leadership changes after the election…if not sooner. Kind of like Lane Kiffin across the bay. Might have a job tomorrow, might not.

Well, they both appear to have mastered snatching defeat from the jaws of victory haven’t they?
