Much more.

PS: Hey, remember the Countrywide loan payola thing that Senator Dodd was in on? Yup, Franklin Raines was one of those guys. So was James Johnson, who was also tight with Senator Obama’s campaign until he got caught out.
Small world, huh?
Note by Jeff: The Obama campaign sent an email message today (supposedly from the nominee himself) which said, in part, “John McCain’s campaign is doing everything it can to focus attention on false personal attacks and distractions — but there’s too much at stake for that kind of politics. I need your help to get the conversation back on track.”
We can read this as, “Stop pointing fingers at me! It’s against “the rules” to actually tell anyone that my campaign has been bought and paid for by the Fannie Mae/Countrywide/etc. crooks! BUSH!! ROVE!! OLD POLITICS!!!”

And the money he received from Lehman brothers.
Say something like – It’s good to be Obama….
And have dollar bills streaming down behind him.
“Money for Obama while you pay for the mess he helped create.”
The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
Not enough
Shawn Gillogly (Diary) Thursday, September 18th at 5:42PM EST (link)People aren’t going to make the link on Raines alone. People don’t know that name. It’s only one person, and McCain isn’t immune to a single bad choice around him either. They need to go ‘much’ harder on this. And his “inflate your tires” energy policy.
Energy costs and housing are what’s wrong with the economy. BO was wrong on both. If he was then, why won’t he be in the future? Why in the world are we soft-peddling this?

Brian Simpson (Diary) Thursday, September 18th at 7:16PM EST (link)If he is singling out Raines, then he is sure to have more coming on all of the other advisers Obama has. He could put out two a week for the next month with all of the stuff these guys are tied to.

HairyTrueMan Thursday, September 18th at 7:36PM EST (link)They’re calling McCain a liar as well because they say that the man in the video is not a paid Obama advisor. It’s a perfect straw man. The ad never says as much. McCain should hit back with an ad talking about Obama’s contributions from Fanny/Freddie. I think the ad scares the DKos crowd, and they’re resorting to the same old divisive politics.
Take the fork in the road.
Hey, cool, gives me a chance to use this

A smart campaign, and a smart candidate, would immediately realize they/he are on the wrong side of this issue and make hasty retreat.
But not Obama. He forges headfirst into the fray. Go get’em!

The dog that yelps is the one that’s hit.
Sometimes I could wish that McCain would just “let ‘er rip”. That said, he’s a better politician than I’ll ever be. I think (hope) he’s using his ammo in the best way. Aiming, not “spraying and praying”.

Judging by Obama’s reaction, I’d say the ranging shot was the best choice. Might even Continue to be the best choice for further attacks…
