Not to pile on – OK, that’s a lie – but $10 million in three days and (via Constant Reader wsjreader) $47 million for August…
Hold on a second.
$47 MILLION IN AUGUST.
…suggests that Josh Green’s suggestion of a lack of enthusiasm among the GOP for Palin is perhaps just the slightest bit exaggerated.
Just the slightest.

I gave to McCain and the RNC for the 1st time this season because of Palin.
phxg (Diary) Monday, September 1st at 12:03PM EST (link)I believe the ability to raise money is just an added bonus from the Palin pick.

Moe, perhaps you can do a front pager on how much the McCain campaign has on hand for September, and how they distribute this remainder to the other GOP candidates.
Hopefully they will be sending huge checks to the states and the RNC will be able to in return give huge checks to the McCain team. I wonder how this will be done. It would be nice to know how much we have for the next two months..

A question about donation...
CV_Gas (Diary) Monday, September 1st at 1:22PM EST (link)Since McCain has opted for public financing, where would our donation dollars be most effectively sent to assist with the campaign?

Go Palin!!!
Gandalf (Diary) Monday, September 1st at 3:42PM EST (link)I have also donated for the first time ever to a political campaign, though I donated hours to Bush in 2004 and Tallent in 2006.
I was fully behind McCain before, but now I’m PUMPED to be supporting Palin for VP!

The bad news is that I don't want
dbecraft Monday, September 1st at 4:46PM EST (link)Sarah Palin on the fund raising trail.
She would be better used in direct fighting against the Democratic platform. Oh well, I do hope that she gets in her licks while raising money – and speaks her mind (as she did in Alaska).
She will raise more money than McCain of course…

I like that they are keeping her quiet
QueenOfCups (Diary) Monday, September 1st at 5:09PM EST (link)building the suspense.
I think it is wise not to overexpose her… the public is lready expericing Obamessiah fatigue. Make the people have to dig on the web to find out about her, find old videos, etc… it really is creating a buzz around her.
Heh, you may be right, but I like her so much
dbecraft Monday, September 1st at 5:46PM EST (link)that it is a shame to just make her a fund-raiser. She has the right ideas, the right plans for the future, and the right method of attack – honesty and integrity.
Darn hard combination to beat and I would just love to release her on the Democrats!

I too wondered about this, but apparently...
RandomGuy (Diary) Tuesday, September 2nd at 12:22AM EST (link)McCain can transfer any money he raises to State Party organizations (read: battleground states) and the RNC after he’s officially the party nominee, to funds that are specifically set up by the RNC and state parties to help him.
So it doesn’t really matter.
