I agree – John McCain is a man of conviction, confidence, and class. Not only was this ad a gracious, generous and classy gesture, it was Presidential. And projects his confidence in himself – as a man, and as a winner.

Just to see how long the SCUM would take to pick up on it.

Better to not do it, though. Leave 'perfect' alone.

BTW, I followed some links from absentee's "Red in Denver" blog, and I found out that William Ayers was one of the people supporting the attempt to get Ward Churchill reinstated at CU.

We need to make sure that William Ayers is a gift that keeps on giving.

This is my first post to Redstate although have been reading since the beginning. I am sure most contributors to this site would consider me to be the "Online Left" (although I think I'm pretty conservative, myself).

I am not livid. I think that this is the ad of a man who is basically decent and good. This ad is in line with what my impressions of John McCain were in the past. It has been a while since we saw this side of him.

Wait till Russia does something again. Run it a few times the only change, put McCain at the end instead of Reagan- if only because all the news channels will go bonkers, and spend the whole week discussing it.

They'll probably cry about how despicable it is, but it will be run over and over, and McCain will be compared to Reagan, over and over, and the foreign policy issue will gain increasing exposure.
