Police have found the corpses of 35 babies who were aborted late in their mothers’ pregnancies at a Maryland abortuary. The police were searching for medical records of an 18 year-old girl whose botched abortion ended with her being rushed by helicopter to Johns Hopkins Medical Center.
The victim of the abortion had been ordered by the abortionist to drive some 60 miles from New Jersey, where the abortion procedure commenced, to Maryland, where the doctor had another facility. (Its not clear, but it appears that the doctor was not licensed to perform late-term abortions in New Jersey; he was, apparently, in Maryland.)
The doctor, who owns National Womens’ Services, has had his medical license suspended a number of times over the last 18 years, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, which provided these additional details:
On Aug. 12, an 18-year-old woman, 21 weeks pregnant, signed abortion consent forms at Brigham’s Voorhees facility, at 1 Alpha Ave. Brigham then inserted the absorbent rods that widen the cervix.
On Aug. 13, the patient returned to the Voorhees clinic, with “the understanding that she would be provided transportation to Philadelphia” for the surgical phase of the abortion.
Instead, “Dr. Brigham . . . instructed [her] and the other women who were scheduled to complete abortions to form a line of cars and follow the lead car to a location where the abortion would be performed.”
After botching the abortion and cutting through the young woman’s uterus into her bowel and vagina, the doctor refused to call an ambulance and, instead, put her into the back of a rented Chevrolet Malibu to drive her to the hospital. There, doctors inquired about what had happened, but the abortionists, Dr. Steven Brigham and Dr. Nicole Riley dodged the questions. The young woman, who was in critical condition, was transferred by air to Johns Hopkins while the abortionists returned to their facility to perform the next siabortion.
The victim of the abortionists called police and her medical records were subpoenaed from the Maryland abortion facility. Police executing a warrant found the gruesome discovery of 35 late-aborted babies sitting in a freezer.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health this month ordered Brigham to permanently shut his four clinics in the state for repeatedly employing unlicensed caregivers.
Brigham, 53, has rarely given interviews about his legal scrapes, which go back as far as 1989 and have pitted him against medical boards, creditors, landlords, patients, and others. He declined to be interviewed for this article.

You’d have to in order to do what they do. But to save fetus parts and fetuses in a freezer? What in the world for? It’s beyond a loss of humanity. It’s insanity. Look any normal person (both pro abortion and pro life) is made sick by the thought of late term procedures but to then save the human parts?…I just can’t understand it.

In a letter to District Attorney Seth Williams, the Pro-Life Union of Southeastern Pennsylvania also questioned whether Gosnell failed to submit fetal remains of second-trimester abortions for a pathologist’s examination, as required by state law.

The clinic, a rambling, three-story structure at 3801 Lancaster Ave., was closed on Feb. 22, after a raid by federal drug agents and state authorities. Gosnell’s medical license was also suspended.
Gosnell, 69, a 1966 graduate of Jefferson Medical College who has been performing abortions in West Philadelphia since the early 1970s, has in recent years done about 1,000 abortions annually, state records show. Since 1981, Gosnell has faced 46 civil lawsuits, 10 for medical malpractice, including one case in which a patient died. He is now being investigated by federal, state, and city law enforcement authorities.

FBI agents on Friday searched the West Philadelphia home of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, whose clinic was shut down by the state in February as a “clear danger to the public.”
“The FBI paid a visit to Dr. Gosnell this morning and he cooperated with them in the execution of a search warrant,” said Gosnell’s lawyer, William J. Brennan.

State health officials are seeking to permanently shut down a West Philadelphia abortion clinic because the doctor who ran it has not responded to their charges.
Gosnell was notified that the state was asking for a default judgment and given until April 30 to respond, but again he did not do so, department spokeswoman Stacy Kriedeman said Wednesday.
