See Ya, Bob!

I’m speaking of course, of Congressman Bob Etheridge, the Democrat from North Carolina. Funny, his credentials can actually be abbreviated as “DNC.”

As you know by now, Etheridge assaulted a college kid, yet the DNC and some liberal media outlets are blaming Andrew Breitbart for breaking the story.

Bottom line? Bob Etheridge assaulted someone and he needs to step down.

Bob Etheridge’s legislative record can be seen here.

Meet Elena Kagan’s Friends in the Liberal Media

Isn’t it completely shocking unsurprising to learn that Elena Kagan, Obama’s newest choice for the United States Supreme Court, has a bunch of old friends in liberal media?

Via Politico: Kagan’s Journo Friends

For Elena Kagan, this much is true: She has friends in journo circles. Seems like everybody has a “Kagan Connection.”

Most assessments of Kagan begin like this:

“I first met Kagan in the mid-’90s when we were both former law clerks for Judge Abner Mikva on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit,” wrote The New Republic’s Jeffrey Rosen.

“Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan and I shared a dinner table once,” wrote Washington Post writer Jonathan Capehart.

“I had her for two classes” at Harvard Law School, said CBS’ Jan Crawford Greenberg. “But she was very challenging, while at the same time very engaging and lively.”

Read it all. It gets worse.

Kagan’s confirmation in the SCOTUS could finally marry the Fourth Estate to the Judicial Branch. Which would be ironic, considering the Fourth Estate has been sleeping with the Executive Branch for the last two years.

Could Ms. Kagan’s media connections come up in the future? Who knows? After all, everyone trusts the media, right?

Better just make a mental note for the future.

Republicans Retain Scott Brown’s Vacant State Senate Seat in Massachusetts

The Republican candidate, Richard Ross has won the MA state senate seat vacated by US Senator Scott Brown.

According to the Boston Herald:

Republican Richard Ross claimed the state Senate seat formerly held by Scott Brown as his Democrat opponent conceded a GOP victory last night, in a contest viewed as a referendum on Brown’s stunning U.S. Senate victory, experts said.

Ross, a Wrentham state representative, defeated Democrat Peter Smulowitz, a doctor and political newcomer from Needham, not only reaffirming Brown’s win but giving the GOP added momentum heading into the November election.

“Republicans can say this is a harbinger of things to come in November,” said political analyst Lou DiNatale. “Republicans want to say this is a trend.”

Oh, Republicans want to see this as a trend?

Check these sobering statistics from the Boston Globe:

According to unofficial results, Ross garnered 15,893 votes to Smulowitz’s 9,819, giving Ross about 62 percent of the votes and Smulowitz 38 percent. Ross won Needham, seen as a liberal stronghold in the 12-community district, by a vote of 2,717 to 2,495.

I think that qualifies as a sign of a trend.

Coffee Party? Really?

The Coffee Party is the new Progressive alternative to the Tea Party. The Washington Post and The New York Times just love it.

Personally, I like Allahpundit’s take.
