To Liberals Still Licking Their Wounds After Hillary Clinton's Loss, Crowd Size Matters

The left is desperate for a win, maybe we should just let them have the ‘crowd size’ thing. For them it’s become the single most important issue of our time, who had more people in Washington, DC than President Donald Trump’s Inauguration? Suddenly the media finds reporting on attendance news, not just anecdotal, when it’s suits their needs. Their message appears to be, “Sure, Trump won, but look at our rallies, we matter”.

Over the last two days, we have been inundated with pictures of Barack Obama’s 2008 inaugural, which was extremely well attended as the black community was excited to celebrate his presidency, so they showed up along with the normal white liberal political crowd. It was a huge sea of people. It was a historic moment, that people of both parties wanted to be a part of, little did we know it would become another club for the left to beat those on the right. Still bitter from Hillary Clinton’s loss, some seem to have forgotten that it’s the vote that matters.

On Friday night, CNN could speak of nothing else during their Inaugural Ball Coverage. Donald Trump of course couldn’t let this perceived slight go, so he had Sean Spicer address it at his first press conference, the size of the the crowd. Not his signature on an executive order that removes the individual mandate in Obamacare, no instead Spicer was sent out to condemn the media for their coverage of the size of the audience at the inaugural. Sean Spicer’s defense of Trump set the internet aflame. Fortunately their frustration is pretty funny to watch.

Parker wasn’t the only one getting in on the action #SpicerFacts started trending Saturday. It was hard for the internet to resist such a tempty meme.

Then the always trying to be relevant Saturday Night Live, created a scene where a naked Vladimir Putin compared the number of people at Trump’s Inauguration to the Women’s March in DC.

Not only is the media comparing the Inauguration to Obama’s crowning moment, now we’re going to have to hear about it every time they hold a protest. The Women’s March felt like a wake for Hillary Clinton, the largest grief counseling session ever. However the headlines are exploding with coverage of “The Largest March Ever”, even if a majority of attendees couldn’t tell you why they were there.

Hillary Clinton lost, Barack Obama is out of the White House. They need something to hang their hat on. They have nothing else.

So if it’s cold comfort for them to hold these rallies, and aerial pictures to make them feel better, I’m thinking we should let them have it. They aren’t holding the White House, the Congress and the State Houses, so I guess “people showed up” is their consolation prize. They should be used to it, they invented the participation trophy.
