Taking back our seat in TN 5th District

Self-proclaimed BLUE DOG Jim Cooper did not listen to his constituents.  He voted “YES” on this health care bill.  Well, I say we vote out all the so called “Blue Dog’s” who do not represent WE THE PEOPLE!  I am going to do everything in my power to have Congressman Cooper voted out!  I am tired of RINOs and Blue Dogs.

Cooper’s Issues (click issues)  I really like how you can not open “BUDGET”, but you can “Music and Entertainment”.  Don’t get me wrong, this is Middle TN, and the music industry is important to our way of life, but so is the budget, our children and families, and national security.  Why doesn’t he have anything written on these topics?  Are they not important to him, or does he not want people to know how he really feels on these KEY ISSUES???  That is not for me to say.  I just find it interesting.

Cooper’s Approval Rating???

According to this article in NRO, it looks like Cooper’s approval rating is only at 23%.  I am actually surprised.  Cooper’s district encompasses most of Davidson County, and parts of both Cheatham and Wilson Counties.  However, Davidson County is very heavily democratic.   There are some good people running against Cooper though.  Of course, my husband, Patrick Miranda is one, but there is a Libertarian and some others running as well (including another democrat).    We need to replace Jim Cooper for sure!

Hello Redstate!  I hope you are all doing well.  I am writing this so you can learn a little about me.

I am a wife of one and mother of many (I have 5 children).  I was never all that into politics until I met my husband, Patrick, and now my life is family and politics.  I love to cook and have an unhealthy obsession with cookbooks.  I like to exercise, and like all kinds, including running, pilates, yoga, and others.  I love reading, and read all genres.  I have 2 tween daughters, and we enjoy watching “CHIC FLICKS” together.  I have a teenage son, and he is working towards becoming an Eagle Scout.  I have one son with autism, and he is a wonderful artist.  I have a baby son, who is the light of his sisters eyes (for now).

My husband, Patrick Miranda, is running for U.S. House of Representatives in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District.  He is running against the incumbent, Jim Cooper.   I am Patrick’s campaign assistant, and that entails more than I will bore you with.  Patrick is a conservative, and he has a passion for this country that many lack.  He stands up for what he believes, and he will fight for the will of the people in TN 5th District.
