It now reads

Michael A. Monsoor, a Navy Seal and practicing Christian of Lebanese and Irish descent

Somebody had some effect.

Next time people try to talk about how the left bias in the media is "unconscious" - which is what alot of well-meaning (read, "gutless") moderate pundits and politicians try to say - think about this one.

Think about how they deliberately dropped that paragraph between paragraphs that lead the reader to logically assume Monsoor was Muslim. Think about how carefully the wording was applied, so that they did not actually tell a lie, per se. Think about how easily the NYT writer (possibly in concert with his editor, and possibly in concert with the ombudsman) used this lie to urinate on the memory of a fine soldier who died doing heroic and selfless acts. A soldier who because of his Arab bloodlines was likely distrusted to some extent by his comrades, and yet was perhaps the biggest patriot any of them knew. This NYT writer pissed on his grave. Deliberately.

Then when they say the media left-bias is "unconscious", you can stick your boot up their @$$ and feel really, really satisfied about it.

There, recommended on your behalf.

Not that this isn't a worthy article; I just hadn't planned on recommending it.

But it's always interesting to see documentation as to how the left projects its own biases onto the right and accuses us of viewing the world through their polarized and dehumanizing glasses.
