But it often turns contentious. I do maintain that conservatives are shortsighted and stuck on electoral political system that cannot provide the instant gratification that they seek.

You cant really defeat what you dont understand. Plus, spite them as you may, the Left are effective subversives. What they managed to do in a little over 50 years is pretty amazing. We could steal a page or two from their playbook.

They may not be quite as patriotic, but they exist. Especially if you count the pro-military songs of Kid Rock and 3 Doors Down. Warrior by Kid Rock and Citizen Soldier by 3 Doors Down. Not saying they are the best bet, and as furious points out most are by amateurs, but they exist.

tells Israel the solution to the Shalit kidnapping is to give in to all the Palestinian demands.

has drilled into the troops in Afghanistan that their #1 priority is to make sure that they don’t kill any “civilians”.

seems to think the answer to everything is more “dialogue”.

just gave up 5 terrorist leaders and lots of lower level troops to Iran in exchange for the release of one “journalist”.

Let’s just say I don’t hold out high hopes that he will do the right thing.

When the video is made public – and I think it may be on YouTube now – I would put the Marines into a medium sized city/town in the general area and give them a set time to release the soldier. If he’s not released, I would flatten the city and kill absolutely every living thing in it. Then I’d send in the Marines to make sure nobody survived and then I’d let the SeaBees plow the city under and remove all trace of it from the face of the earth.

Then I’d give ‘em 24 hours. Wash, rinse, repeat.

And if they didn’t give him up, I’d kill every living thing in the country.

Too bad the modern left has so rejected displays of patriotism and the honoring of our heroes so thoroughly — there’s a lot they could learn about true sacrifice and community by respecting the costs incurred by our troops in the manner shown in this video.

As anybody who truly understands neo-Marxist tactics knows, politics is always the final act. What’s gong on right now has more to do with fatheads like Cronkite than Obama. Obama is just a figurehead who got lucky that he was at this place in time.

But conservative won’t learn. They’ll expect conservatives to act and fight like politicians and politicians to act and fight like conservatives. We’ve had it backwards for sixty years now.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by this, but I’d like to see more.
