If you want a good laugh, I thoroughly recommend the North Korean state news website. Here’s an example:
The Action Headquarters of the Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and Urging the Lee Myung Bak “Government” to Step Down in south Korea issued a statement on August 4 denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for its fascist suppression of workers.
Due to the Lee group’s repressive action the areas of a factory of Ssangyong Motor Co. looked like a battlefield, the statement noted, adding:
The authorities fired tear gas and used electric guns and other lethal weapons against the workers demanding the right to existence and hurled even police “commandoes” into the venue of their strike. This barbarous suppression lashed people from all walks of life into great fury.
It declared that youth and students would join the people of various social standings including the unionists of Ssangyong Motor Co. in their action.
So it questions the legitimacy of the South Korean government, and then talks about the “fascist suppression of workers”.
The non-North Korean news agencies don’t quite put it like that, surprise surprise. Here we are:
Dozens of strikers and police were injured in clashes this week. Police dropped tear gas from helicopters at workers, who shot nuts and bolts at riot police on the ground using large sling shots. The strikers also lobbed firebombs.
Totally fascist and uncalled for, clearly.
