Cuba will soon run out of toilet paper, apparently.

I wonder if it was all worth it for Fidel if, now, 50 years on from la Revolución Cubana, they can’t even produce toilet paper.

But I can’t feel sorry for them. Marxist murderers should get what they deserve. This helps a bit.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

Toilet paper will be taxed under Water Protection and Reinvestment Act,” H.R.3202, Representative Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore). Think of it like a sin tax. A dirty, dirty sin tax.

This legislation was foreshadowed back in 2007 during the Goracle-induced global warming frenzy, following the release of his movie. Such intellectual luminaries as Sheryl Crow publicly called for legally limiting TP use to one square per visit to the loo. Moreover, she campaigned on the issue with Laurie David, wife of Seinfeld creator Larry David. Presumably, potty police will conduct unannounced visits to ensure compliance.

No word yet on where Elaine sits on the issue.
