It appears that Granny Dunham has served her purpose during the campaign as the oh-so important “rock of the family” but yet “typical white person” in now President-elect Barack Obama’s life. After a silent, but both respected and disrespected foil in Obama’s campaign, she died election day. Obama made barely the slightest mention of her passing. Today he even skips her funeral.

Recall that the week before the election now-President-elect Obama traveled alone, without his wife and daughters, to make a last brief visit to her. Michelle did not go and pay her respects, nor did she and Barack allow a last visit by their daughter’s to see their great-grandmother. Indeed, last summer when they visited Hawaii, only Barack ventured a visit.

Now, today, we see even more evidence of how little Granny Dunham meant to the family and we see a stark example of President-elect Obama’s ‘family values’. At 5 p.m. today, Hawaiian-time (See Star Bulletin), the memorial service and internment of Madelyn Payne Dunham will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl, where President-elect Obama’s grandfather is already buried. Not attending is President-elect Obama. In fact, none of the Obama family apparently care enough to travel, even for a brief moment, to attend today’s memorial service.

Did you know that Barack Obama was affiliated with a leading national socialist party? Barack Obama didn’t include in his 2008 resume that he entered politics in the mid-1990s endorsed by Chicago’s leading socialists. This just keeps getting better and better. Barack Obama was an active participant in the 1990s, and a direct political beneficiary, of the Chicago New Party and, importantly, the Chicago DSA, a group of socialists affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America.

1. Barack Obama attended and participated in meetings of the Chicago New Party and the Chicago DSA, the local affiliate of the Democratic Socialists of America.

2. Barack Obama sought the endorsement of the Chicago DSA which required rigorous scrutiny by the party’s Political Committee as well as Mr. Obama’s signature on a contract promising “a visible and active relationship with the NP.”

3. Barack Obama actively used the endorsement from the Chicago DSA.

4. Barack Obama won his DSA-endorsed and -backed campaign to secure his seat in the Illinois State Senate.

5. Barack Obama continued his involvement with the Chicago DSA — including directly asking the group to join “his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration” — and received their endorsements in subsequent campaigns.

“Vote Early and Often” takes on new meaning in the twisted and abused registration and voting process now underway in Ohio this year from September 30 through October 6. It is not as if Ohio, like Florida, has not seen its share of voting challenges in past elections, but it appears that they are out to outdo their past reputation to create a voting result that is not legit or reflective of the state’s residents.

1. A person can register to vote through October 6th, even without identification. You simply need to state that you are a citzen of the United States, will be 18 on or before the election date, a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days by election date, are not incarerated for a felony, not delcared incompetent for voting purposes, or have not been permanently disenfranchised for violations of the election laws. Although a valid Ohio driver’s license is requested for identification, one is not required. If not available, the last four digits of your social security number is requested, but not required. Thereafter, nothing is required but your signature (Voter Registration Instructions, Ohio Revised Code Section 3503.28 and Voter Registration Form).
2. Once you’ve registered, “Any qualified Ohio voter may request and vote an absentee ballot without stating a reason.” Thus, while still at the board of elections office, as an absentee voter (no reason required) you then “request, receive and vote your ballot” (Ohio Elections & Ballot Issues: Absentee Voting)
3. “Voters who do not have….identification, will still be able to vote by signing an affirmation swearing to the voter’s identity under penalty of election falsification and by casting a provisional ballot.” (Voter Registration Instructions, Ohio Revised Code Section 3503.28).

Buried in today’s news is report in New York Post saying Barack Obama urged Iraqi officials to delay agreements with the U.S. until after the election. Amir Taheri writes:

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

“He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.

Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops – and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its “state of weakness and political confusion.”

This is not necessarily new information, nor should it be a surprise. Throughout the day, though, the Obama nutroots dismiss this as “horribly misrepresenting the facts”, “NY Post article – an unreliable source”, and ‘Reagan did it, why not Obama, too?’

Since Obama’s coronation and McCain’s bold selection of Governor Sarah Palin as his VP choice we’ve seen worse and more blatant misogynism than ever thrown at Clinton during the primary. Obama’s cult following, nutroots gangs, and media have savaged Palin and her family with derogatory, sexist, and vicious rants that have no place in any public or private conversation, much less as part of the political election debate. Throughout this orgy of hate not one word from Clinton. Not once did she voice protest or urge calm. She sat this out.

Barack Obama lied on April 16, 2008 about his 20 year relationship with terrorist William Ayers. He continued this lie again the next day on his campaign Web site’s Fact Check, again on April 27 on Fox News, again through John Kerry on TruthFightsBack, and again on his campaign Website’s Fight the Smears at the end of August. While Obama would have us believe that William Ayers is just a guy who lives in his neighborhood, the overwhelming evidence suggests otherwise.
