Agree or disagree with Palin as a standard bearer, we should seek to stop this kind of destruction ASAP. I think there are legal changes that should be made to encourage this kind of behavior to go away.

You are right that the Palin/Jindal/Sanford/fill in the Presidential candidate that you like discussion is not productive right now. ALL are capable of expressing the conservative message–the more the merrier. What I want to know is who is going to run against Evan Bayh for Indiana Senator in 2010 (and dozens of other races) and what tactics do we use to get them elected.

Achance doesn’t like Palin and it appears he has his reasons and he has listed them more than once. Others like her a lot and appear to have their reasons, too, and have listed their reasons more than once.

Reagan was a Democrat before he became the conservative standard. Everybody is entitled to be human. Palin is human. We are not Democrats to place our politicians on pedestals reaching into the stratosphere. Instead, we expect them to screw up because they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

She was inexperienced as governor when tapped for VP, although what she had done record-wise seemed impressive. The behind the scenes stuff is what Achance knows and it has colored his picture of much of the rest of the country’s conservative hope.

Obsessing over Palin or any other potential candidate at this point is a futile endeavor. We have several possibilities up and coming in the GOP. I’m not wedded to any particular person at the moment. Why not focus on what they’re doing now and how those doings play out instead of wrangling over every little perceived misstep?

Just a month ago, people were talking about how bad Jindal came off in response to Obama’s first press conference. Last night, there was a second look at Jindal and he was very impressive indeed.

Guess what? They’re all human.

Can’t we, please, stop wrangling over whether Palin is a Goddess or a Lilith? Right now, we need to focus on the empty suit of a president we have, not one we want for 2012 considering it’s a long way off yet.

Let’s take care of now and when the time is right, we’ll get the candidate we need or deserve… or both, if we’re lucky. We have to deserve good conservative leaders as much they have to deserve the role of good conservative leader.

In politics, you dance with who brung you. She is the black widow of Alaska politics who has built her career on the dead bodies of everybody who ever helped her. You guys all like her and I was really hoping she and McCain would win because I’d much rather she be in DC than here.
