I don't see anything above a C in ten questions on any category from Prez, Congress, or Republican Leadersdhip except for a few states Congress and the media get bs across the board!

And my guess is…not many Conservatives have voted…it’s CNN after all!

incredible

When the highest grade on the map is a C-, the obvious thing to say to President Obama is, “You’re going about this the wrong way.”

Furthermore, California’s breakdown (Cali-freaking-fornia!) looked like this:

Healthcare reform: yer doin’ it wrong.

Don't worry.

The poll runs until Thursday. I’m sure they’ll have plenty of time for the Obamabots to skew the results. That’s three whole days, man.

Good point.

It looks like the poll just opened, and CNN isn’t showing voter totals, so we don’t really know what those numbers mean.

It will still be interesting to see the final results on Thursday.

Come Thursday

That’s Al Franken’s Minnesota up there with 50% of the population giving him an F. Maybe people believe senior care decisions should be between you and your doctor not your doctor and and a government dweeb, and then them telling you what you should do.

O man! And it looks like just as was the case with W,

the good news for Obama is that he is polling better than Congress: D’s straight across the board.

Odd thing about this poll...

Aaron Gardner (Diary) Monday, August 3rd at 1:59PM EST (link)

There is a question about the Republican leadership…but not the Democratic Leadership. With that in mind I think CNN is trying to push the idea that the Republicans are still in control. I would bet that the peoples anger is not truly with the Republican minority, which is statistically incapable of stopping any piece of legislation.

So the only conclusion I can come to is that the people are really disappointed with Pelosi and Reid and somehow, thanks to partisan hacks such as CNN, are infact Republicans. If that is the case I think Q8 is accurate.

heh...good point....but CNN wouldn't set up questions to favor Dems over Repubs...would they?

I had to think about that question for a bit....

I’d give the house leadership an A, but Senate leadership somewhat less. Unfortunately I had to give a combined grade and entered B+.

Right.

And that if it were anywhere near 72%, it would probably take up quite a bit more than 50% of the pie chart. :)

“Never let a serious crisis go to waste,” Rahm Emanuel remarked last fall. But in a crisis, all the public tends to care about are jobs and economic growth. It’s not the ideal time to pass costly social legislation that promises to reap dividends only in the long term, if at all.

That’s why Franklin Roosevelt waited until 1935, when the Great Depression seemed to be waning, to push Social Security through Congress. It’s why Lyndon Johnson established Medicare at the peak of the long post-World War II expansion. And it’s why Massachusetts’s health care plan and California’s cap on greenhouse-gas emissions both passed at the height of the recent boom, rather than the bottom.

Obama is still broadly popular, and the public is still broadly sympathetic to his administration’s agenda. But the money has to come from somewhere. You can’t have a bold new liberal era without the growth to pay for it.

The president wants to govern America like a blue state. But for that to work, he’ll need the nation’s economy to start performing more like Texas.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
