My sister called earlier this evening and asked me of Senator McCain’s chances. Well, he has to win Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Oho… she interrupted me with a giggle, but I stipulated that he can do this.
“And he has to win Pennsylvania, so you and [brother-in-law] must vote tomorrow.”
They will.
My wife and I drove to the mall today, listening to Fox News Channel on XM, and Senator McCain was nearing the end of his speech. We had to stay to hear the end, which was:

I’m going to fight to make sure every American has every reason to thank God, as I thank Him: that I’m an American, a proud citizen of the greatest country on earth, and with hard work, strong faith and a little courage, great things are always within our reach. Wherever you are, vote! Sure, we will disappoint the French. I say that because I saw a Frenchman on BBC America speaking of the “global euphoria” when Obama wins tomorrow. Global euphoria is fine, but that is not why we elect a President of the United States. We elect a President to lead us in the fight for what this country is. Freedom. Security. The right to use our abilities to prosper.

McCain’s acceptance speech posted and stuck to the top of the site somehow? I found that closing to be one of the few truly stirring and motivational moments of this campaign (does anyone even remember anything Obama said in his?).

The Messiah
ArtbyRuth Monday, November 3rd at 11:26PM EST (link)What did it for my husband (who was undecided until October) was how Louis Farrakhan called Obama The Messiah…a very important and precious name for us Christians…and Barak Obama was silent about it.
Yet he claims to be a Christian.
So, that tells us that this man is willing to stand by while a prominent man labels him The Messiah…not “a messiah”…but THE MESSIAH- making him equal to Jesus Christ- and not denounce it or call it blasphemy.
Sad times indeed.
We prayed tonight for this election and God’s mercy on this country. I pray He hears the cries of His people and saves us yet again…from ourselves.
