The rulles don’t apply to libs, nor with a Latina woman, none will apply. I think she will get confirmed, which is wrong, but it will happen. If there is a tax problem that might finally get her into trouble. We cannot have supreme court judges that do not pay taxes, Oh my, we do have Geither, he doesn’t know how to use Turbo tax or pay his taxes, but we had to have him, he was the only one that could solve this problem.

Is it solved yet? Did I miss it?

that this blatantly Racist, Sexist, Class-ist, etc…. will be so PATHETIC that it might actually shake the other Liberal Justices to their core and give them the awakening long overdue them. It’s village idiot. What would they do for entertainment.

It’s been said before, but I will say it again. If any white guy had said what she said, that person would not be a judge anywhere. It is only because of her race that she is not summarily dismissed.

Does anyone in good conscious think this is what we need on the Supreme Court? For what reason? Reverse racism rulings?

Judge Sotomayor believes that it is unfair, as the umpire, to call a third strike against a batter who has already suffered enough during the game by striking out three times previously. She would rather feel empathy for the batter, (especially if he were a member of a preferred racial minority!) and call the strike a ball, and allow the batter to “achieve” reaching base safely. But what impact does this have on the pitcher? And what if the pitcher is also a minority? Is it not possible that be making a call of the pitch based on empathy, and the richness of the batter’s and umpire’s experience, that the entire outcome of the game could be changed unfairly? Shouldn’t the umpire call the strike correctly, irrespective of the previous success of the batter, umpire, pitcher, or anyone else? isn’t the job of the umpire to call the balls and strikes as they are, not as they think makes the game “more fair”? And is there someone in the GOP that can articulate this in a friendly, straight-forward, and non-accusatorial manner when questioning the nominee? Temperment is another ground to press upon, but basic fairness will cut through the clouds that may arise from other’s opinions on temperment.
