Your political advisors are probably telling you something like “It is very close, just need to knock Obama off-stride and change the topic of discussion and McCain will win”

But I am here to tell you that you will not with that strategy.

I remember the 1988 race and meeting one of Bush’s political advisors (Chair of a State Campaign) His attitude was ‘Bush will win the state I’m responsible for so I won’t tell him that things are not going well’–even though he knew they needed to “think outside the box”

Well, John it is time to think outside the box. During WWII our nation built Freedom Ships. These ships were designed to be cheaply and QUICKLY made. They were not meant to be of lasting value (or very sea-worthy) but they would overwhelm the Germans by their shear numbers.

From Palin’s debate, I know you know enegy independence is important to us, but now you have to create a plan that will excite and motivate Americans that someone finally gets it. I believe Americans would rally around the idea of quickly (5 years) developing energy independence through mass conversion of trucks to natural gas, electric, hybrid, etc. I would define energy independence as North American Energy independence. Since over 30% of our imports come from Canada and Mexico, we could achieve effective energy independence much more quickly that your current 2025 target. So a 30% reduction would mean at the same pace you could reach target in 12 years instead of 17 so getting it done a little more than twice as fast seems reasonable IF we mobilize our country like we did for the Freedom Ships.

Of course, who knows if his billionaires are not manipulating that too ?

In either case, some kind of fire would be nice!

The best thing he could do is sit down and shut up for one more month…get his handlers off Sarah’s back and maybe he can win!

John started slipping (and may end up losing) because he could not stand on conservative principles.

It isn’t too late. Maybe the first 3-page long bill might be tolerable for conservatives. Surely this pork-stuffed one is not.

He needs to come out against this monstrosity. 100%. Force the Dems to pass this on a partyline vote.

Then spend the last few weeks of the campaign pointing out to the American people that the bailout bill that was passed BY DEMOCRATS is exactly “business as usual” in Washington DC: huge spending, stuffed with earmarks and pork, rewarding special interests.

The moonbats on the left are too far gone; but the middle, average American, is pissed off at the cavalier way Congress is throwing their money around.

Return to Reaganite principles, and John will have a chance.

Drop the pitiful unrequited love that is your ‘bipartisanship’ shtick. To paraphrase a popular author, “Dems just aren’t that into you”.

Stand up, John. Stand up and fight.

Because you can’t put Country First if you lose. You can only watch the Dems put Power First.

Issues versus issues?

I think this campaign, often times, is waiting on US to make a move…en masse. I grew up with the KOS kids, in hostile territory, which led me to you…Thank God-Redstate. You know what they do right now which is effective? They recall the Republicans banging at the doors in Fla. making sure the votes were counting accurately and they percieved it as hired thugs and violence. That’s what they do today openly. They pee on McCain signs, the bum rush Fox newscasters while they get their morning paper, they are the modern day 527 ‘so [the Almighty] of their party can easily disavow.

Now that we know what we’re dealing with, let’s get fired up and deal with it.

But if President Obama makes you feel better, have at it.

Sad, but true. I never thought there were this many moonbats in America.
