It’s a good thing I believe in the power of prayer or I would be pretty hopeless right about now.

I see the white guilt stuff first hand. I work for a small public 4 year university in southwest Wisconsin. Universities are ground zero of this kind of malignant indoctrination. The ideology taught is that if you are white, no matter what you do, you will always be a racist. The most you can hope for is to catch yourself in the act and control it as best you can. People of color (that’s the favored term of the day) cannot be racist. Also any inequity (say, for example, in retention rates or graduation rates) is the fault of racism, since after all, whites are the majority.

You’d be shocked at some of the “equity” materials that I’ve been handed at all sorts of committee meetings.

At the end of the day, though, I think a fellow like Bill Cosby has got it right. The devastation in the black community is caused by the decimation of the family.

Interestingly, the footage available at liveactionfilms.org is currently banned from youtube (no bias there!).

Now that I’m write this, I may just whip up an addendum to this post, pointing folks to the video available at liveactionfilms.org. Everyone that sees it has good cause to turn to President Obama and ask, “How can you support Planned Parenthood?”

Black women represent only 12 percent of the population in the United States, but they are responsible for the majority of abortions. Each day, 1,452 abortions are performed on black women.

The report also stated that black women are three times more likely to have abortions than white women, and Hispanic women are 2.5 times more likely.

Blacks do, indeed, have much higher rates of abortions than whites or other minority groups. In 2000, while blacks made up 17 percent of live births, they made up more than twice that share of abortions (36 percent). If those aborted children had been born, the number of blacks born would have been slightly over 50 percent greater than it was.

The comparison with whites and other minorities is striking. Whites made up 78 percent of live births, but only 57 percent of abortions. Non-black minorities had 7 percent of live births and 5 percent of abortions. If the aborted children had been born for either group, the percentage increase in the number of children born to these groups would have been less than that for blacks: 16 and 32 percent, respectively.

Data from 1973 on indicate that black women’s share of abortions has consistently been at least twice their share of live births.
