OBAMA TRYING TO PLACATE JEWS

Barack Obama wants Jewish voters to overlook three years of  snubs, insults and treating Israel as our enemy rather than loyal friend and ally. We should forget that when Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, first visited the White House he was secretly ushered in via a back door. There were no cameras, no press and no usual public handshake. When Palestinian representatives visited, it was public, photographed and the handshake televised world-wide.
He wants us to ignore his foreign policy recommendation that Israel return to 1967 borders and offer unilateral concessions to those who refuse to recognize the country  exists. While this decision pleased Holocaust denier Mahmoud Ahmadinajad,  Israel’s Prime Minister said Obama’s proposal would make the small nation “indefensible”.
It would deny world-wide Jews access to their holiest site, the Western Wall of Jerusalem. It would reward the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas and require return of the Golan Heights to Syria, a state sponsor of terrorism.
Obama’s foreign policy decision encouraged anti-Semitic fervor world-wide and, especially, among Arab countries. It was also evident within the United States by Occupy Wall Street demonstrators who expressed their anti-Semitism in statements and signs blaming “Judeo-Capitalists” and “Zionist Jews” for America’s present economic plight. Ironically, the President expressed support for the demonstrators and ignored their expressions of bigotry. For him to now go around the country promoting a strong record of support for Israel in order to solidify Jewish support is the height of chutzpah.

And liberal jews will buy it

theobnoxiousamerican (Diary) Wednesday, December 7th at 1:06PM EST (link)

As a Jew, I am disgusted by my fellow tribe that would actually vote for this guy. But they will for two reasons:

– In liberal bubbles like NYC, where most Jews live, it’s simply too foreign for most Jews to break with the pack and vote GOP. I’m one of the few, so I know

– Jewish women are very pro-choice, because (and I speak as someone who grew up in NYC) New Yorkers are brainwashed to only hear the women’s choice point of view. And really, when the argument is framed as one of choice, with no dissenting view (anti-choice?), why would we expect people to vote differently.

It was only until I met an avid pro-lifer, who was a devout christian. He was clearly not anti-choice, but genuinely worried about the fact that babies were being murdered. Somehow, the right has really failed to convey this view with a sincerity that actually cuts through the nonsense.

Trust me, he will get the jewish vote, but not this one.

actually, it's the size of the majority which matters and Obama will have a smaller majority this time among Jewish voters

If the Jewish Republican vote approaches the high 20s or 30%, Obama can kiss Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania goodby.

My point about how Jewish women view abortion is actually true for most moderates, and is a major reason why many centrists vote left – they really see pro-life as a fascist tool for female subjugation.

It is SO important that in 2012 we do not make social conservative issues, such as abortion, a centerpiece. If we do, we scare off these fools in the center, and Obama wins. It’s just that simple.

bad news for obummer, its not going to work

unless the republicans nominate some anti semitic nutjob like ron paul. fortunately there is no chance of that happening.

i really believe obama will not do as well as people think with two demographics. seniors and jewish people.

yes, i realize that some liberal jews would still vote for him even if he hung a flag with the crescent moon and a star in his office underneath a picture of adolph hitler. but i have a feeling he will poll about 10-15 points lower with jews than most people think.

My guess – 60% of Jews will vote Obama in 2012.

Obama will ose New York if the GOP nominates someone trustworthy

lizzie Wednesday, December 7th at 2:18PM EST (link)

just like 1980 and 1984.

no one will ever know how many Jews voted for Obama in 2008 because exit polls are only as reliable as those agreeing to be polled.

I do not now a single Jew who voted for Obama in 2008. The liberals only voted down-ticket.

losing my typing abilities while listening to Newt on C-Span 3

Obama will LOSE New York.

previously, I meant country CLUB GOP

Obama cannot read a map, something he has in common

lizzie Wednesday, December 7th at 2:14PM EST (link)

with most Americans, like all the GOP voters who have yet to realize thatthe 1,200 mile border between Texas and Mexico is a BIG River, the Rio Grande.

longtimeconservation: The issue that has most Jewish voters incensed is Obama making a public diplomatic rift with PM Netanyahu over building permits for apartments in Ramat Shlomo (March 2010) and Gilo (recently).
Both neighborhoods of Jerusalem were built on rocky hillsides occupied by arab goats before 1967. These always vacant hillsides just happen to be east of the 1949 armistice line, but, if you can read a map, are both west of the Western Wall.

Contrary to the stereotype that most New York Jews are liberals, that is just not true. I argue this enough elsewhere, so why bother here.

Chutzpah is when the GOP thinks Jews are single-issue voters.

As for abortion? If the GOP would stop making it into their single issue, America would not be in the greatest divide since slavery.

The history of the 20th century GOP was not Jew-friendly. From the Northern Klan of 1915-2015 to the country clup GOP I encountered through my adult life since 1970, it is not so simple.

exiting – Newt is speaking on C-Span3 at the RJC coalition. Gov. Perry up next.

I have to disagree

theobnoxiousamerican (Diary) Wednesday, December 7th at 6:15PM EST (link)

Virtually all Jews, 40 and under living in NYC are liberals. Plain and simple. To the point where I really have to be careful about talking politics or I’ll get into trouble.

Plenty of older Jews too are liberal. There is a type of old school NYC Jew, such as myself, that tends not to be liberal. We’re the tough kind of jew, the non-Sienfeldian types, that feed on strenght, not weakness.

However, a shocking number of old Jews are liberal too. Go down to Miami and talk to some of these old Jews. You can be sure they too will vote Obama, just like they did in 2008. Because they are stupid.

we disagree

lizzie Wednesday, December 7th at 9:45PM EST (link)

I am from Miami, and 59, and lived in Manhattan for 14 years as an adult.
Like I wrote, every liberal tells me they only voted down-ticket. Everyone else I know voted McCain. NYS Board of Elections deliberately reported actual votes by county, not by congressional district. There were threats of “blood on the streets” in Brooklyn if Obama lost, directed at several Jewish communities. The NYT had published detailed maps by ED after the 2008 primary, so I knew where the Hillary and Huckabee voters lived. Assume others can read maps like that.
It was actually scary, especially in Brooklyn. No one published the map by ED after the Nov general election.

McCain won 51% of both Rockland and Nassau Counties.
without any campaigning.

Hard for me to vote GOP because deficits DO matter and I thought the Dems had finally learned that.
In March, one friend had said “Farrakhan” and that was enough to make me wary. By May, 2008, I knew the truth about Obama.

enough.

New York also has 49% Catholics and 19% Evangelicals, including a lot of Hispanic Evangelicals in The Bronx. The GOP has to deal with their own flawed ideas.

I sure hope you're right

theobnoxiousamerican (Diary) Wednesday, December 7th at 11:53PM EST (link)

But I certainly won’t hold my breath.

View this tact{of Barry's} as a simple intelligence test

funwithknives Wednesday, December 7th at 2:27PM EST (link)

1) are you going to just get in line and groupthink your way out of your social responsibility? {if so, you failed this one}

2) Have you, as a thinking member of The Chosen, actually listened t Obama and not just viewed the peaks instead of the whole {Mountain} range of what he says? Is he speaking to your religion’s betterment, given all historical happenings, since 1947? {Hardly!!}

If you DO vote for Barry , what Will you say ,4 years hence? {“Oy-Gevalt”, would just might do it}

Fun

theobnoxiousamerican (Diary) Wednesday, December 7th at 6:07PM EST (link)

No Jew voting for Obama is thinking about 2. All jews I know (most) voted Obama because they are liberals first, and jews second.

I’m an American. I’m also Jewish, and it’s obvious from both perspectives that Obama was the wrong choice in 2008. Can’t explain the actions of my brethren.
