Tim Tebow Should Terrify Moral Relativists

Whether you love him or hate him, Denver Broncos phenom quarterback Tim Tebow is a force to be reckoned with.

Regardless of how one views Tebow’s playing style—whether or not it is amenable to one’s tastes or preferences—they should reconcile his sportsmanship with his righteous character.

It is apparent that the sensational (and equally accomplished) 24-year-old football star faces unmitigated scrutiny from the media.

What exactly has he perpetrated that beckons their attention, one might ask?

He does not sag his pants, break the law, or immortalize superficiality like the delinquents of MTV’s Jersey Shore.  Nor has he impregnated multiple girls or faced any domestic violence charges. Furthermore, he has not burned American flags, denounced capitalism, or defecated in public like his unhinged “Occupy Wall Street” cohorts.

If Tebow is a positive influence, then why is he hated by many?

The answer: he is a Good Samaritan and equally God-fearing guy—qualities that are loathed and admonished in a culture defined by Cultural Marxism.

USA Today’s Larry Touton writes, “He is clean-cut, articulate, humble, gracious in victory, hard-working, and, if that weren’t enough, he’s a humanitarian. No, not one of those “humanitarians” who does his giving in the public eye, but a humanitarian who gives quietly in the orphanages of the Philippines.”

He further expounds on anti-Tebowites: “Their dislike for Tim Tebow is not, as they would have us believe, about his throwing motion or his completion percentage; it’s all about his open professions of faith and his goody-two shoes image. When it comes right down to it, we don’t want heroes who are truly good. We want them to fail the occasional drug test or start a bar fight from time to time. It makes us feel better about ourselves.”

As a result, disdain for Tebow is best attributed to his conservative upbringing and views.

Former Soviet satellites, republics still pay homage to Ronald Reagan

During his time as President of the United States, Ronald Reagan became a leading anti-Communist champion alongside Great Britain’s Lady Thatcher and Pope John Paul II. He famously described the former Soviet Union as “the Evil Empire,” inspiring individuals in that troubled country to seek an alternative to Marxist-Leninism.

It is undeniable that he was a champion for freedom here and aboard.

People from all walks of life, political persuasions, and dispositions revered Reagan as a man. More importantly, people around the world continue to embrace this conservative stalwart’s message.

2011 marks 22 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, 20 years of Baltic independence, and, perhaps not coincidentally, the centennial of Ronald Reagan’s birth. Intriguingly, President Reagan has been celebrated for his promotion of democracy in countries previously occupied or impacted by the former Soviet Union while his contributions have been steadfastly ignored in our own media.

Last week in Warsaw and Tbilisi, Poland and Georgia unveiled new statues of President Reagan.

Anti-Communist leader Lech Walesa—who led the Polish Solidarity movement—emphasized the importance of Reagan’s legacy in Poland.

“I wonder whether today’s Poland, Europe and world could look the same without President Reagan,” Walesa said. “As a participant in those events, I must say that it’s inconceivable.”

Walesa also remarked on the Soviet Union’s impact on Poland.

He said, “In Poland, we had more than 200,000 Soviet soldiers. Across Europe, there were more than a million, as well as nuclear weapons. Major changes without a nuclear conflict seemed unlikely.”

Tbilisi, Georgia, also welcomed a Reagan statue last Wednesday.  The Associated Press writes about this momentous occasion below:

Mikhail Saakashvili, whose government has for years had tense relations with Russia, also lambasted Moscow’s attempts to “restore” the Soviet Union by creating an economic bloc with other ex-Soviet nations.

He said Wednesday that the bronze statue that depicts Reagan sitting on a bench “deserves a place in the heart of Tbilisi, the heart of Georgia.”

The Baltic Republics—particularly my ancestral homeland, Lithuania—will be paying their respects to Reagan in the near future. Plans to build a namesake research center and to rename a Lithuanian airport are currently underway.

In September, Congressman David Dreier (R-CA) met with Reagan Foundation Director John Heubusch and Lithuanian Seimas Speaker Irena Degutiene to discuss the possibility of building a Reagan center in Vilnius, Lithuania.

“The establishment of such a centre in Vilnius would monumentalize President Reagan’s ideas and political achievements and guarantee their continuation in Eastern Europe. Probably, there is not better way to commemorate the life and work of the President than this,” said Degutiene.

On November 9, 2011, Associated Press reported that a Lithuanian parliamentary commission unveiled plans to rename Siauliai International Airport after President Reagan.

“(It) would be Lithuania’s act of gratitude to America, which was then represented by President Ronald Reagan, for its fight against the Soviet empire of evil and especially for its support for enslaved nations,” said committee chairman Emanuelis Zingeris.

“America and Ronald Reagan had an undeniable influence on strengthening democracy in Europe,” he added.

Reagan’s message resonated with Lithuanians, Poles, Georgians, and other peoples afflicted by communism behind the Iron Curtain. He provided them reassurance that, one day, they would be free and permitted to live without fear like their American cohorts.

My parents fondly remember Reagan and were greatly inspired by the President to immigrate to the United States in 1985.

While living in Lithuania, they were subjugated to harsh treatment by the Soviet regime. My father confronted a virulent anti-Semitism, while my mom faced religious persecution as a Catholic. In general, if one embraced anything American or dared to challenge the Politburo, they were subject to punishment and ostracism. Coming to America was the sole path to freedom and eternal happiness for my own family and for countless others.

Individuals in the Baltic Republics, Eastern Europe, and Slavic nations must continue to embrace freedom and look toward Reagan and all he represented. They cannot not lose sight of Russia and the danger it poses to these regions.

Former KGB officer and current Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin—who is uncontested in his bid for a third term as president—lamented the Soviet Union’s collapse and is eager to unify former Soviet satellites under a “Eurasian Union.” (This subject will be expounded further in a future column, and I will address these topics then.)

As a result, it is imperative to heed President Reagan’s stirring endorsement of freedom: “Freedom is one of the deepest and noblest aspirations of the human spirit.”

Freedom is sacred yet impermanent. We should never underestimate the rights and luxuries afforded to us here in the United States.

College Students Launch “The College Conservative” to Combat Political Correctness, Liberal Bias in Media

Contrary to popular belief, not all young people are “skulls full of mush.” Although many of our Generation Y peers bow to Obama and have been coerced by the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, there is a silent majority of young conservatives ready to take back this country through media and journalism.

Conservative college students from all across the nation have come together to write for TheCollegeConservative (TCC)–an online journal for conservative college students, by conservative college students. The website states, “TheCollegeConservative was launched in November 2011 with one mission: to give young conservative activists a platform to be heard across the nation.  Our organization is comprised of conservative college writers from across the United States who are tired of being pushed around by “the ninety-nine percent” and the world of academia.””

Founder and Editor-in-Chief Zachary Freeman writes more about the publication’s mission statement:

On this basis, TheCollegeConservative was created:

a.) we believe that young conservatives across the United States have something to say,

b.) young conservatives need a platform to be able to get their message out, and

c.) the faithful conservatives in America need to see that there is a generation of conservative leaders that is preparing to lead our great nation back to prosperity.

Zach (freeman_zachary) is also joined by three assistant editors: Sydney Phillips (@sydphillips), yours truly (@Gabby_Hoffman), and Kevin Reagan (@O_JoseCanYouSee). Nearly 20 student writers have signed on, and that number is expected to grow.

Be sure to like TheCollegeConservative Facebook page and follow it on Twitter @Blog_TCC.

If interested in applying to write for us, inquire here.

Neo-Imperialist Vladimir Putin “Brings Sexy Back” in Ad for Upcoming Russian Elections

Current Russian Prime Minister and former KGB agent Vladimir Putin–who intends to rule Russia once re-elected to the presidency–lives up to his reputation as Russia’s most infamous sex symbol.

Not surprisingly, his campaign for a third term in office is uncontested. As a man who laments the disintegration of the former USSR, Putin recently expressed interest in creating a Eurasian Union to unify former Soviet satellites with Russia…

As a result, it should come as no surprise that Putin desires to attract Russians to the ballot box next year. In Russian fashion, sex sells elections, and in the case of Putin, it is something he takes advantage of.

Watch the following Putin ad below:

Political correctness is perpetuating America’s demise

There is an all-pervading problem going unnoticed by many in the United States.  Although wasteful spending, big government policies, and corruption have exhausted and equally crippled our economy, this problem poses a greater threat to our livelihood. That problem is political correctness.

A recent Rasmussen Report poll revealed that 79 percent of Americans think political correctness is problematic in America.

What is political correctness, and who is responsible for it?

It is important to note that political correctness derives from Cultural Marxism. This connection is expounded below:

If we look at it analytically, if we look at it historically, we quickly find out exactly what it is. Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back not to the 1960s and the hippies and the peace movement, but back to World War I.

Bill Land of Accuracy in Academia attributes Cultural Marxism to the Frankfurt School in Germany.

In 1923, the Frankfurt School—best known as the Institute for Social Research—was established with the task of translating Marxist economic theory into Marxism cultural theory. When Nazis took control in Germany, members of the Frankfurt School relocated to the United States in 1933 and found their way into American universities.

Their work also gave rise to Critical Theory, which is “essentially destructive criticism of the main elements of Western culture, including Christianity, capitalism, authority, the family, patriarchy, hierarchy, morality, tradition, sexual restraint, loyalty, patriotism, nationalism, heredity, ethnocentrism, convention and conservatism.”

Additionally, one prominent Frankfurt School member—Herbert Marcuse—helped to champion Critical Theory so as to cripple free speech. Bill Lind also wrote, “Marcuse defines “liberating tolerance” as intolerance for anything coming from the Right and tolerance for anything coming from the Left.”

From these findings, it is important to note how political correctness pervades everyday life.

“Occupy Wall Street” to Young People: Shirk Hard Work and Bemoan Self-Reliance

“I do not know anyone who has gotten to the top without hard work. That is the recipe. It will not always get you to the top, but it will get you pretty near.”  — Margaret Thatcher

Historically, the United States has outlasted competing nations with her embrace of diligence, innovation, and competition.

Americans were held to a higher standard whilst ascending society’s ranks and reaching their highest potential. Given the endless opportunities, boundless freedoms, and innumerable resources available, individuals put their minds to work in order to create products and services that would add to the nation’s indomitable spirit.

Americans and naturalized citizens alike knew that hard work and self-reliance wrought “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Without these ideals, the Empire State Building, Golden Gate Bridge, and Hoover Dam, to name a few, would not be here today. Additionally, major companies and similar industries would not have come to fruition.

As of late, many young people have abandoned these tenets of hard work and self-reliance in exchange for handouts and instant gratification.

The following should be asked: Do young people still value hard work and self-reliance, as set forth by their predecessors?

Mostly pointedly, the rise of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement has emboldened disillusioned college students and graduates to demand unusual solutions to debt repayment and a poor job market.

Wall Street protester Image: Shankbone

While big governmental policies and crony capitalism wrought under both Democrats and Republicans are largely to blame for these economic failures, many young people are quick to blame capitalism.

Instead of associating with Marxists, socialists, anti-Semites, leftist college professors, sex offenders, hippies, and similar bad influences at these “Occupy Wall Street” events, these disaffected individuals should look elsewhere for solutions.

It is undeniable that this movement harbors sentiments that discourage, rather than encourage, young people from becoming productive members of society.

Jason Mattera’s Latest Ambush Target: Vice President Joe Biden (VIDEO)

Obama Zombies author and HUMAN EVENTS editor Jason Mattera schooled Vice President Joe Biden on his recent comments pertaining to rape and GOP opposition to Obama’s “jobs” bills.

Here’s more about the encounter from HUMAN EVENTS:

Vice President Joe Biden now says he didn’t make a reference to rape, and got testy with HUMAN EVENTS when we asked if he would like to retract his comments that the number of sexual assaults would increase if Republicans don’t sign on to Barack Obama’s latest “jobs” proposal.

“I didn’t use, no no no…Let’s get it straight, guy. Don’t screw around with me,” Biden lashed out at HUMAN EVENTS.  Then Biden confirmed that he indeed did talk about rape in terms of the President’s spending measure. “Murder will continue to rise, rape will continue to rise, all crimes will continue to rise,” if the Democrats agenda isn’t passed, he added.

My Findings at “Occupy San Diego” — Yes, They Are Misfits, Goons, and Idiots

Today, The Rick Amato Show ventured to “Occupy San Diego”. Rick, our producer Sutton, yours truly (executive assistant) and several of our friends encountered socialists, communists, anti-Semities, and frankly, stinky people.

Rick was asked to speak today after he criticized the “Occupy Wall Street” movement as one that harbors and equally emboldens “misfits, goons, and idiots.” He accepted their invitation to speak and here is what we discovered.

Below is Civic Plaza in downtown San Diego, where the “Occupy San Diego” event took place.

Of course, how could we escape the anti-Semites?

Don’t forget the eco-fanatics either!

In journalistic fashion, I’ve included videos from the event, ranging from Rick Amato’s Tea Party speech to select interviews with event goers.

This video highlights the purpose of “Occupy San Diego”:

Below is Rick Amato’s entire speech:

Additionally, we interviewed several ” Occupy San Diego” attendees.

The first guy does not understand the term “small government.” Instead, he maligns capitalism with fascist African governmental systems:

The second guy admits to being a self-hating capitalist below:

Remember, socialism and communism do make us equal–equal in poverty and misery.

My parents endured communism in the former USSR in the Baltic Republic of Lithuania. Fortunately, they escaped nearly 26 years ago and came here to California. In their former homeland, they had no freedom. Most pointedly, they were subjected to food rationing, religious intolerance (both Mom and Dad), institutionalized anti-Semitism (Dad), poverty, universal healthcare, and exorbitantly high taxes. To set the record straight: Communism reduces people to human debris.

In contrast, the United States is the freest place in the world. You can start a business, live without fear, freely practice religion, go to university, and make money. What other nation ensures this success and happiness?

These people need to stop scapegoating capitalism (and Jews). Instead, they should go after President Obama, Jeff Immelt, George Soros, and the crony capitalists in Wall Street–not capitalism itself. Unfortunately, “Occupy Wall Street” apologists are being exploited by leftists and have become their useful idiots. Time will tell if they will wake up and ingest some common sense.

Stay tuned for updates from San Diego and California.

Multiple-choice Mitt Romney: Conservative or political opportunist?

“Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice.” –Thomas Paine

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney is a formidable candidate.

He is poised, polished, and presentable. He boasts experience in the private and the public sector. He looks presidential and has the family and attitude to support the image. More importantly, he is determined to win the Republican nomination and become the next President of the United States.

If the party establishment had its way today, Mitt Romney would be the Republican Party nominee. The establishment’s choice—who unsuccessfully ran in the 2008 election cycle—feels entitled to the nomination this time around.

Much to Romney’s dismay, Tea Party activists and similar conservative voters will not select him to challenge President Obama in 2012.

Conservatives should look at Romney with hard skepticism and question his record. Although he claims to be conservative, his track record shows otherwise.

The question demands an answer: Is Romney a conservative of conscience, or a conservative of convenience?

Below are some of Romney’s notable flip-flops and policy positions.

Is This the Real Mitt Romney? Must Watch Video!

The guys behind Bad Lip Reading have released a new video. This time, they’ve put the spotlight on Mitt Romney.

With phrases like, “I’m a gremlin, I’m leaving the party!” and “Yo mama can eat me,” viewers see a new side to Romney.

The question beckons: Is this the real Mitt Romney? You decide. In the meantime, get a good laugh out of this:
