Conservatism and Living Your Own Life

Hundreds and hundreds of comments posted to numerous diaries lately have occupied hours of my nights here at Redstate in regards to Social/Fiscal/Conservatism/GOProud/CPAC/Etc. I would read one comment and agree, then read someone’s rebuttal and agree again. I continue to pour over the words, searching for an answer, (where is Vassar when you need him?) but in frustration, I sit back and wonder if there is no answer simply because Conservatism might only be defined logically by the individual - strictly for that individual. After all, Individualism is a main ingredient of Conservatism. The American Individual who finds the strength within himself to care for his own, rear his own and defend his own freedom. We strive as individuals to come together for the Common Good, trying to meld our separate philosophies into one big happy melting pot. The odds are not there, so the disputes will carry on. Indefinitely.

Is there a check-list that will help define the Conservative to SocialCon to a FiscalCon to a Libertarian and so-on. Where is the check-list? Is it the same for a Catholic, a Protestant, a born-again? What about the Conservative who is an Atheist? Can there even be one? Who sets the rules?  Can a gambler be a Conservative? How about someone who voted for a Democrat in the sixties but swears that he was high that afternoon today? What about a law abiding Muslim-American family? Is it out of the question that they could believe in a limited Government and in our National Defense? Can a pro-choice man attend CPAC? Can a Pro-Life union worker get a ticket to the show?

Being the youngest of seven in an very Conservative Italian family, I would swear none to be stricter than my parents. I recall with great anguish the time I got caught smoking at age 16 and my mother made me eat a cigarette. That might not have been so bad, however she made me eat it – Lit. Strict is not even a big enough word. There are many stories of how Sicilian Mothers would hit their unruly children with big spoons. Well, in my house, you might see one of us with gravy stains on our backs because my Mother would actually pull the wooden spoon out of the hot gravy she was stirring and hit us with that, and then make us sit down and eat. (For the non-Italians, gravy is tomato sauce made with meat).

I give a little backdrop to make a point.
Catholic School – Second Grade – 1980. One child in the entire school was black. His name was Leonard. Leonard was my friend. I was Leonard’s only friend. Everyday. Except on the days when my Mom was a lunch mother. I remember vividly watching Leonard on those days sitting alone on the steps of the school at Recess with his yellow shirt and brown clip on tie. I turned my back on him out of fear of the Wrath of Dad. It was a false fear. Never once was I told not to play with a black child. Never once did I ever hear a slur against a black man in my home. It was a child’s stupid perception of the unknown that said, “You will eat a bar of soap tonight if you get caught playing with Leonard.” Lesson learned, as I have never forgotten him and I never shunned anyone out of fear of the unknown ever again.

Conservatives will stem from all walks of life and will define themselves as Conservatives based on their own belief system, the environment they grew up in and all the social interactions that they have engaged in. This is why we will all never see things the same way. If one is a homosexual and considers himself a Republican or a Liberal or a Conservative, then that is what he is. For first and foremost, he is a free American. He can join a group and become an activist with any party affiliation he likens himself to. If it turns out that he wants to be part of GOProud, then as a true conservative, I say, this is America and he has his every right to participate. And if he likens himself to the Conservative Movement, the Tea-Party, the GOP, then I say, move over and let him stand. If his positions stray and he is not loyal, he will be found out and cast aside. But until then, let the individual show their OWN colors and invite him in where he wants to be, where he should be and where he probably belongs.

The Democratic party has welcomed every soul they could get and has dominated the shift of a free America into a “way to close for comfort” distortion of what it is supposed to be. They open their arms to all facets of society in hopes of garnering their votes. America, at its heart, is right of center. And yet, because of the close-minded, those that want to embrace the values that we take for granted because we lived them all of our lives, are left on the little steps of the school, alone, wanting to join, but are all to often shunned by the fearful. And that is what it is. Fear of the Unknown. Punishable by the strict conservative who says, “You, stay away, and if you don’t, I will boycott the very gathering that I have been tirelessly building up for the passed five years”. This is why it makes no sense. To tear down that which is trying to uplift and build upon makes absolutely no sense. One’s views of their own loyalty to their own values is really all they need answer to. No man, no matter how brilliant or successful, has a right to judge what is in the heart of another. It may turn out that the ones you turn away now could have held the key you needed later.

It seems pretty clear that after the country woke up after a little taste of Obamanomics, many folks from all walks of life, all different classes and all different “upbringings’ will seek to identify somehow with the Conservative way of life. They may not be pure in the sense that we live and breathe it, but we must be open to allow them the chance to commit. Fear of the unknown can tear apart something that wants and needs to grow.

Revisiting an Inspiring VB Diary…We Need It Now.

Now that the primaries are long gone, these words are more important today than they were over a month ago:

You almost always have the right post at the right time. Penquin also has a good way of doing that also.

Now is the time for us all to unite and not fight with each other. It has been one big circle firing line lately around here and the right side of the Blogosphere. We all need to look at the big picture and not get caught up in the little things, after the primaries are over, and they can not come fast enough. We need to get behind the Republican candidate. Forget the squabbles, bite your tongue if you need to, but we need everyone on the same side of this battle.

The above quote was written by Black River Wolf on September 5th, responding to a most inspiring diary by the one and only Vassar Bushmills entitled, “When Time Stops…All Hands On Deck”.

Once in awhile the fire and inspiration of certain diaries and comments are read, they are felt and they are forgotten with the passage of time and life. Black River Wolf’s comment was as great then as it is now. The amount of squabbles, fighting, backstabbing, bad manners, sliding off track and simple retreating has never been more apparent here in the last couple of weeks. Let’s begin…

From where the sun now stands, there is one thing, and one thing only for the next sixty days… and that is getting every possible Republican elected to Congress. I didn’t say Conservative, although I wish it were so. I said Republican.

Classic Bushmills. Solid. To the point. No distractions, nothing to hide.

In all cases, the conservatives have to be the moving parties if there is to be any alliance with moderates. We must extend the hand of partnership. This is both an act of leadership as well as a signal of a promise we will keep, for conservatives do have a track record for keeping our word. We don’t backstab.

Look at Vassar go again! He leaves nothing to think twice about. Common sense. Standing tall and firm with his feet planted on the ground. “We don’t backstab”. Think about this when you’re typing frantically to post your comments to a Delaware race diary. Or when you feel the need to disparage any Republican running for a seat or currently seated for that matter. Remember, we may need that guy or gal in 2012.

Modifying Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment, if you don’t like the Republican in your district or state, please keep it low key and abstain from the high dudgeon and hyperbole of the teat fit, and please don’t enlist others.

Mr. Bushmills must own a crystal ball. He saw it. He shared it.  Did everyone understand it? I’m not sure but only time will tell.

Do not speak vicious of any Republican running in a district or state outside of your own. Finally and most importantly, put on that game face.

Vassar pulls no punches here. He does not assume your parents brought you up to keep your bad comments to yourself. I gotta hand it to him, the man know his stuff. With only 17 days left before the biggest election, one that will shape Children’s futures and the coming generations, maybe, just maybe, we can all heed Vassar’s words, take a deep breath and stop.

Carry the water and the day for the GOP and we will win.

His words speak for themselves there.

The grand finale… a great comment that was attached to Vassar’s diary by Penguin2…

If there is one thing we must take hold of, it is that idea. What we do now and until November requires everything we have, otherwise it has all been for naught.

Take the time, http://www.redstate.com/vassar/2010/09/05/when-time-stopsall-hands-on-deck/

Studying Vassar Bushmills

All through my twenties and thirties I referred to myself as a Conservative. I voted that way, therefore I was.  In my mind, an exceptionally patriotic Conservative.  In reality, it boiled down to just one day out of every 1460.  And then my forties came and I was mysteriously “introduced” to two very influential, “never to know and never to meet” men who will never know me or meet me or ever know their strong affect on a small town girl who up until 2 years ago thought life revolved around pretty high heel shoes, poker, The Kentucky Derby and Seinfeld. ( Well, maybe still poker and the Derby!)

These two men are Dr. Charles Krauthammer and Vassar Bushmills. What I will only say about Dr. Krauthammer is that when he speaks, no one around is allowed to make a sound.  Everyone knows, just shut up and listen. Period.

And then, there is a guy named Vassar Bushmills. He resides somewhere out in internet land. On any given day, he might look like Captain Kirk on the Starship Enterprise or on another, maybe a face like Charlton Heston. It just depends on what he wrote that day.

Vassar’s essays are lengthy. Chock full of statistics, personal stories, historical facts, future predictions, quotes, references, insights…etc…etc… I read every essay (in most cases, reread) and then I jot down my lesson notes of the day. The words I take away from the whole. My free education notes. I often try to figure out the man behind the typed words by remembering little tidbits he throws in about himself from time to time. Those I enjoy a great deal.  A bit of amusement that some would just glide on by but I smile when he reveals them. Unintentionally witty, however, trying to bring someone to life instead of the floating type of internet land.

Vassar hates kings.

He once drove across the middle of Oahu Hawaii. Who drives across Oahu? Who has the time or inclination to drive across Oahu? A pineapple expedition?

He spoke about a first visit to Ukraine in ’91. This means there was a second, possibly even a third. Whats in Ukraine that would lead someone there several times?

He quit being a Methodist because of a song. (I think)

He’s seen the way Great-Grandmothers in the Balkins teach children the basics of Church worship. Never once in my life had the thought occurred to me that there were indeed Great-grandmothers actually residing in the Balkins!

He couldn’t answer comments one week because he had to “see a man about a library”. A library? What man? Who sees men about libraries??

Vassar hitch-hiked from the Ohio River to Juarez Mexico. I want to know if this was a planned route or did he just somehow fall into it. Apparently he was pick up by the “long-shot traveller” taking the same route.

And then, of course, this statement.. “Underneath the hotel I always stayed at in Bulgaria…”. Always? Who goes to Bulgaria once, let alone numerous times to always stay in the same hotel on top of a Budda Bar with blaring music throughout the night?

He was a paper boy at age thirteen and wondered who was actually reading those papers that he delivered.

Okay, okay, I could go on and on with that, I shall stop and move on.  But my purpose was to let you know, that when you are learning from an unknown entity, the personal stuff that makes you smile makes the “teacher” become real and not just out somewhere in internet land.

From my notes of Vassar Bushmills…

On Immigration

The kind of Immigrant we want is 1) one who blesses the ground he walks on because it is free ground and 2) blesses the document and the men and women who made and kept that ground free.”

On Hope

“A man can choose hell or even Cleveland. It is the same with freedom and liberty. Religion and liberty both provide a way out only. Hope. But a way out that is dictated by free will. Not coercion.”

On Racism

“They hate you because of who you are.”  “They hate you for what you stand for”.  1) Don’t apologize. 2) Don’t defend. 3) Don’t retreat. 4) Don’t get angry.

On Restoring America

“We have to become a moral nation through the strength of our communities and our institutions, not the rigidity of our laws.

1) Religion a key component to public life again.

2) Reinstate American Exceptionalism as a part of the core curricula in K thru 12.

3) Fire 95% of the librarians.

4) Place God, George Washington, heroes and exceptionalism back on the bookshelves.

5) Throw out the teachers who teach junk sociology and science and the administrators who encourage them.

ON JUSTICE

“The loss of the rule of law in America will sever the spinal chord that connects it to “Justice”, and it will be “Law” as known in Europe. Justice, like all those rights laid out in the Constitution, in the end, comes from our Creator, so it can not be destroyed. But, like all those other rights, it can be banished once again… for another 2000 years, if need be.

A Few Bits of Cool Info That I Now Know

1) In the 23 years since Japan regained Civil control, only one foreigner had ever been acquitted in a Japanese Court.

2) The .38 revolver was standard apparel in the coal fields during the strip mine wars of the 1960′s.

3) Every June 2 at noon in Bulgaria, sirens go off and people stop and lower their heads in silent observation for approx. 20 martyred men whose likenesses grace many great meeting halls.

ON PRIVACY

“Get a landline. They’re inexpensive”.

ON PROTECTING THE CONSTITUTION

“Noting the absence of any mention of the reasons why the whole thing was put there in the first place. The Common Man and Liberty… The biggest problem we see with the American house today, as the greatest generation is passing into memory, is that with each succeeding generation there seems to be a declining number of people who even know the blueprints of the House the Constitution had in mind…much less how to build it and pass it on… They have to be taught and learned… Parent to child is best.”

ON INTELLECTUALISM

“For every truly inquiring intellectual there are ten who bask only in the glow of their own reflection”.

ON SCOTT BROWN

“For now we know we can STAMPEDE an election in ways the Dems and the Left can not.”

ON PROGRESSIVISM

“Progressivism is, and always has been (when considered logically) in direct opposition to the purposes of the Constitution, namely the freedom and liberty of the individual.”

TWO FOUR STAR QUOTES

1) “You put boots on the ground and candidates on the ballot.”

2) The more you know about Good in its simplest form, the easier it is to recognize evil in its most complex.

Of course, there are those times when I start reading a diary that says, “by Vassar Bushmills” and midway through will be a sentence that reads, “I try not to be long winded like my good friend Vassar. He could go on and on forever about a subject like this.”

I get confused and somewhat miffed.

And then I think… I like this guy… whoever he is… and whatever he looks like… too.

Mushrooms and Immigration

Kennett Square, Pennsylvania is known as the “Mushroom Capital of the World”.

In this small town, located about 30 miles outside of Philadelphia, mushroom growing has evolved over the past 100 years into a multi-million dollar industry. Every year, the residents of Chester County enjoy the Annual Mushroom Festival that draws thousands of people from all over the state. The output of mushrooms from here accounts for nearly half of the nations total production.

The industry was originally started by Pennsylvania Quakers on small farms. As operations blossomed in the 20′s, Italian immigrants began to work the fields. Over time, these Italian immigrants learned the business, worked hard and struggled and eventually started farms of their own.

In the 30′s and 40′s, both White and African-American locals became employed on the new farms owned by the Italians. As the 50′s rolled around and opportunities became richer for the workforce, they lost their workers and began to recruit poor southern whites and blacks to do the hard and dirty work. Once again, opportunities led these workers to move on and Puerto Ricans took over the majority of the work well into the 70′s. They came and worked because Chester County presented an opportunity for good pay and sustained work.

In the late 70′s, poorer Mexican workers began to replace the Puerto Rican workforce. These Mexican laborers would live in “mushroom camps”. Needless to say, the living conditions for these men were horrible. These camps existed well into the early 80′s. The men stayed for about 9 months to work and then returned back to their homeland with the money they earned for their families. As the years rolled on, improvements to the camps were required by law, some complied, others just shut down. After The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, labor camps were becoming a thing of the past and by the 90′s, pretty much abolished. This Act led to many undocumented workers to establish legal status. They began to build their own homes and had their families join them here.

In 1986, President Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act and changed the Mushroom workers conditions considerably. This law granted amnesty to those illegal aliens who had lived in the U.S. since 1982. It also provided strict sanctions on employers for future hirings. At first, the Mexican workers were skeptical of the law, but afterwards they no longer lived in fear of deportation. They had their loved ones with them, etc. Since they were now legal and able to venture out and find different employment, they found even greater opportunities, forcing the pay for mushroom picking to raise for those willing to work. Actually, to work legally. The workers realized quickly that in America there could be prosperity for them. The average wage in Quadalajara is eight times less than picking mushrooms in Kennett Square.

What was once an isolated group of transient men, is now a permanent Mexican community in Kennett Square that now comprises of 28% of the population of this small quaint town. Their roots can be seen all along the roads throughout Kennett. They are kind people, hard-working and very American. They are proud of their status as legal residents and I know many of them. They would be all too happy to present their documentation to verify that they are legally American. They would not take offense to it. They worked hard for it, they became legal and they prospered here in Chester County. Just like the Italian immigrants who worked those very same fields and eventually became owners. America truly is the Land of Opportunity when laws are not broken but adhered to.

Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

The news comes so fast and furious these days that it is hard to keep up and even harder to get answers once the cycle turns to something new. Michael Jackson morphed into Tiger Woods and Ben Neilson’s bribe was blurred by the Scott Brown win. The escapade of Bernie Madoff was shut off once the cell door shut behind him. And on and on and on.

Old news today was once front page but something comes up that is even more intriguing and we forget or lose interest. Everyday seems to bring another crisis thrown at us by the Obama administration and that becomes the talk. For the day. Then we move on.

I’d like to revisit a few things that just seemed to disappear, unanswered, buried and forgotten. I am sure there are plenty more topics that should be on the list. These are just a few that come to mind.

1) On October 24, 2009, President Obama signed an Emergency Declaration for the H1N1 virus due to the “rapid increase in illness”. Did it disappear? Are people still dropping like flies? Exactly how rapid was that increase?

2) A year and a half after her discovery in a Boston slum, did Aunt Zituni ever get deported or was she moved into a room at The White House?

3) It was reported at some point about a year ago that Tony Resko showed a “willingness to disclose information to authorities”. Was a secret surgury performed to remove his voice box?

4) Is Acorn now off the hook for aiding the prostitution industry and are they still allowed to be involved with the Census while still recieving funding from the taxpayers amidst their internal investigation that they were allowed to perform on themselves. And did they find anything untoward about themselves? Did they report their own shady dealings to anyone?

5) After Obama warned people against “jumping to conclusions over the motives of the Fort Hood shooter” did they do everything they could to make him comfortable because he supposedly was paralyzed by the shooting that he recieved himself? Where is he? Is he talking? Is he alive?

6) Back in 1971, charges against the Black Panthers were dropped. Fast forward to present day, and again, The Black Panthers in Philly were “on trial” for voter intimidation. These charges were also dropped by some guy named Eric Holder. Did anyone ever find out what was going on in Eric’s mind that day? Any explanation at all?

7) Are the farmers in California still without water because of a smelt? Are they still standing in lines to recieve vegetables imported from China?

8) Is anyone ever gonna do something about tax evasion guru Charley Rengal?

Bueller? Bueller?

A Cold January Day

The year is 2012. The morning is blistery cold. The morale of the country is as beaten down as it could ever be. The people are using stamps to get free rides on Septa to make it to the steps of The Capitol. Hundreds of thousands of worn-out citizens, all races, all ages, rushing to get a glimpse of the festivities. Their eyes are wide and the happiness in the air is palpable. Those in uniform stand at attention, complete with respect and honest outward contentment in the days proceedings.

All the normal fanfare commences. On the television, the news pundits are busily looking for anything to latch onto, to turn or twist or find opposition to. They find none. Inwardly, but certainly not outwardly, they too have that excited feeling in the pit of their stomach, knowing that the fate of their Country will be taking a tremendous turn for the better. But they must remain silent. They find the “celebrity” faces in the crowd, Palin makes the news, as well as Gingrich and Romney. This is all they can do.

The military’s pride in this day can not be measured. The new Commander in Chief has already had their respect for decades and they have lived through four years in hope and determination to reclaim their America as the finest it was always meant to be. The citizens stand with their hands on their hearts as our Star Spangled Banner bellows through the speakers. The flags dance in the wind and a sense of calm and pride can be felt throughout the smiling crowds. America will finally regain its lost strength. Those who were told to take and to be led by the government now have a feeling of fire in their hearts. To get their life back, to have a chance to succeed on their own, to know the true purpose of their lives, to turn away from the hand-out and find America’s Promise on their own. They know it now.

Supreme Court Justice Scalia is called to the podium. The Bible is presented and a hand descends upon it. It is done. We now have a new Commander in Chief. We now have before us, a man who could possibly be one of the greatest Presidents in America’s history. He must unravel the horror of entitlements, he must restore the military’s morale, he must return America back to its former greatness, before it was ravaged in apologies and coverups. Just the sight of him demands respect, which means his tasks will come easy for him. Those who know his road, know that he is a dedicated man, and this dedication is to America. Only America. In the face of complete aggression towards his passion, he still stands strong for what he deems right. He stands strong and speaks from his heart in regards to the security and progression of America. He does not faulter, ever, in his conservative approach to all things foriegn and domestic. He believes it and lives it.

This man, known to all and hated by many for unrealistic reasons, gives hope that this fantasy January day will be destined to actually happen. This man can be anyone you wish it to be. And who it is, to you, you must stand strong with him and do all you can, starting today, to see it happen. This man, to me, is Vice President Dick Cheney. There is no one else that fits this bill as well as he. He is the one.

Glenn Beck Book Signing Last Night

Exton, Pennsylvania.

Driving down Rt. 100 at 5:00 last night was not driving at all. It was quite a crawl to my destination, Barnes and Noble at Main Street. There is usually a bit of rush hour traffic in this particular area, but this was an entirely different story. Possibly an accident up ahead and out of sight. After 25 minutes, I finally made the entrance, no accidents in sight, however, a stream of people snaking through the huge complex and cars parked all over the place identified the source of the traffic…Glenn Beck.

Happy to know that my sister was already in line, I walked the length of the snake and saw a mile of smiling happy people, clutching their hardbacks with Glenn’s goofy face, one after the other, 1000? 2000? 3000? I found my sister, thankfully,  pretty far up in the line, in front of a bustling pizza shop. As I glared in, the workers behind the counter were frantically serving slices, all smiling and chatting, and the register was ringing.

We inched up in line, strangers in front and behind, talking together as if we’ve known each other for years. Cameras flashing as the big Glenn Beck bus turned the corner and cheers and waving stretched down the long line. Just across the street, a lone protester held a silly sign. One. Just one. From my vantage point, there were Senior Citizens, business men, housewives, young college students. All smiling. Finally out of the cold, the store was packed, there was a long line at the coffee bar, long lines at the main register and of course the long line for Beck himself. There were workers running around, security guards, janitors, all busy, all smiling. My awareness of all that was going on around me kept intensifying and it was beginning to feel good. Really good.

My camera phone, of course, decided that it just didn’t want to play today just as I approached Glenn. But I shook his hand and he giggled as he quickly signed my book. I tried the camera again, to no avail, and whisked myself out of the store. My sister suggested dinner so we walked to the nearest resturaunt…packed. Another…packed, 1/2 hour wait. We drove out of the complex about 3 miles away…packed. We found a seat at the bar and ordered. I asked the waitress if this place was always like this on a Thursday night. Smiling, she said that she hadn’t seen the place lit up like this in months. Her excitement conveyed to me that all she wanted to do was get some time away to count up her tips. As I surveyed the pretty resturaunt, I became fixated on the smiles. Wall to wall. I had not seen a night like this in a very long time, bustling, registers, packed places, smiles, talking to strangers, feeling like the “good ole’ days” which really wasn’t too long ago. Capitalism at its finest. From the security guards, to the waitresses, the janitors, retail small business owners, if for just that night, Glenn Beck brought all of us back to a real great time in our lives when we didn’t worry, we lived. I saw people who were smiling because they were working, making their own money, conversing with new friends who share common thoughts. For me, it was like taking a gulp of ice cold water after a 4 hour boat ride. It felt that good. So, thanks Glenn, thank you for so much more than just your commentary everyday, thank you for letting me feel that excitement of American life again.

Rally around Dick Cheney’s Request

This is the first diary I have written in quite a long time.

I hope that most had the opportunity to watch our Former Vice President Dick Cheney in all his true eloquence last night on the Hannity show. His words last night were so important, so well stated and so transparently heart-felt.

In speaking about the release of the memos regarding the “tactics” used to gain important information from Gitmo detainees, Mr. Cheney requested that the memos regarding the intellegence GAINED from those interrogations be declassified so that the American people can see what we attained and how we guarded against those threats. He stated the he knows they exist. He read them.

The security of our country, the lives of family and friends, the threats that have never gone away are so much more important than, let’s say, higher taxes and government spending combined. The protests of the tea parties are wonderful, however, can we unify ourselves enough to demand the release of these memos as well? Can we stand by Dick Cheney, a man who kept this country in tact after 9/11 and knows that memos exist as to what those interrogations revealed?

The same people who stood in the limelight and held publicized fund-raisers for the victims’ families of 9/11 are the same people who stand in the way of justice and PREVENTION of further attacks. I stand by Dick Cheney’s request and would attend any demonstration held to demand the release of these memos. We need to get involved. Our ideals demand security for our country, freedom and liberty. I am not saying that tea parties for lower government spending and tax reform isn’t important. I am saying that a secure America is beyond by compare. It is not fair by any stretch to release “tactical” information used by the United States and hide the outcome. It is the people who log onto Redstate who need to stand up against these people who will stop at nothing to demean the previous administration and in the process, leave our country vulnerable. It is too much to dismiss.

National Mining Association Responds

November 3, 2008

NMA Comments on Senator Obama’s Coal Policy

National Mining Association (NMA) President and CEO Hal Quinn today responded to comments Senator Obama reportedly made in a January 17 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle. In response to a question, the senator said his climate change policy would “bankrupt” U.S. coal:

“Bankrupting the coal industry would be tantamount to bankrupting the American economy. Coal generates half of our nation’s electricity, employs hundreds of thousands of Americans and provides millions of dollars in revenue to coal states.

“Destroying the coal industry would break America’s energy backbone. It would raise the cost of energy for households and businesses throughout the country and create massive job losses. We trust the candidates understand this and do not believe that destroying the coal industry is part of the change we need.”

Hey Troll, bring this to your master

Well, you’re almost there. Five more days to see your dreams come true. Just 5 more days. It was hard for you, wasn’t it? So much work, so much planning. There were alot of “almost got caught moments” weren’t there? But you seemed to plod through it. You’re almost there. Hold on tight. Your mind should be at ease fairly soon.

The “Big Bang” of government takeover, financial downfall and constitutional chaos must have seemed lofty at first, but, by God, look how it all seems to be working out for you. Your brillance and achievements over the silly little Rascist American Capitalists are to be commended. You thought everything out, you commanded your brainwashed army well. You, sitting at a table with the most “brillant minds of our time”, with your clipboards and notes and books, talking and talking and not realizing how bad your breath smelled from the tuna hoagies over there in the corner.

You found the loopholes in Campaign financing laws and persued them so well indeed. You planted thousands and thousands of fake registrations so that the cries of disenfanchisement were rational. Brilliant. It must have been such a delight to write checks to greedy capitalistic CEOs of news organizations, to watch them wag their “tales” for you and sell their souls for money. See what greed did to them! Wow, what a magnificent scholar you are. And the irony must have made you orgasmic.

And what a pleasure it must have been to play on the poor to make them do as they were told. Look how well they learned to obey. See how their planted aggression got them their houses and, at the same time, you were able to bring the country financially to its knees. A two for one there. Did you made sure that they saved enough aggression up to riot after the election? Mustn’t miss that part so late in the game. You do deserve a toast. Did you ever think you would be a master in Divestment laws, a master of public research or a master of election law? Your mind is so vast, so overwhelmingly magnificent. You are enchanting.

Remember that day they announced Palin as a running mate? That must have been a busy day for you. Were you tired after a long day of work and research? You had notes and plans for Romney and Lieberman. I’m glad you had the time to pull everyone together for brainstorming. Your determination and attention to detail goes beyond norm. What a man. Those who dare the grand design, men like Einstein, Michelangelo, Hawkins, and Davinci, men whose genius is incomparable, stand right next to you shoulder to shoulder. You deserve a monument built and placed on the soil where the World Trade Center once stood. Your brillance, along with your collegues, is unable to be measured, to say the least. And Joe the plumber! That poor dumb bastard! Your fast action in disgracing an American citizen was truly the antithesis of compassion wrought with degradation. Beyond brilliant Sir.

Did you cover everything? Did you retrace your footsteps correctly? Make sure. You’re so close. Is everything in place for you. The big day. It’s coming. The day that your years of research, planning and toil will be brought to fruition. Has everyone been paid off properly? Did you consider everything?
Did you tie everything up into a big pretty bow? Did you factor in every possible scenerio. It sure looks like you did. Lets see. Let’s brainstorm.

A True Love for America

and why I believe

During an extremely slow day at work about 2 months ago, I had planned to sit at my computer and play a bit of online poker. My usual for those long days back then. I know what you’re thinking, but, after all, it is my place and I can do what I want! Sort of a ritual, I’d get my work done, grab lunch and play for awhile. Harmless fun.

For some reason that day, I decided to check out John McCain’s website for a few minutes. I never followed politics, live basically carefree in my little world here and keep to myself. There, on the McCain website, is a link to Redstate. I followed the link and began to read and read. Nonstop. I even posted some silly diary myself that day. A pure novice. Alittle embarrassing in hindsight, but what did I know? The diaries I read were eye-opening and I decided then that I would do some research myself, and needless to say, I haven’t played a hand of poker since.

In two months I have read about groups like the Weather Underground, Black Panthers, International Socialists Organizations, Movement for a new Society…
I have seen corruption in media, scandals, a financial meltdown, voter registration fraud, cries of rascism…

My research led me through pages of Activist propoganda, Marxism and Radical movements, Divestment literature, to the Lou tribe in Africa to Chicago streets to a Congressional madness with regards to Fannie and Freddie…

I sifted through the Annenberg failure, Woods and Joyce Foundation grant recipients, connections to underhanded characters like Resko, Wright, Ayers etc. I’ve heard about a woman speaking about her distaste for America. I’ve watched news shows drag a womans pregnant child through the mud. I’ve read about abolishment of amendments, complete nuclear disarmament, thousands of people killed after the election in Africa, Conferences for Radical Scholars, The Messiah, Campaign finances, National Police Force and the Fairness Act…

I should have played poker that day.

But then it all occurred to me in the middle of the night while my brain was racing with it all. I was blindsided with that same feeling after 9/11. The feeling that this is not about winning or losing. Its about saving and preserving America. Everything I had been studying felt like an abyss of hell. This wasn’t America. It did all happen in America, but it wasn’t “American”. These people, these organizations, their literature and writings and views…

Un-american, to say the least. Everything I uncovered for myself with regards to the Democratic Nominee had absolutely nothing to do with a True America.

I then realized that what this all came down to was perservation. Remember the things that stick in your mind as a child growing up in your neighborhood. Running for the bus, playing kickball, Mom cooking, the azelia bushes out front, picking berries, ringing doorbells and running. Remember Dad at the kitchen table talking about work and dreams of moving the family to a better neighborhood or how he wanted to open up that office of his own. I can go on and on here but I will refrain. But that life is the American life. In every state for as long as the first George W. took office. Love of God, love of country, pride in ourselves, pride in our families. Determination, hard work and making a better life for your family. We all feel it. From the best neighborhoods to the not so good ones. Most of us have it in our hearts.

Feeling a bit angry over my persistant horrible thoughts of everything Obama for the past couple of months, I thought that this morning I would take a look at the other side. And then I saw it. I saw why we will not lose this election. For the first time in a long time, I feel total confidence in the outcome of this election.

Stop with the Hawaii and Berg Stuff

Letter to Redstaters and Moe

I do not know how else to convey this other than with solid facts. To me, this is all an attempt to discredit Republicans and Fox news. Please hear me out, I am not a conspiracy nut, but I can put two and two together as I hope you all will in just looking at facts. I would hope that what I say makes sense to you and that everything pertaining to this is removed from this fantastically important website.

Moe, you may not even want to post this. It is up to you. Below are the facts, not my opinions. Decide for yourself when you add them together.

In the last couple of weeks Obama has mentioned Sean Hannity and Fox news numerous times. Even during his comedy speech with John McCain.

Berg, even though he seems like a complete nutcase, is on a nonstop effort to prove this Obama is from Kenya. Whether or not he actually does is besides the point. He might very well have a strong case, and if he does, Obama will do everything in his power to discredit him in the remaining days of this campaign.

Obama campaign is pushing for early voting.

Obama declares that his grandmother is gravely ill, that he was so upset that he wasn’t there when his own mother passed away that he would not allow himself the same mistake. Obama waits 3 days before departing. Apparently, if you are gravely ill one day, you will still be gravely ill 3 days later.

Out pops a completely ridiculous and totally fabricated internet story about a completely bogus enterprise called API (African Press International). I will remind you again, this is a TOTALLY BOGUS ENTITY. Supposedly out of Bismark, they have a completely made up story about some incriminating tapes that they want to release to Fox news concerning Obamas adoption in Indonesia.

On API’s fake website there are photos of several “reporters”. One of the photos is a gentleman holding a phone to his ear. HE DOES NOT WORK FOR THEM. About a week ago, I saw that same photo of that same man in a newsletter that was posted on a website from several years ago. I stumbled upon it after looking up archived material out of the University of Chicago “boxed and put away” material. Only lists of what they contained could be accessed. Lists consiting of alot of Apathied goups, Capitolism and investments in south Africa, Africa Peace tour, and much about Divestment groups. After playing for a couple of days and looking at tons of websites, that mans photo caught my eye and I thought nothing of him in particular. A few days later, I then recognized the photo on this fake API website.

Eliminating 25 million Americans

Underground ideals for the new government.

The link takes you to the article and ends with a must see two minute video It is a great find from American Thinker. Obama shared offices for years with the leader of a group who had these “brilliant aspirations”

Ayers is now an upstanding citizen

So have no fear now, vote Obama.

On Fox news right now:

“More than 3,200 supporters — most of them educators — have signed a petition protesting what they say is the “demonization of Professor William Ayers,” asserting that his violent actions as the co-founder of the Weather Underground were just “history.” You can see the entire article on Foxnews.com.

Yes, like clockwork. We all knew that was coming. I am sure that most of the people that signed that petition were all “highly regarded SCHOLARS” who most likely recieved some sort of “grant” along the way of Obamas illustrious career as a devout and upstanding member of the Chicago community.

Resko still talkin?

On October 12th it was reported that Tony Resko was chirping. I have heard nothing about this since it first came out. I have searched high and lo on the internet. Nothing.

Does anyone here have any information or follow-up to the first report? If, in fact, he did talk, would it be possible to keep this out of the hands of the media?

Predictions for the next 16 days

yours?

The Obama campaign has become so transparent and predictable that I can not believe I can not find a list posted anywhere. If these things were documented, they may actually be thwarted before they actually happen, or, at the very least, the ability to be prepared as the situations arise.

I am not as proficient as most here but I would like to put forth my predictions and hope that some of you will add to it, so that we can be ready for the inevitable. I had said to my friends about 2 weeks ago that I was 100% sure that there would be a “Republican Voter Fraud” account out in the media any day now. I may have become too atune to conspiracy ideas because of this election, but I never thought the words “Suicide Bomber” would be in my vocabulary. It bothers me not that some here may think me “clueless” but nothing about this Obama campaign has made me think otherwise. I trust nothing now when it comes to voter fraud, accusations, financing, etc. Nothing.

I predict..

1) One or two more accusations of voter fraud against the Republican Party.

2) Obama will campaign more in states that are overtly Repub. The swing states are already secure in the ability for them to cry Voter Disenfranchisement. Since these states are within the margin of error, chock full of fake registrations, they are geared up and ready for the lawyers. No need to waste any more time there.

3) The stock market will take a big massive dive very close to the election. Loads of short selling and cries of panic again. This shorting will not be done by american investors.

4) They’ve probably been working on another Sarah Palin controversy. Expect a fraudulent bombshell that makes absolutely no sence but out in the media anyway.

5) Another big endorsement for Obama.

6) Supporters of Bill Ayers will start make appearances on MSNBC.

7) Election day, if The One doesn’t carry a state that The One wanted, look for the riots in that state.

8) Major cries of foul play aimed at Republican voters and workers on election day.

9) Massive amounts of money doled out to other Democratic races.

10) Obamas half hour blocks on major networks…will be toted by cable news organizations as the most unpresidented viewership in american history.

NY Times slams Cindy McCain

and the Senator is really angry

Looks like the NY Times decided to use facebook to search out students who attend the school of the McCain’s youngest daughter. They stooped so low as to pretend they were doing a story on how Cindy was as a parent, etc. They gathered info and went to town.

The article, front page, slams Mrs. McCain as a dope fiend and a Washington outsider.

You can follow the link on foxnews.com and also read the article about Senator McCains reaction.

The New York Times will do and say anything to get “That Thing” elected. People will see right through it. It is just ashame that Cindy, who is such a charitable person, has to get treated like this. You will never see a word about Michele Obama, after all, she’s definitely voting for Obama.

Skewed polls go both ways

The infamous election polls. When skewed in favor of Obama it puts out the message that its over for McCain, don’t bother Republicans, stay home and accept defeat.

Again, When skewed in favor of Obama and there is an “upset” and McCain actually really wins this thing, there is reason to contest and incite riot.

These things are so visibly transparent, especcially the newest claim of the “Bush-McCain lawsuit against voter fraud”. It is so blantanly ridiculous, however, I believe the intention is not even in the works nor is there any paperwork to go with it. I believe it to be simply is a subliminal link between Bush and McCain and when written at the bottom of the screen of all of those liberal news shows all you see are the words Bush-McCain. Discredit and link… Discredit and link… with no merit, just as long it hits the dumb-minded masses.

Watch and see an unfolding event occur exactly 14 days before the election, another 10 days before the election, one at 5 and then one the night before. Anyone with half a brain can spot it. It is fake. Complete fabrication to fool the masses.

Take strong notice to the Joe the Plumber saga. Keep up with the drama of Joe the plumber, this is exactly what they want, because it takes the eye off of the words “Spread the Wealth”. Even Fox fell for that one. I have noticed so many diaries here arguing the merit of Joe being discredited. Remenver, its about “Spread the wealth”. Don’t fall for it.

It is unfortunate that most Americans are clueless to what is happening behind the scenes and that they do not take an active part in educating themselves to the fact that if this “THING” takes the oval office, our constitution will be altered, our freedoms will perish, our military forces will be in severe jeapardy, our financial system will be taken over and the days of a beautiful safe America will be destroyed.
