A Hispanic Supreme Court Justice is well overdue. It would have happened much earlier if it weren’t for racism.

If Miguel Estrada had not been filibustered and denied countless number of times by the Ds, then he might have been a potential nominee when Sam Alito was selected. Yep, the racism by the Ds did keep an hispanic from having an opportunity over the previous eight years.

think differently than liberal blacks. Their position is that they OUGHT to all think the same and know that if conservative blacks or blacks espousing conservative ideas get prominent mainstream attention, it is a direct threat the left’s power.

I was actually going to point that out myself–that if we’re parsing degrees of racism, then we’re calling into question the very existence of racism.

I’m reminded of an old joke where a man asked a woman if she would sleep with him for $10,000. She readily agreed. He then asked if she would sleep with him for $5, and she said, “What kind of girl do you think I am?”

His response: “We’ve already determined that. Now we’re just haggling on the price.”

Racism is racism is racism. Crossing the street to avoid a black teenager, refusing to hire someone due to their race and killing a black man who supposedly raped a white woman may be different degrees of racism, but they’re all wrong.

It is inherently racist to assume that all blacks thin the same, just as it is racist to think that all whites think the same. This is what Boxer did and this is what Dencal endorsed. I am sorry you disagree, but don’t act like the argument has no merit.

And just so you know you aren’t the only person on this board to have experienced racism first hand.

election would make the race issue worse. I was wrong, or at least I was hopeful…that this could be the one area that his election would have a positive effect on…

I will say this. I think Obama’s election coupled with the great recession is eroding most all tolerance for race games by whites anymore

The Dems make sure they bring up David Duke as much as possible, but how dare us bring up KKK Byrd. Allford’s org seeks to encourage and promote blacks as entreprenuers with no animosity towards.

The JFK kind of aff action was needed: voluntary seeking out of qualified minorities.

The demlib kind is of another kind altogether and you surely know that.

and this stuff ain’t racism. This is arrogance and elitism on Boxer’s part, and arrogance on Allford’s part. My sense of his reaction is that he didn’t think she was givign him his due by viewing him and his organization as a lesser light compared to the NAALCP.

I grew up in the rural Jim Crow South where there were “White” and “Colored” doors and water fountains, Blacks wouldn’t dare come in the drug store and order a Coke, and the balcony at the theater was openly referred to as “ni@#$r heaven.” That’s racism! The word has been so cheapened by the Left that it has been rendered meaningless. Just like hate has been rendered meaningless – and hero for that matter.

but he happens to be an advocate for Black owned businesses. If the chair of the National Hispanic Chamber of commerce where there instead of Mr. Alford, you would say that its based one race, instead of whole as National Chamber of Commerce is. Since we don’t live in color blind society, there is a need for the NBCC and others.
