In something as big as the TARP, the four words: “…including, but not limited to…” mean effectively that the government has complete authority to lend that money to whatever or whoever they wish. I’m not surprised that they included that codicil and I’m also not surprised at the result. The Heritage Foundation might be, and I’m sure Paul Weyrich is rolling over in his grave, but let’s face facts: he’s dead.

I hope you have the snowblowers ready along with the shovel, we’re supposed to get a foot of snow, but you never know with these meteorologists.

That sounds like it should be some Life Metaphor™ (“you know you need to change your life when you almost hit a duck sitting in the snow on the road”), but it’s not. He was just sitting in the snow on the road. Poor duck, we normally don’t have snow for a week – usually a dusting and gone by mid-afternoon at the most. He probably thought he left Canada a while ago, expecting to come to the Willamette Valley for our mild winters and lots of rain. Surprise!

We have 3 more inches of snow forecast for the weekend too. There has already been more snow this week than the last 4 years combined. And it’s not even winter yet.

I know God has a sense of humor, since he’s made fun of Algore ever since that fool started his Global Warming Crisis nonsense.

This should be… interesting.

If Maryland (or any other Peoples’ Democratic Society in the US) succeeds in either banning personal weapons, or severely curtailing their ownership, while continuing early release for convicted hardened criminals – will the lawmakers then (or any of them) support approval of broad citizens’ ‘carrying’ laws?

A quid pro quo, you see, for we citizens who are loath to become victims of free-wheeling human predators, and have no qualms about ‘doing unto others’.
