Before Sarah Palin’s selection I was one of those lukewarm McCain supporters. I was going to vote for him simply because I dreaded the prospect of a ultraleftwing presidency.

Since the selection I’ve donated, I’ve worked to spread the word, I’ve talked him up, I’ve talked Sarah Palin up – in other words I’ve become energized. From what I’ve read all over the blogosphere I don’t think I’m alone.

I’ll vote for Bob Barr to help keep the Libertarian Party on the ballot. I’ve done it in the past and I’ll do it again. Why? I think all this media dragging Gov. Palin throught the mud is going to back fire on them. The way I see it, people are going to relate to Gov. Palin, she has to deal with life just like everyone else does.

For your stories today. I have seen a small amount of mainstream television news coverage since the Palin announcement. Last night I saw Nightline, and I was just at a loss for words for how they were treating the related stories.

• All too happy to splash her (Bristol’s) picture up on national television.
• All too happy to spread the rumors in the guise of news: “top blogs are abuzz with reports that Bristol is actually Trig’s mother…”
• “Conservatives and Evangelicals can’t be too happy that such a naughty little girl came from the Palin household!!!”

I think these echo chambers filled with liberal “journalists” are in the midst of a panic fit.
