The USO is another. They welcome home many of our returning vets. Maybe a simple “welcome home, Thank you” might help. I have heard horror stories from family and friends regarding vets returning from Vietnam that I’ll bet many of the vets we are talking about experienced. You never know what a simple smile, thank you or a hug can do. Building a connection for someone to ask for help when it is needed.

After all, the way King Barry the Hopeful is doing, in another few months Jesse Jackson and Sharpton are going to be calling him our first half-white President.

I know first hand how rough the economy is here in Michigan so I really sympathize with you. It’s wonderful that you’re looking to use this time to do some good. The first thing that popped into my mind was Purple Heart. I’m not sure if they work with homeless veteran’s per se but it’d be a good place to start. Good luck!

Michigan is pretty crazy. There’s really very little real work here. I get by, but at 30% of what I could be doing.

One thing we can agree on, is that Auntie Granholm has got to go.

Unlike so many on the Left who want to do good with *my* money (witness the charitable donations,or lack thereof, of such luminary leftists such as Jesse Jackson, Al Gore, John Kerry and Joe Biden), you are not only thoughtful in your approach to issues, you actually put your money (and actions) where your mouth is.

I’m not from MI so I can’t help you out, but here’s a heartfelt thank you for your efforts, your generous heart, and your love of country and those who defend it.

Seriously, I appreciately the spirit in which your question was asked. I don’t live in Michigan, but I hope someone here can help you out.
