Time to ready the pitchforks and torches

I’m not advocating sedition mind you, but there comes a time when enough is enough! With the imminent passage of the unwanted montrosity of a Heathcare bill, it seems to me we are in France, circa 1789. I don’t know how many history buffs there are out there, but for those of you who are not aware, the Big Event in 1789 was the French Revolution and the storming of the Bastille.

I have been to Paris. I’ve been to Bastille Square. I’ve also been inside the dungeon where Marie Antoinette was held prisoner until she lost her head. Literally. Not a very pleasant place.

With King Louis the XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette fully ensconced in the Senate and House, and the Messiah watching over them, I fully expect to hear the words ” let them eat cake.” Or did I miss that one. The obliviously of the “Big 3″ to the wishes of the 73% of Americans outside their doorstep is tantamount to the same situation in France. The power-hungry, narcissistic attitudes of all three boggle the mind, and their mentality of “we know what’s best for you, will of the people be damned” is a recipe for potential unpleasantness after this Healthcare passage.

Tom Harkin, Barack Obama, and other left-wingers, per Erick Erickson of RedState, are asking this question:

If Republicans are so sure passing health care reform will doom the Democrats in November, why not help them pass it?

See what I mean. These guys have all lost their heads. Figuratively.

I’ve been to the costume shop. You can get a cheap, plastic pitchfork there for about $5. And they also carry those torches people use for Hawaiian luau parties. You can get yourself some good protest gear for about $15. Not a bad price. Supplies for my signs at the Tea Parties cost me more than that.

By the way. When Pelosi finally is booted out, I’ve got dibs on her 757. I’m gonna hold a raffle and the 20 winners get to ride along. Then when we’re in the air, we’ll have a bet pool and see how long it takes us to go through $1,000 of liquor.

The Debtocrats don't care about protests, they only care about the outcome of the next election.

And some don’t even care about that, as Mark Steyn explained today on Rush. They care about the endgame of imposing socialism on the American people. Some don’t care about re-election. But some do.

And the BEST way to have an effect on those Debtocrats is to communicate one of the two TRUTHFUL messages to them:

“I am a conservative Republican Party precinct committeeman and I am recruiting every conservative I can to come into the Party with me as a precinct committeeman for the sole purpose of making sure you and all like you who do not uphold your oath of office will not be returned to office in the next election” or

“I am a conservative Republican and I am taking steps to become a precinct committeeman and I am recruiting every conservative I can to come into the Party with me as a precinct committeeman for the sole purpose of making sure you and all like you who do not uphold your oath of office will not be returned to office in the next election.”

Here are some numbers:

Resistnet.com has 67,000+ members.

TeamSarah.org has 78,000+ members.

The Conservative Underground, TCUnation.com has over 16,000 members.

NRA has over 4 million members.

Gun Owners of America has about 500,000 members if memory serves.

The various Tea Party and 9.12 and WeSurroundThem groups across the nation have millions of members.

Thousands and thousands more belong to other groups like ourcaucus.com, anystreet.org, etc.

But, where are they united? HOW and WHERE should they UNITE? United we STAND. Divided, we FALL. I guarantee those incumbents who want to be re-elected would be SHOCKED and TERRIFIED if the leaders of all of the above-mentioned organizations, or even ONE of them, sent out a press release or held a press conference announcing that they would be imploring all of their members to immediately take steps to become Republican Party precinct committeemen to fill up the HALF of those slots that are UNFILLED to make sure that CONSERVATIVE candidates would challenge, and defeat, all incumbents who have violated their oaths of office by supporting unconstitutional legislation.

We conservative, decent people outnumber the socialist/liberal/Commies. But we are splintered. And we don’t seem to realize this is, in the end, about one thing and one thing only — getting more people to vote for OUR candidates.

HOW? By offering the dumbed-down electorate a choice, not an echo, at the general election.

HOW? By making sure a conservative wins in the primary.

HOW? By making sure conservatives outnumber liberals/moderates/RINOs in “the most powerful office in the world” — the precinct committeeman positions.

WHY? Because then PCs can vote to endorse the BEST conservatives in the primaries and help get out the vote for those conservative candidates. Primary elections, historically, have VERY low turnout. If a majority of the PCs are working hard to get the vote out in those crucial primary contests, then the conservative candidates WILL win.

“We the [conservative] people” are slowly waking up. But holding a sign at a rally doesn’t really change anything. ONLY real, grass roots, in the trenches political participation does. And that happens at the monthly local GOP meetings.

I’m in Maricopa County, AZ. We’ve gone from having 31.7 per cent of our precinct committeemen slots filled on Election Day, 2008 to over 50 per cent since then. Again, nationally, about HALF the Republican Party precinct committeemen slots are empty — and split about 50-50 between conservatives and RINOs. The establishment Republicans, EVEN MOST OF THE CONSERVATIVES, DO NOT want you to upset the status quo, because EVEN THE CONSERVATIVES are afraid they’ll get tossed out, too, in the primary.

Go here to read what I wrote about it at Redstate.com: http://www.redstate.com/stix/2009/12/08/conservatives-and-the-gop/#comment-131

We need to realize the ONLY REALLY EFFECTIVE place to “party” is within the Republican Party as a precinct committeeman. That should be priority number one right now of every conservative.

In my humble opinion.

Thank you.

Just interviewed Les Phillip, for AL#5. Half hour. Passed the Conservative Test with flying colors. IMO a great one to back in AL against Griffith.
