She has cut Dick’s lead from 41 to 10, that is good for the beginning of August. Hope she wins the primary, because she is the only candidate in CT that will be able to win. She will have the cash to push this thing into November, and not starve the NRSC of resources for other races. If Simmons crosses the finish line, no way he will be able to compete with Blumenthal. This is a long-term race, and if its down to a short sprint the last 30-45 days, then Blumenthal carries the day. Linda has the money and ground-game to wear him down.
Plus she is different and interesting, and this election cycle, different and interesting is a winning combo, not long-time politician.

SirGladiator (Diary) Wednesday, August 4th at 9:24PM EST (link)Certainly Simmons has no chance against Blumenthal, as a career politician and leftist himself, he has no appeal to the Independents. If I were in CT I’d have to vote for the Conservative, Schiff, but certainly between McMahon and Simmons I support Linda, and since Schiff isn’t going to win hopefully Linda will, Im pretty confident she’s going to. She’s clearly more Conservative than Simmons, in addition to being a much better candidate in pretty much every possible way. She’s got the money, the intelligence, the skills, and most of all she’s ‘real’, not a fraud like Blumenthal has admitted to being. She’s going to wipe the mat with Blumenthal!
