The liberals in Washington see the answer as government funding. The rest of see it as a bad product, courtesy of far left editorial boards, versus the information variety of the internet. For with the exception of The Wall Street Journal it appears that people continue to vote with their pocketbook.
Then again what did those newspapers expect? They all supported the teacher unions and their failing public schools systems. They all supported open boarders, bi-lingual education and “sanctuary city” laws. The laws that helped bring in and keep tens of millions of illegal immigrants that can not speak or read English. Did any of them speak out against the gangster rap hip-hop drug culture that is so inherently anti-education? So just what kind of client base did they think that they were building anyway? Flagstaff (Diary) Monday, April 27th at 6:45PM EST (link)is due to a reduction in rates. TV spots advertise $2.59 per week (I think), and I got a flyer offering a year for $99.00. I’d be right on that, but I don’t get my chores done as it is. IBD is much more expensive. I’d go for a much reduced price online version, but they don’t offer that.
I think the Rupert Murdoch is going after USA Today, with the WSJ.
“The press is so powerful in its image-making role that it can make a criminal look like he’s the victim and make the victim look like he’s the criminal. If you aren’t careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”– Malcolm X, Audubon Ballroom, December 13, 1964
