This little move will supposedly save about $540 million (with an m – you haven’t seen that word lately have you?) but we’ve got $900 million for Palestinian terrorists.

I really am beginning to hate him.

If congress doesn’t shoot this one down, there had better be a house cleaning in the mid-terms.

We should add to this post a “Top ten earmarks that cost Veterans their healthcare”

1.) Bail out the auto industry and you give more power to the democrat-friendly unions.

2.) Bail out the financial industry and have more power over people by controlling all of their money.

3.) The insurance industry is the one thing that is standing in the way of Obama implementing a complete government take-over of the healthcare system. By adding a half a billion dollar stress to the insurance industry, they start moving in that direction.

It’s all about the government running everything and this is a subtle way to help them accomplish that.

What it really does, as I understand it, is make a vet’s insurance, if he has it, the primary coverage. So, a disabled vet gets a job and his job has health insurance, then his job provided health insurance is responsible for his health care, including that related to his disability and the VA is only the secondary coverage. If the vet’s HI is 80-20, his private HI pays the 80 and the VA the 20. They’ll make all sorts of noise about how this is only fair and just like anybody else with double coverage.

EXCEPT, that it really interferes with the Disabled Vet preference that many employers observe as a matter of patriotism or law and which many must observe under USERRA. And, most health insurance plans have all sorts of restrictions on pre-existing conditions, which obviously a service related disability would be.

What these evil ba@#$%ts are really planning is to pillory the health insurance companies for refusing to cover the pre-existing disabilities of disabled veterans and making a big pitch about how they’re throwing the responsibility on the taxpayers even though they’re being paid all that money for HI coverage.

I also suggest contacting all Congresspeople and other’s Senators who have a military background and give them an earful I will be calling Webb’s office myself, my husband is going to be calling his Gathering of Eagles contact and I suggest anyone who has contacts in Rollling Thunder call em and get em this is bigger than TEAPARTIES this is the the BEST DAMN MILITARY IN THE WORLD and 2.5 million of them make sure over 300 million of us are SAFE EVERY DAY….hell they deserve nice houses, cars etcs….,they deserve the biggest BAILOUT of all as a big THANK YOU!…..arghhhhhh I am MAD!

This is total advertisment material. I remember the 1991 special Senate election in Pennsylvania to fill the vacant seat of deceased Sen. Johnn Heinz (R-PA), Harris Wofford (D) was an underdog with no political experience that defeated heaviliy favored former Gov and US Attorney General Dick Thornburgh (R) One of Wofford’s major campiagn themes was healthcare. Among those was a powerful and populist ad he had was asking why prisioners get free health care but not working families. That ad worked to his advantage. We should use something like this

It would cost a small business tons of money. The annual increases in premiums are based on the health of the insured. If you own a small company and one or more employee is a vet in need of care then the premiums could skyrocket.

They aren’t.

Or, they don’t care.

Or, they’re more interested in promoting their socialist agenda and intend to use this as another reason why we need universal, government mandated, health insurance/care.

that The One’s plan is to throw the injured veterans onto private insurance coverage, and play up any complaints there are about their health care coverage as the justification to take over the health care industry.

I can’t believe what I am reading! Who the hell does this guy think he is? Is he that clueless? He throw away BILLIONS on poorly run businesses , that donated millions to him, and he wants to toss out soldiers to the street!

Illegal aliens on the whole will likely get better treatment at local hospitals than this CIC will provide through the VA. Both aspects of that are disgusting: The less than sterling treatment the VA often provides AND the free treatment (at taxpayer expense) that illegals pick up in hospitals across the US.
