Any idea on the turnout?

I am sensing that the “taxpayer rage” movement is waning. People were pissed off when the stimulus was passed, but they also have short memories. I don’t know if this can be sustained.

In fact, it’s likely that Obama will gain in popularity (as will the stimulus) as he attends ribbon cutting ceremonies all over the country, and as the economy rebounds as it naturally does (in spite of the stimulus, not because of the stimulus).

Ok, I don’t really believe all of that….but it is a possibility that has crossed my mind.

Great idea having the protest at lunch time. That had been my suggestion for “conservative” protests, as well as right after work (we nonlibs tend to have revenue-producing things to do when we’re in the city during the day). I’ve been at a city center park during lunch events. It’s incredible how many people will turn out, if nothing else, just to gawk.

I’ll be with ya in spirit.

Activists Taking Action: Unified Patriots

I found a cool link on Michelle Malkin’s website to Pajamas TV (http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=page&page-id=68) for a listing of scheduled tea parties – the list has gotten significantly longer just today. There may be one in your area! If not, and you help organize one, be sure to list it on this site. Many are scheduled for this Friday (27th) but there are a number being held in March and April, too, so it’s not too late!

If the news media shows up, the Arch in the background will make for great scenery.

I hope the weather is good.

Alas, I get to be one of the suckers working (OT no less) to pay the bills for everyone else.

Too bad I have commitments out in the county on Friday or I’d go.
