Now that Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed to the Supreme Court, the woman whose letter alleging sexual misconduct put a halt to a somewhat smooth nomination process will not be going further with her claims.

Needless to say, this disinterest in seeing that her supposed attacker is held accountable says a lot about everything.

Does it not?

With the Senate voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh as an associate justice of the Supreme Court, Christine Blasey Ford has no further plans to pursue her sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh, according to her lawyers.

And as reported, Dr. Ford does not want to muddy things up for the next Congress.

Ford only wanted to speak with members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, her attorneys told CNN on Friday. Ford does not want the situation to “drag on into the next Congress should Democrats end up winning control on Capitol Hill,” the network reported.

I’m sorry, I meant to say that her concern for dragging the issue to legislators is only a problem if the Democrats are successful in bringing a crushing blue wave at midterms. And all this time we were told this was a search for the truth. Hmm.

If Dr. Ford’s concern was such that she thought she should bring the issue up during the nomination process, then why would it change once the drama died down? If sexual assault isn’t a bipartisan issue, why is she only worried about disturbing a Congress under Democratic control? And we must ask ourselves, is she making all of these decisions on her own or was control of the process always in the hands of others who had an agenda?

I’ll let you decide for yourself.

However, this sudden end to any pursuit of supposed justice, now that the spotlight is gone and Justice Kavanaugh is almost a reality, is quite telling.
