She Went From CNN One Day to Trump TV the Next, and Now She's Moving Again

Fresh off her stint as CNN contributor, long-time Trump cheerleader Kayleigh McEnany has been named official spokesperson for the Republican National Committee.

If you were wondering just what kind direction the party was heading, her placement should confirm it. The GOP is solidly in the Trump camp, as if the election and last six months didn’t already give that entirely away.

The Hill reports:

Kayleigh McEnany, who recently departed CNN as a contributor, will be the next spokesperson for the Republican National Committee.

“I am excited to be joining the RNC at such an important and historic time in our country,” said McEnany, a frequent surrogate for Donald Trump in last year’s presidential race.

“I’m eager to talk about Republican ideas and values and have important discussions about issues affecting Americans across this country,” she said in a statement from the RNC.

“Kayleigh will be an integral part of our Party’s ongoing commitment to promoting the Republican message to Americans across the country,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel said in a separate statement in the same release.

On Sunday, McEnany appeared on a sort of “Trump TV” channel video, sharing “real news” about the presidency, and preaching the Make America Great Again sermon.

Reportedly, the RNC is not ruling out similar types of pro-Trump campaign-style media in the future.

The RNC didn’t rule out McEnany appearing in the “real news” videos while in her new role.

“Nothing’s planned at the moment but we’re always looking for ways we can be helpful to the campaign,” Ahrens said.

We’ll have to see what McEnany’s tenure as spokesperson truly holds, but safe to say, it will probably look much like her previous, heavily pro-Trump employment.

Remember, conservative and Republican are not synonymous.
