The Broadway musical “Hamilton” has been in the news a lot recently.

Not only is the show a major success, but after one of its performances in NYC, a cast member berated Vice President-elect Mike Pence, who was in the audience. It was awkward, to say the least.

Now the show’s creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, is asking for donations to Planned Parenthood.

According to Lin-Manuel, you can enter for a chance to win a trip to see “Hamilton” by donating to the abortion giant.

Yep, if you win, we’ll fly you and a friend to all three cities next year to see all three productions AND you’ll get backstage meet-ups with the cast.

All it takes to win is a $10 donation to Planned Parenthood Federation of America. My mother, Dr. Luz Towns-Miranda Ph.D., is on the national board of directors of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the not-for-profit advocacy and nonpartisan political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and I’m urging you to make this critical donation and to go to PlannedParenthood.org to learn more about the work they’re doing.

Oh, goody. You might just win some coveted tickets, and all it takes is donating one of your Hamiltons to an organization that murders 323,000+ unborn lives per year. Gain tickets, trash your conscience.

It’s no surprise that Lin-Manuel Miranda is so passionate about something this grotesque, though. Surely he was indoctrinated from an early age by his mother who currently serves on the board for PPFA. A life-affirming family they aren’t.

Both mother and son made their feelings about Planned Parenthood known in a recent interview for the useless rag Vogue (emphasis mine).

Planned Parenthood was then, and is now, a beacon of hope, and a safe place for those women. For 100 years, Planned Parenthood (and its advocacy arm, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund) has been providing and protecting community-based health care, making it one of the country’s most trusted organizations.

In New York, women are more fortunate than others because there is a health care network that provides reproductive rights without severe restrictions, or limited access to both the insured and the uninsured.

Wait…who is fortunate? In 2012 in New York City alone, more black babies were aborted than were born. That isn’t progress at all. It’s discrimination of both race and developmental stage. Planned Parenthood gleefully preys upon desperate women in the inner cities who are seeking help. Instead of hope for them and their babies, they offer a murderous “way out”.

Ms. Miranda shared other nonsense in the interview, too.

Women living in states that restrict access to contraception and abortions find themselves in a pre-1972 scenario, living in fear of an unwanted pregnancy.

With the increased threat to women’s reproductive rights and access to health care for all under the incoming administration, my family and I are not standing idle. Lin-Manuel, my genius son and supporter, partnered with Prizeo, a celebrity digital fundraising platform, to run a spectacular sweepstakes

For labeling themselves as the “party of science”, liberals sure are fond of avoiding scientific truths. You don’t catch a pregnancy like you catch a cold. It isn’t lurking on unwashed hands that touched the grocery store cart before you. The responsibilities associated with sex always include the possibility of pregnancy. As regards contraception, neither Donald Trump nor Mike Pence have the power or desire to strip contraception from every corner of American pharmacy shelves. What may change? Women may have to pay for the contraception they desire on their own. There is a wide range of contraceptive options – including inexpensive ones. Nothing is pre-1972 except the hysteria – and falsehoods – coming from the Miranda family.

I really have no desire to see “Hamilton”, and couldn’t get a ticket anyway. There is no denying that the show is a creative and brilliant success, though. It’s a disgrace that the show’s creator and his mother, who calls her son a genius, would advocate on behalf of an organization which kills the unborn.

The hundreds of thousands killed per year at Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide are lives whose futures have been discarded. Regardless of whether they would have been future Broadway geniuses or your next door neighbor, their lives mattered.
