I have a challenge for my African-American friends. Watch the video linked below and then tell my exactly why you continue to support, en masse, a political party that supports efforts to wipe you out.

Here’s what we can expect from the Democrats for the foreseeable future. Gaining the White House and a Super Majority in the House and Senate were only the initial phase of the plan. And though they executed it almost flawlessly, there is still much more work to be done. Relinquishing power is never an option. The country must be transformed permanently.

Phase One-four year plan:

Pass an immediate ‘stimulus package’ to give our faithful supporters, the working poor and middle class, a bone. This will not stimulate the economy of course, we simply bemoan the failed Bush economic policies as being too dire for even this primary effort to have an effect.

Reinstate the ‘Fairness Doctrine’ to stifle all opposition speech. This is essential for our radical agenda to succeed. An uninformed public is our greatest strength (See Election 2008).

Reinstate the offshore oil drilling ban.

Pass a comprehensive immigration bill that grants ‘amnesty’ to every illegal immigrant thereby gaining another 20 million faithful democrat voters scattered across the country, with most settled in Texas and Arizona; two ‘Red States’ that will be turned ‘blue’ for a generation. With opposition speech now silenced this should be very doable.

Convince our liberal supreme court justices to retire and replace them with younger, more liberal justices that can influence the court for the next generation.

Announce the immediate withdrawal of US Troops from Iraq while simultaneously declaring victory for the war fought. President Obama will be portrayed by our allies in the press as a great ‘wartime President’ while appeasing the pacifist wing of the democrat party. The withdrawal will be a long, drawn out process taking nearly two years, but in the eyes of the American public, we will have victory.

Cut military spending by 50% and divert those funds to create a new civilian defense force. Among the responsibilities this force will undertake, is community organizing and overseeing of elections.

Implement the Obama Cap and Trade Scheme, punishing businesses and killing jobs, while driving up energy costs nationwide. The rise in costs can be blamed on the Bush administration that failed to implement a workable energy policy.

Allow the Bush tax cuts to expire and raise the top rate to 85%. Cut, or eliminate altogether, taxes on people earning less than $75,000 a year. With increased job losses and energy prices this number will be include most Americans, including the newly naturalized citizens from south of the border. The rich will finally be paying their fair share. Everyone else will be dependent on the government.

With the aid of the courts and our allies in the legislature, repeal the 22nd amendment thereby eliminating term limits for President of the United States. With our newly formed civilian defense force overseeing elections, Barack Obama will serve as President for life.

As I was helping an elderly woman at work today the subject of our conversation turned to Obama. She said, “I like Barack Obama. It’s his followers I can’t stand.”
I loved it.

I may be a bit out of touch, after all it has been nearly ten years since I went through a bankruptcy, but Biden’s comments regarding bankruptcy and mortgage lenders through me for a loop.
He said, and I am paraphrasing, “I not only want to give bankruptcy courts the power to force lenders to lower the interest rates for those who can’t pay their mortgages, but I want them to have the power to lower the principle as well.”
Of course his point is to make sure that nobody ever gets evicted or lose their home simply because they can’t pay for it.

This is a very dangerous policy. Where in the US Constitution does it give government the right to force a lender to absorb all the costs of doing business? Where in the US Constitution does it give the government the power to force a lender to ‘take a loss’ on a loan simply because the borrower couldn’t pay? Give bankruptcy courts the power to force banks to lower the principle on a defaulted loan? Tell banks that $300,000 mortgage is now only a $200,000 or a $150,000 mortgage? Is he crazy?

His policy would not only put an end to foreclosures, which is what he wants, it will kill the housing market for the middle class.
When a borrower takes out a mortgage the house becomes the collateral for the loan. If you don’t pay, the bank takes the house. If the house can no longer be used as collateral, what incentive does a lender have to make the loan in the first place? How in the world can he believe this will help the American people?

How many mortgage lenders will refuse to give mortgages to anyone except the wealthy? How many homeowners will refuse to pay that $300,000 mortgage, knowing the government will make it impossible for them to be evicted and force the bank to lower the principle, possibly by half?
Maybe I’ve got it wrong. Maybe I’m out of touch. Maybe somebody smarter than me at RedState could explain it to me. And hurry before I mail my mortgage payment.

By not accepting McCain’s invitation to go with him to Washington to do what US Senators are elected and paid to do he is making a big gamble. He is betting everything that whatever solution comes out of Washington FAILS! A massive failure at this point would be hung like a millstone around McCain’s neck and Obama will have satisfactorily distanced himself from the process.
If the measure succeeds, however, McCain will be seen as being part of the solution and Obama, again, distanced from the solution. Hence, Obama is hoping for failure, nay, he’s betting on it.
