Go Out and Vote. Lets Turn Our Country Around.

Women and men from all walks of life–farmers, teachers, small business owners, doctors, prosecutors, state legislators—HAVE watched our country head in the wrong direction. They could not let that encroachment on the American dream continue, so they stepped forward to run for Congress and help restore America.

The video below describes this national election and our candidates on the front lines:

Over the last few weeks, we have talked about a number of our Young Gun candidates. Below the fold is a list of these common-sense conservative new leaders.

Today, we can put the brakes on liberal policies and change our country’s direction. We can turn America around. Go out and vote. Take your family and friends to vote. And also remind your neighbors and co-workers that today is Election Day.

Thanks,

Rep. Kevin McCarthy

Support Sean Duffy in Wisconsin’s Seventh Congressional District

Tomorrow is Election Day, and I’m excited for the Republican House candidates who have worked so hard over the last several months. Momentum is on our side, and tomorrow, Americans can make a bold statement to change our country’s direction.

One who I am excited about is Young Gun candidate Sean Duffy, who is running in Wisconsin’s Seventh Congressional District. If Sean looks familiar, it’s because he was on MTV’s Real World. But in the actual real world, Sean is a former prosecutor who stepped forward to run for Congress when he saw the Democrats’ failed policies hurting the country.

Sean Duffy
Just like he chops logs as a competitive lumberjack, Sean wants to chop down the federal budget deficit. He would do that by freezing non-discretionary federal spending to 2008 levels and canceling unspent stimulus money.

Sean is also on a mission to get the economy going to create jobs. Instead of the Democrats’ tired idea of more stimulus spending, Sean believes in releasing the energy of small businesses. That means stopping the Democrats’ tax increases coming on January 1, 2011, abandoning a cap-and-trade energy tax, and reducing regulations on small businesses.

Some of those new regulations are found in the Democrats’ government takeover of health care. Sean rejects that Big Government approach and will work for real solutions like letting consumers buy insurance across state lines and lawsuit abuse reform.

Check out Sean’s website and follow him on Twitter.

Thanks,

Rep. Kevin McCarthy

Support Randy Hultgren in Illinois’ Fourteenth Congressional District

Four days remain until November 2nd – a day when Americans can deliver a loud, clear message that they want to get their country back on the right track. Conservative activists are working hard making phone calls, knocking on doors, and reminding their neighbors to vote for conservative change next Tuesday.

In Illinois’ Fourteenth Congressional District, voters have a choice between the status quo of Rep. Bill Foster or Young Gun candidate Randy Hultgren.

Randy Hultgren

Incumbent Rep. Bill Foster sided with Speaker Nancy Pelosi over 92% of the time. He voted to drastically grow government and the debt by voting for the $800 billion stimulus bill that failed to create jobs and also voting to let the government takeover health care.

As a businessman, Randy Hultgren wants to move away from the failed policies of Congressional Democrats. He knows that small businesses drive job creation. So, instead of government spending billions and driving up the deficit, Randy would repeal the death tax, cut taxes for small businesses, and cut government spending.

On fixing health care, Randy will actually listen to his constituents and work to repeal the health care law and replace it with real reforms like letting consumers buy insurance across state lines and tort reform to limit frivolous lawsuits.

Check out Randy’s website and follow him on Twitter.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy

Support Scott Tipton in Colorado’s Third Congressional District

A Washington Post poll found a majority of Americans are worried about being able to pay their rent or mortgage. This is yet another piece of evidence that the House Democrats’ big government policies have failed.

In Colorado’s Third Congressional District, Young Gun candidate Scott Tipton can help bring common-sense change to Congress.

Scott Tipton

Scott’s opponent, incumbent Rep. John Salazar, sided with Speaker Nancy Pelosi over 97% of the time. He voted for the failed $800 billion stimulus bill and supported the government takeover of health care. And Rep. Salazar’s path of bigger government hasn’t created jobs.

When he’s not fighting for taxpayers in the state legislature, Scott runs a small business. He’s had to invest wisely, balance budgets, and listen to his customers. Washington needs that real-world experience.

To get the economy moving again, Scott will fight to cut spending, reduce the deficit, and cut taxes. Let’s empower the private sector to do what it does best: create jobs.

Instead of Washington controlling health care, Scott will work to repeal the law and replace it with reforms like expanding Health Savings Accounts, lawsuit abuse reform, and letting consumers buy health insurance across state lines.

With Scott, we will have proven conservative leadership in Washington to help get our economy moving.

Support Reid Ribble in Wisconsin’s Eighth Congressional District

Unlike Washington bureaucrats, small business owners know how to create jobs. I’ve been impressed that a number of small business owners have stepped forward as Young Gun candidates because they want to get our economy back on track. One of those Young Gun candidates is Reid Ribble, who is running in Wisconsin’s Eighth Congressional District.

Reid Ribble

Incumbent Rep. Steve Kagen has supported House Democratic policies that have created an environment of uncertainty for businesses. He voted for the $800 billion failed stimulus bill that didn’t create jobs. Kagen says he is “proud” of voting for the government takeover of health care that is burdening businesses with higher insurance costs and mandates. And instead of working to stop taxes from rising for all Americans on January 1, 2011, Kagen voted to leave Washington to campaign.

Businesses aren’t sure what House Democrats will do to them next, and uncertain about the future. This is affecting hiring. Americans want better leadership.

As a small business owner, Reid knows how jobs are created. Reid is right when he says, “Uncertainty is the death knell of job creation.

To build business confidence, Reid wants the federal government to “spend less, pay off debt, and become more fiscally responsible.”

Also, instead of a government takeover of health care, Reid supports letting people buy health insurance across state lines to increase competition and lawsuit abuse reform to reduce health care costs.

In Washington, we need experienced business leaders like Reid to get our economy moving and get people back to work.

Why Change is Happening This November

Support Ryan Frazier in Colorado’s Seventh Congressional District

Every two years Americans hold their members of Congress accountable. If they have done a good job representing them they send them back to Washington, but if they fail to lead they can be replaced.

The last few years, we’ve seen the effects of failed Democratic policies. Unemployment is too high, businesses are uncertain about the future and are holding back from hiring and investing, and we’re trillions of dollars deeper in debt.

Americans want fresh, new, conservative leaders to find solutions to these problems. Today in Colorado, I campaigned with one of those new leaders, Young Gun candidate Ryan Fraizer.

Ryan Frazier and Rep. Kevin McCarthy

Ryan is a Navy veteran, a small business owner, co-founder of a charter school, and Aurora City Council member.

Incumbent Rep. Ed Perlmutter has walked the Democratic party line. He voted for the failed stimulus, the government takeover of health care, and cap-and-trade energy tax.

Ryan offers real change. Ryan believes in “free markets, less spending, lower taxes, and investing in innovation” not more spending, higher taxes, and more debt.

He opposes the stimulus because “it has failed to do what it’s promised.” That’s plain as day: unemployment is still high.

As a small businessman, Ryan understands the increased costs and burdens the health care law will have on small businesses. He wants to repeal it and replace with free markets solutions like medical liability reform, small business buying pools, and allowing insurance purchases across state lines.

For Ryan, it boils down to fostering an “environment of regulatory certainty” for business.” If they know their taxes won’t be going up and Washington’s reckless spending is under control they’ll be confident in hiring more workers.

Ryan’s solutions on jobs and the economy won The Denver Post’s endorsement. I know he’s also winning over voters in this swing district.

Support Vicky Hartzler in Missouri’s Fourth Congressional District

Election Day is only seven days away. House Republican campaigns across the country are knocking on doors, making phone calls, and getting the message out. Many races are tightening. One of those is in Missouri’s Fourth Congressional District where Young Gun candidate Vicky Hartzler is taking on 34-year Democratic incumbent Rep. Ike Skelton.

Vicky Hartzler

Vicky is an award-winning high school teacher, former state legislator, and runs a farm and a farm equipment business with her husband. Her experience is in touch with her district.

Rep. Skelton has lost touch with the people of his district and went along with the House Democrats’ liberal agenda. He and Speaker Nancy Pelosi have voted together over 94% of the time. Those votes include the failed stimulus bill and the cap-and-trade national energy tax.

Vicky is running against “one-party rule” and the “Washington power monopoly.” We have seen the results of Democrats in charge: fewer jobs; a weak economy; more debt; and bigger government.

Skelton-Pelosi policies haven’t created jobs and gotten our economy moving. Vicky offers better ideas that reduce “the tax burden and heavy-handed regulations on job creators.” Vicky wants to stop the automatic rise in tax rates that will happen because House Democrats failed to take a vote. Vicky will oppose any new cap-and-trade national energy taxes. She’ll work to repeal the government takeover of health care law that burdens small businesses with a new Form 1099 filing mandate.

Recently, Vicky said, “Somebody needs to stand up to Nancy Pelosi and say no, and our current congressman isn’t.” Americans want checks and balances in Washington. They won’t get that from a Democrat like Rep. Skelton.

Check out Vicky’s website and her Facebook page.

Support Mick Mulvaney in South Carolina’s Fifth Congressional District

Americans have so strongly rejected the Democrats’ failed policies that even long-time incumbents aren’t safe. One example is in South Carolina’s Fifth Congressional District, where Young Gun candidate Mick Mulvaney is challenging the 28-year Democratic incumbent, Rep. John Spratt.

Mick Mulvaney,Young Gun,South Carolina

Mick is a State Representative and small business owner who knew our country couldn’t continue on the path the Congressional Democrats were taking us. His district needed new leadership.

Spratt has lost touch with his district and sided consistently with Speaker Nancy Pelosi on important issues like the failed stimulus bill, the cap and trade energy tax, and the government takeover of health care.

In defending his vote on the stimulus bill, Rep. Spratt claims it created jobs. But unemployment has continued to go up despite the Democrats’ rhetoric that it would not rise above 8%.

Mick has a better way to get people back to work. He supports tax cuts to let private industry “do what they do best: create, innovate, produce … and hire.”

Rep. Spratt also continues to defend his vote for the unpopular health care law.

On that unpopular bill, Mick thinks that “the best thing we can do to keep the jobs we’ve got is” to get rid of it.

Looming over the debate of these important issues is increased government spending and debt. Mick knows we have to get our spending under control.

Under Rep. Spratt’s watch, the debt has skyrocketed to over $13 trillion. This fiscal irresponsibility was exemplified this year when Rep. Spratt – the chairman of the House Budget Committee – did not get a budget through the House for the first time in history since the Budget Act.

This shows how badly Washington is broken.

Mulvaney sums up why new leadership is needed:

“The truth of the matter, the last several years our congressman has changed. And it’s time for us to change congressmen.”

The Fifth Congressional District can’t afford someone who sided with Speaker Nancy Pelosi 98% of the time.

Check out Mick’s website and his Facebook page.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy

Support Dr. Scott DesJarlais In Tennessee’s Fourth Congressional District

A poll came out showing 61% of independent voters in 10 battleground House districts think Speaker Nancy Pelosi is more liberal than they are. This shows independent voters rejecting the Democrats’ out-of-touch policies.

In Tennessee’s Fourth Congressional District, we see that contrast between Young Gun candidate Dr. Scott DesJarlais and Rep. Lincoln Davis. Today, I had the pleasure of campaigning with Scott.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy and Scott DesJarlais

Scott, a doctor with almost 20 years of medical experience, sees a Democrat monopoly in Washington leading our country in the wrong direction. He knows we have to get the economy moving. To do that, Scott will fight to “stop higher income taxes, higher taxes on small businesses and family farms and new taxes on health insurance.” Instead of a failed stimulus bill Rep. Davis supported, Scott wants “spending cuts and removing government red tape.”

Another difference is over the government takeover of health care. Rep. Davis tip-toes around the issue, saying he’d only repeal “certain parts” of it. Scott wants the unpopular law repealed entirely and replaced with patient-centered reforms. With Scott’s medical experience, he understands reforms that will lower costs.

Compare Scott’s conservative values to Rep. Davis. On the campaign trail, Rep. Davis mentions he’s an “independent conservative,” but he aligns himself with Washington liberals, voting with Speaker Pelosi 94.9% of the time.

Two votes in particular stand out. First, Rep. Davis voted for the failed economic stimulus bill, yet unemployment in his district remains high. Then last month, Rep. Davis sided with Speaker Pelosi and voted to leave Washington instead of voting to stop taxes from increasing automatically on January 1, 2011.

Voters in this district have a clear choice. They can support Scott who is listening to the people and fighting for smaller government and lower taxes, or a Democrat who sides with tax-and-spend liberals like Speaker Pelosi.

Check out Scott’s website and follow him on Twitter.

Thanks,

Rep. Kevin McCarthy
