It seems ironic that 150 years after a war that defined our country for future generations, posed the greatest Constitutional test of our history and found men fighting for the rights of others that the very political party that espoused slavery then still supports it and fights for it today.

Today’s slavery is not directed toward one race as it was 150 years ago but it is just as debilitating to those who fall under this political slavery as it was for those who lived in slavery during the early years of our country. A new political party, the Republican Party, was born just prior to The Civil War for the sole purpose of combating slavery and fought against the party of slavery then just as they do now.

The Democrat platform of the 1860′s was a pro-slavery policy that sought to keep those bound in the disgusting practice of human bondage to another. They fought to keep it in exsisting states and actually fought to force its spread to states that were either anti slavery or sought statehood in the Union and did not the practice of slavery.

This post is not to argue the causes or the results of our Nations most terrible conflict but to show that the Democrat Party is as adamant in its policy of enslaving Americans though government as it was in keeping black Americans enslaved before, during and after The Civil War.

The recent battle over the budget that threatened to shut government down was just one more example of the absolute hold that Democrats have on the overbearing power of government and why they refuse to seriously seek limiting government and reducing spending. Plain and simple limiting government and reducing spending takes power away from Democrats and frees Americans from the slavery of a government that through the guise of liberal, “compassion,” seeks to enslave every citizen.

The social programs that Democrats hold dear and force on Americans are nothing more than government slavery which takes away an individuals ability to provide for themselves since they have government to do it for them. Every piece of legislation introduced by Democrats has at its heart another way of forcing Americans to depend on government or creates a regulation to force Americans to abide by government whether they want to or not. That is nothing more or less than slavery to a liberally run Washington.

Democrats seek to tell us how to eat, how to work, what vehicles we must drive, how to raise our children, how they must be educated and if we do not adhere to their orders they either regulate to force us to or introduce a new program flooded with tax payer money which results in government taking over forcing Americans to depend on that same government. Obamacare is the prime example of this move to government run health care slavery.

Reducing the size of government and spending also reduces Democrat power over Americans who they have enslaved to government. Americans then see what liberty truly is and find that self reliance is possible without government slavery. So Democrats fight at every turn to prevent Americans from seeing the truth of slavery to government.

They try to hide it by using their liberally owned media task masters as a tool to beat Americans with a barrage of sound bites and false commentary that cutting spending and limiting government starves children, kicks grandma out on the street, forces workers into poverty because the Unions can’t protect them from the evil capitalists who seek to steal their livelihood. They lie using these same liberal platitudes and unfortunately many Americans who because of this Democrat slavery to government believe the lies and elect these slave holders to office.

Through this Democrat government slavery a large portion of our population think government is the only answer and they are owed checks or assistance provided by the labor of others. Or as Barack Obama put it during his 2008 campaign to Joe the Plumber, “redistributing wealth.” Democrats lie and call it making things, “fair,” for all but in actuality they enslave those who fall under their liberal spell and steal from those who don’t and use government regulation to force those who don’t into slavery by manipulating the law.

Abraham Lincoln Emancipated the slaves in the Southern states and the Thirteenth Amendment made slavery of any man, woman or child illegal in The United States. Yet Democrats violate this cherished Amendment which also outlaws, “involuntary servitude,” by their constant use of government to force dependency of Americans on government under the threat of law or through programs forced on us which require participation by American Citizens.

Democrats fought to keep an entire race in slavery during The Civil War. Now today 150 years later the same Democrat Party fights to enslave EVERY American to government and in the process destroy the traditions, values and principles that have made out country great. They seek to spend us into oblivion to accomplish this slavery and blame Republicans, the Tea Party and anyone else they can find for their truly unamerican obsession with enslaving the masses through government.

I was watching the returns and posting as I watched, covering the election and remember commenting to a friend of mine who was doing the same that at least we know during the next two years we would have a considerable amount of subject matter to post as Obama and his Democrat cohorts had total political control of the government and the fight was on to gain control of the Congress in 2010.

Sure enough the first two years of the Obama Presidency brought massive spending, created tremendous debt, a failed foreign policy and a weakening of America never before seen in our history as he forced a socialistic state down our throats and apologized for American greatness. And just as was discussed on election night 2008 there was plenty of subject matter to write about as Americans began waking to the truth, the Tea Party evolved and 2010 shaped up to be a banner year in defeating Obama’s agenda.

Fast forward now to November 2010 and the shellacking the electorate gave Obama and Democrats in an historic election which changed the House, almost balanced the Senate and spanked Obama severely as the people resoundingly stated, “we are fed up with what you are doing.” Republicans announced over the transition period that they had listened to the people and the new blood going to Washington in January 2011 would stop Obama and reverse the direction and spending that had exploded under his regime of, “hope and change.”

Well we are now well within that time of, “new blood,” and almost nothing has changed as a result of the election. Obama still does whatever he wants. His complete failure a President is emphasised especially in the last few weeks as The United States for the first time in my lifetime is no longer the leader in a effort to stop a tyrant and Obama is not only satisfied with that but allowed the situation to escalate in order to force America into a secondary roll.

One of the worst natural disasters in history has hit a trusted and close ally and the supposed leader of the free world plays golf, parties with Washington elite, spends a considerable amount of time playing and bracketing basketball and travels to Rio with his family for a sight seeing tour. In the mean time the, “new blood,” Congress has not even scratched the surface in cutting spending and rather than moving quickly in getting fiscal control and reversing the destructive direction we were taking as a Nation the, “new blood,” is moving slower than a turtle who has taken to his shell fearing his surroundings.

As a long time activist and a blogger since 2004 I have struggled of late for subject matter not because there isn’t much to write about but the problems we are fighting are not only repetitive in nature but the improvement we voted for is almost non-existent and one wonders what good we are doing in the process. I mean how many different ways can we say Obama is a failure and Congress is broken and keep the momentum going and the anger of Americans stirred in order to complete the task of taking our country back and restoring Constitutional sanity to our government?

Then I am reminded of our Founding Fathers. They faced a challenge in birthing our Nation that during most of the fight they faced was insurmountable. Unlike our fight today where polling has shown that the majority of the country is as fed up with Obama, Congress and the direction our country is taking as we are, our Founders faced a situation where only about one third of the country actually backed what they were doing. Another third was against them while the remaining third could care less either way.

I am reminded about the terrible winter of Valley Forge when brave members of the Continental Army face near starvation and death because they believed in the cause of freedom and the man who led them for the cause George Washington. I think of the tremendous task facing Benjamin Franklin and John Adams who fought to gain financial alliances with France and Denmark to fund our new government and the struggle they faced even before this to seek French help to defeat the British during out foundling Revolution.

I think of the 56 men who risked everything to declare that the thirteen colonies of Britain would be no more but rather thirteen independent states of America forming a new Nation where all men are created equal and no longer would bow to a monarch, pledging their lives, fortunes and sacred honor for the cause of freedom and the birth of a Republic where each could prosper in accordance to their own abilities without the strong hand of government or tyrants holding them back.

We were born because of political activism and our Constitution expects each of us as citizens of this great Nation and Republic to BE political activists. Holding every aspect of government from agencies to elected officials accountable to we the people and ALWAYS fighting regardless of the odds or the lack of conviction for Constitutional sanity in Washington to keep our Nation free and our government limited. Even if it means booting every elected servant out of office in every election cycle until we find those who will stand and fight with the people for the American we expect and our Founders decreed for all generations from the very beginnings of this Republic.

Even if that means repeating ourselves constantly screaming through our voice in whatever means available. Whether posting on the Internet, writing, phoning and e-mailing our Representatives or marching on Washington making our voice heard and NEVER giving up fighting for what we know is right regardless of the odds or the deaf ears that seem to prevail in our government. Our Founders refused to quit and they birthed a new Nation. We in following the heritage of activism they passed on to us must NEVER quit to restore what they created.

We may never know that the hundredth time we tell of the failures of Obama that someone who has ignored this truth or never listened to it before might read what we write or listen to what we say and realize the dangers we face and join our fight. We may never know the minds and hearts we reach with the truth of our broken Congress and the need to stand for the liberties they seem to want to ignore. And as those voices continue to grow the deaf ears in Washington begin to listen and if not the masses who have joined our fight may very well vote in the people who will truly fight with us and restore our Nation. We owe this to those who have fought before us and to those generations who follow so they too may know a free land known as The United States of America.

We voted out Democrats not so much because we loved Republicans but because the Democrats were spending money and taking our country toward bankruptcy and total financial failure. Democrats were taking our Nation down a socialist path that went against every principle and tradition our country was founded on and we not only did not like it but said by our vote we would not stand for it.

So we voted in Republicans with the expectation that not only would the Obama agenda stop but spending would be cut and cut dramatically, deficit spending would come to an end and the $15 trillion dollar debt would begin to decrease getting our fiscal house back in order so future generations would still have the ability to live a free and prosperous life which is the legacy Americans have left each generation since our founding.

We understood that cleaning up our fiscal nightmare would not happen over night but we expected it to begin changing direction and start heading down a path of fiscal responsibility immediately and dramatically. The first weeks of the new Congress looked promising as Republicans started immediately making cuts, sought to repeal Obamacare and led by example by curbing spending of each member of Congress and the operating budget of the House of Representatives.

Then came the attempted assassination of Gabrielle Giffords, a tragedy that understandably shook the Nation and members of Congress. In the days that followed the left spent all of their liberal air time trying to blame the act of a lone non political nut on Republicans and the right with everyone on the left from Barack Obama to his partners at MSNBC calling for, “civil discourse,” as if the anger toward he and his bankrupting agenda caused the shooting, which it most certainly did not.

But what did happen is the GOP that listened to the people who voiced our disgust with the direction our country was headed by our vote last November, lost its backbone after the shooting and now seems to fear doing what we sent them to do. They still talk a good game but when it comes to actually making cuts that match the talk, Republicans are coming up far short of what we expect and still trying to get along with Democrats who have no desire to cut spending but continue to move us closer and closer toward national bankruptcy.

The time to try and get along is over. The time to make minimal and even marginal cuts is over. It’s time to get a backbone and even if Democrats fight tooth and nail in the Senate to prevent deep cuts from taking place we expect and yes demand that Republicans do what we sent them to do and fight for the people by making the cuts necessary to stop the direction our country is headed. If that means shutting the government down in the process then so be it.

This playing with constant Continual Resolutions and throwing out a few billion hear and a couple of billion there in order to get Senate Democrats and Obama to sign on to the resolution is ridiculous. Republicans have a strong and decisive weapon to force Obama and Democrats into agreeing with deep cuts but are not only afraid to use it but want to keep the resolution, “clean,” so Democrats will play patty cake with Republicans and keep the government running regardless of the cost.

Even if deep cuts fail to pass the Democrat held Senate or by some miracle pass the Senate and fall to an Obama VETO, we expect the GOP to take a fiscal stand and make the deep cuts and show the country the truth about the left and their total lack of fiscal responsibility and their hypocrisy in claiming they want to cut spending but in actuality refuse to do so. Use every tool available to force Obama and Democrats and if that means shutting down the government then do it!

It is not 1995 when Bill Clinton managed to cry that grandma would be starved and kids wouldn’t eat in school because the mean and nasty Republicans shut down the government. Obama, Reid and the rest of the Democrats use the usual lies to try and scare Americans over a government shut down but this is a different time and a different electorate. We understand who they are and we also understand what they do to try and deceive Americans.

Democrats are scared to death of a government shut down because they live and die by the government and if any portion of it is shut down they panic and think the world will come to an end because government can’t be used as the answer to every problem. We the people know that essential services like the military and yes even the huge entitlements that conservatives do not consider essential but many in our country unfortunately depend on will not stop.

Get a backbone Republicans. If you must send a Continuing Resolution on March 18 then send one with hundreds of billions in cuts. Michelle Bachman has been trying with little success to get GOP House members on board in stopping an unconstitutional appropriation already taken from the Treasury to illegally fund all implementation of Obamacare which totals $105 billion dollars. Add this to the Resolution.

Republicans we demand that serious cuts are made and made quickly. The $61 billion dollar joke that was sent to the Senate was not enough to even make a dent in spending. Although it was significantly more than what Democrats proposed at a little over $4 billion it was nothing compared to the cuts we expect and demand. The time for playing political games and compromise just for the sake of getting along is over.

If Republicans shut down the government in an attempt to make deep and serious cuts forcing the hand of Democrats, it will not anger Americans but will rally us behind Republicans as we will see the GOP is serious in representing the interest of the people and working to get our fiscal nightmare in order. Polls have shown that most Americans favor a government shut down if it accompanies deep cuts.

It’s time to use every means available to force Obama and Democrats and get our fiscal house in order. Republicans, shut the government down and then go to the American people and tell them why you did it. Scott Walker has shown by example how to stand up against the left and the people of Wisconsin did not run from him but stood with him as he faced down the left and Democrats who refused to do their job.

We expect Republicans in Washington to take the same type of stance against Obama and Democrats in DC as Walker did in Madison. Force their hand, make the deep cuts. Demand the return of the illegal $105 billion dollar Obamacare appropriation. Use the Continuing Resolution as the tool and if Democrats refuse to vote yes on a Resolution with deep cuts in it then SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN. We sent Republicans to Washington to take this type of stand, to make the hard decisions and stop Obama, Democrats and our of control government and spending. Draw the line in the sand and stand strong GOP, we the people will be right there with you to force the hand of the left and get our country moving back in the right direction.

Last November the people of our Nation spoke in a loud and clear voice both on the federal level and the state level that the agenda of Barack Obama as well as the ideology of the left was rejected by the voters and we the people in accordance to our Constitutional privilege overwhelming cast our votes changing the House of Representatives and nineteen State Legislatures.

Before that vote was cast the majority of Americans expressed though protest and polling that the spending, deficit and debt creating agenda of the left was no longer going to be tolerated and finally though our vote the people placed elected officials in office that campaigned on the promise that spending would be cut and the bankruptcy facing our Nation both federally and in most states would be addressed and legislation passed to begin the process of restoring fiscal sanity.

The left who in almost all cases are represented by Democrats, while agreeing for the purpose of gaining votes before the election, have exposed their true self as the implementing of the promise of getting our financial house in order is now becoming a reality and new representation is acting on the will of the people by putting forth legislation which will reverse the path of bankruptcy and begin placing us back on a sound financial footing.

In Wisconsin and Indiana voters chose new Republican legislatures who have placed in action financial legislation to get control of debt ridden state coffers and restore sound financial management to these states. The people of both states overwhelmingly support the legislation and expect their lawmakers to act upon it which is why voters chose the make up of current state leadership. Democrats in both states have scoffed at the will of the people and rather than doing their elected duty of voting on the legislation have chosen to abandon their state, their constituents and fled to Illinois, protected by a Democrat Governor from being returned to their states and plan to remain to prevent the will of the people from being implemented.

Like a little child who doesn’t get their selfish way Democrat lawmakers in both states have run away claiming they are doing their job. Their job is to listen to and legislate in accordance to the will of the people and represent that will as a member of the Wisconsin and Indiana state legislatures. But left ideology has and is showing that the will of the people ONLY matters if that will agrees with the left other wise it is a inconvenience and as such should be ignored.

The precedence set with the fleeing of Democrat lawmakers in Wisconsin and Indiana has now given the cowards on the left a new and dangerous tool in which to prevent any governing body the ability to act upon the voice of the people that does not agree with leftist and specifically the political ideology of Democrats. Rather than following the Constitutional process of voting against legislation and losing that vote, Democrats have chosen to run and hide to kill the legislation. The people and the legal legislative process be hanged.

On the federal level while Democrat lawmakers have not yet taken up the practice of being political fugitives they in like manner have held up any attempt to curb spending and decrease both the debt and deficits with the usual scare tactics of claiming any cuts will take away children’s lunches, kill seniors, abandon the homeless, end all education, throw grandma out on the street etc. Republican moves following the will of the people have been called draconian and compared to Hitler’s rise to power in the 1930′s.

Adding to this blatant slap upon the people are the dictatorial moves by Barack Obama to abuse his Executive power ripping the Constitution to shreds by deciding which laws he will enforce and which he will not. We are a nation of laws and our Constitution forbids any Branch of our Government from choosing whether to enforce the law or not without that law first being created or eliminated by the legislative Branch of that same Government. Obama has chosen to ignore this basic Constitutional principle and by Executive Order not enforce the Defense of Marriage Act.

He has shown disregard for the Constitution since taking office but through this one move has placed himself above the law and the Constitution and made himself the authority who decides which laws are to be enforced and which are not. Only a dictator makes this type of unconstitutional decision and Obama has hailed himself these dictatorial powers. This one move alone fits the Constitution definition of an impeachable offense and the removal from office for over stepping his authority in violation of the Constitution.

For the left the Constitution is only viable if it agrees with their ideology. In most cases our founding document does not agree with them which in their arrogant minds allows them to ignore it and act in complete violation of Constitutional law claiming that it is a living breathing document which no longer applies to today’s society since it was written more than 200 years ago. So they just ignore it and the people and act as they please.

When the people stand up for Constitutional principles the left accuses us of being racist, Nazis and anti American. When in actuality it is THEY who are anti American since it is THEY who choose to ignore not only our founding principles and document but the basic principle of our Republic that government receives its authority from the people and it is the will of the people that governs the actions and direction of both the state and federal government.

This is why the left must cease to be a force in our political system. I am not by any means advocating taking away their right to disagree or the ability to speak freely about their beliefs. They have that right just as much as anyone in our country. Rather I am suggesting that by our collective privilege of using our vote we the people cast our vote against the leftist ideology that most of our fellow citizens side against. We by our vote eliminate those who choose to ignore us and the Constitution, whether Democrat or Republican because there are leftists in both parties just more Democrats, removing this anti freedom scourge as a force.

If we do not the precedence set by Democrats in Wisconsin and Indiana will become constant in any legislature where even a single leftist vote is needed in order for legislation to be passed. The left no longer believes in freedom. They no longer believe in a true representative form of government. The left ONLY believes in the left and all who disagree must bow to their elitist demagogues who claim to be our representatives and fall lock step behind their anti American ideology to destruction and slavery to government.

Never before in my life have I found myself so utterly angry at a politician and especially a President as I find myself being toward Obama. Even when Bill Clinton who I had no political agreement with and Jimmy Carter who up until the current White House resident was the most inept President our Nation has had, I could find at least something to respect because of the office they held and although disagreeing with them felt that their methods and policy though wrong for our Nation were for the most part coming from men who loved America and wanted the best for her.

I cannot now nor have before nor ever will be able apply the same to Barack Obama. Putting it frankly Obama hates America while pretending to love her. No one who loves their country as he claims he does would seek its destruction at every turn, embarrass her on the world stage in every foreign speech and response to every foreign policy problem and when actually taking a stand on an issue ALWAYS side against the Constitution, the majority of the American people and every tradition and value we have held dear since our founding.

We have watched over the last two years this total anti American individual spend our country to the verge of bankruptcy and then spit in our face after we gave him a massive referendum by our vote refuting his agenda by pretending to hear us and acting like he understood and would reach out to our Capitalist society in order to allow the economy to restore itself and our debt to decrease, then when actually presenting his, “ideas,” and ,”proposals,” only offering more of the same and worse to continue us down his path of national destruction.

Never before has a President so ignored and sought to destroy the Constitution as Obama has. Even in the darkest days of Watergate Richard Nixon still had a respect for and adherence to our Constitutional principles although by his paranoia allowed his fear to overcome his ability to act rationally and soundly in handling the problem. Obama’s actions toward the disregard of our Constitution are not from fear or paranoia but a deliberate move to eliminate its principles and values from our society completely.

He ignores who we are as a people and what we are as a Nation in his every response to the pressing and dangerous actions taking place especially in the Middle East. In Egypt he threw a decades old ally, who though not a pearl of leadership was a friend who held much more evil forces at bay. Obama sides with the much more evil forces in the Muslim Brotherhood while whining that he was supporting the people’s move to democracy when no one not even Egyptians know whether they will be free or under an Islamic Theocracy.

Yet in the same region, regimes that are well known for their radical Islamic leadership, Iran and Lybia, country’s that have and still do promote, fund and do terrorist activities where citizens are truly protesting for freedom and democracy, Obama ignores the hundreds that are being killed standing for freedom and calls for the people to calm and sides with the Islamic regimes in seeking to quell the voice of freedom in these oppressed lands.

Here in our own country when millions protested around the country and hundreds of thousands came to Washington several times to stand for freedom, our Constitution and protest the agenda Obama was forcing down our throats, this inept occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue ignored the protests except to express that anyone who disagreed with his policy was anti American and sides with those who called our own people Nazis and racists because we disagreed with this idiot!

Now in the state of Wisconsin and spreading to many other states, elected officials who are acting on a mandate by their voters to end Union abuse of tax payer dollars and get the financial house of their state in order, this same imbecile calls action seeking freedom from economic turmoil, anti American and sides with communists and leftist being bussed in from all over the country to force the hand of elected individuals,(who have the backing of their people,) to keep the people of Wisconsin and the states that are following under an economic servitude and hostage to Unions.

He apologizes constantly for American greatness and seeks to eliminate that greatness and place our country in a weakened state on an even playing field with the rest of the world. While Europe who has lived under socialist rule and now finally understands it failure and are seeking to move away from it, Obama is dead set on following the same path that has destroyed Europe and ignores the truth while acting as if he wishes to be the President of the world caring nothing at all for the people and the country he was elected to serve.

My friends we cannot survive a second Presidential term with Barack Obama. We will be lucky if we can recover from the damage and destruction he has left in his wake during the first two years and that which is sure to come over the next two. Republicans are jockeying for position to run against him but only a few are willing to state the truth about the dangers of this man and his agenda against America. When they speak they are labeled racists and anti American but in actuality they are American patriots who could care less about the color of Obama’s skin but understand how dangerous he is for our country.

We cannot afford to beat around the bush in defeating this Marxist ideologue and ending his anti American actions and war against freedom in our country. The time to play petty politics and be kind and considerate is over and our anger with Obama and his destruction of our country must be expressed so that the truth overtakes the false accusations and the dangers are shown for the true and utter destruction from this individual that they are. We and those who we support to take his place must have the courage, come what may, to make the American people hear that Obama is the destroyer or we will be faced with another four years given by a blinded and deaf electorate who are numbed into submission by Obama’s lies.

His weak response to the entire situation in Egypt changed almost daily as he first seemed to stand momentarily with Mubarak staying, then leaving, then waiting it out until elections could take place, then leaving immediately, then listening to the Egyptian people, then …..well you get the picture. The only real consistency he has had throughout this crisis is that he has NOT taken a stand in support of Israel who has almost at much at stake on the outcome of this as Egypt and he has constantly avoided the truth about the radical Islamic face of the Muslim Brotherhood.

This weakness on the world stage and his not taking any principled stand combined with flip flop decisions or no concrete response at all has been his norm on any world crisis and as such has presented a vulnerable and uncertain United States that has our allies angered and concerned as to whether The United States will vote, “present,” or just ignore any conflict or trouble in any region of the world. His weakness also emboldens our enemies to ignore any diplomatic overtures or simply act without concern as to whether the most powerful Nation in the world will involve itself in protecting or defending not only our country but our friends as well.

Since taking office Obama has been indecisive at every turn at best and non responsive at worst on all situations concerning foreign policy and world crisis situations that have developed. When he has had a response it has been weak, constantly changing or completely wrong as was the case during the legitimate pro democracy protests that took place in Iran in 2009. As a result we are seeing constant unrest in the Middle East that Obama calls pro democracy but in reality no one knows whether they are actual moves toward democracy or a complete radical Islamic take over of the entire region.

In other foreign situations we are seeing more saber rattling from North Korea than at any time during the tenure of all his predecessors since the Korean War combined. China treats us as if we are their servant and expects our Nation to bow to them as its leader did when greeting the Chinese president both here and when he visited the communist Nation. Even in our own hemisphere we have seen the Chinese do something that the Soviets feared doing during more than forty years of Cold War, test fire a ballistic missile from a submarine off our coast as a show of military strength.

Iran continues to advance toward if not already having nuclear weaponry and supporting terrorist activities that are killing our soldiers in the field. Afghanistan has dissolved into a problem that is now taking more American lives that Iraq with a strengthening Taliban whose presence was all but eliminated but now because of the failure of the Commander in Chief in fulfilling requests for troops by commanders in the field and tying the hands of our best and bravest with ridiculous rules of engagement, the Taliban is growing and our troops are dying in response.

The only situation where Obama has not answered, “present,” is on the domestic front. He has advanced his failed agenda with spending that has taken our country to the brink of bankrupt oblivion and still seeks new spending so that government can continue to fail in solving problems it has no business being involved in and cannot even remotely hope to solve since government creates problems rather than solves them. On this he has had no problem in taking decisive and concrete action which has set a destructive path for our Nation and a questionable future for our children for the first time in our history.

Not since the days of Jimmy Carter has our Nation been less respected, more indecisive, consistently facing a clear and present danger from all corners and collapsing from within as it is now. In fact we are in a much worse situation now than during the days of the peanut farmer from Plains, Georgia. During his Presidency our greatest enemy, the Soviet Union, was predictable where today’s enemies are not. Our financial situation though precarious under Carter did not threaten to completely take our Nation to total financial collapse and ruin.

Some men grow into the Presidency as time takes its toll and the great responsibility and power of the office forces even a poor leader to at least make the occasional right decision and take the occasional correct action during a crisis or an issue whether foreign or domestic. Obama is the first President that has failed to grow into the office at least in some aspect. He is still confused and weak without a clue as to how to handle any aspect of the Presidency. He cannot make any decisions without flip flopping several times before finally leaving the situation more confused than before it started.

His total failure and weakness has become in many aspects the most clear and present danger to our security and our future as a Nation. He shows a weakness to the world that threatens all. He creates policy at home that for the first time in our national existence will create a generation whose existence in America will not be better than that of their parents. If we survive the final two years of an Obama Presidency it could very well take years to correct his failures if those failures can be corrected at all.

Ronald Reagan was the American dream. He came from humble beginnings in Dixon, Illinois and after graduating college began a career in radio which presented an opportunity while broadcasting Chicago Cubs baseball games to take a screen test which resulted in his becoming an actor whose career spanned 50 films. Most would consider this to be the peak of success and the satisfaction and achievement for a lifetime, but not Ronald Reagan.

His move into politics came as a result of trouble in the Screen Actors Guild in which he became president. He continued to be politically active during the fifties as a spokesman for General Electric until he came to national prominence in 1964 delivering a speech named, “A Time For Choosing,” during the Presidential campaign of Barry Goldwater. Goldwater lost the election but Reagan’s popularity grew and three years later he was elected Governor of California.

It was while Governor that Ronald Reagan first began to influence my life. I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Living on the East side of the bay before San Fran became known so much as the liberal mecca it is today. My parents were Kennedy Democrats yet when Reagan ran for Governor of California my parents especially my dad saw something in him that changed his politics and his vote as he cast his first Republican vote for Reagan.

I was eleven years old when my class went on a field trip to Sacramento to visit the State Capitol. Like any field trip everyone was excited especially since it meant we didn’t have to be in school. No one expected to meet anyone during the trip but while touring the State Capitol building out comes Governor Reagan to visit with us. He told us he had heard that there were school children visiting that day and he took time from his busy schedule to spend a few minutes with us. Though only eleven I gained a great respect for Reagan that day even more than just a typical child’s respect for someone famous.

We moved from California shortly before Governor Reagan left office so my teen years of impression grew around this conservative in the Governors seat of my home state and as such because of Ronald Reagan I became a conservative as a teen while most of my friends were interested in the more liberal side of politics if any interest at all. In fact during the first 32 years of my life first as my Governor then later as my President, Ronald Reagan was always there and always part of who I was and the America I grew up and became a young adult in.

During his Presidency Reagan took his long standing opposition to communism and under great criticism from those who opposed him and many in his own Republican party fought this scourge against freedom and even though many of those elected and the media disagreed with his stance against the Soviet Union, we felt save in knowing that he was at the helm of state and that while he was on watch nothing would harm America. Growing up in the nuclear age and the early days of the Cold War this was comforting as I remember the Cuban Missile crisis and having to participate in drills for a nuclear attack diving under a school desk and placing my arms over my head.

But even more than the security we felt as Americans while Reagan was in the Oval Office we saw a bright hope for our country after several years of hopelessness first because of Watergate then the destructive foreign and domestic years of Jimmy Carter. Reagan told us it was good to wave the flag. It was proper to know and act as an exceptional American because we lived in the greatest country in history. We were once again proud and patriotism was popular because President Reagan reminded us always of our, “shining city on the hill.”

In 1988 I once again had opportunity to meet this greatest American during a campaign stop in North Carolina for Jesse Helms. I was very active in my local GOP and was invited to the campaign appearance and meet the President afterward. I worked in radio at the time and had and still have what many call the gift of gap yet when standing before the President and shaking his hand all I could do was stammer. Seeing my predicament President Reagan asked my name and I told him then he looked at me as if I was the only person in the room and said, “Ken I put my pants on the same way you do,” immediately putting me at ease and talking with me as if I was a friend he had known for years.

In January 1989 when now former President Reagan walked down the Capitol steps after the Inauguration of George H.W. Bush, a family member who was watching the Inaugural with me and seeing Reagan board Marine One for the trip to Andrews Air Force Base and home to California expressed best what we felt when Reagan left office when she said, ” I have grown very comfortable with him in The White House.” And we had, we were comfortable with Reagan as our President our National Father, our friend and our protector.

When he announced he had Alzheimer’s, it was as if a member of my family had told me of this devastating affliction. This too came home to me when my mother became an Alzheimer’s victim. I lost her in 2005 and a year later in June of 2006 we heard of President Reagan losing his battle with Alzheimer’s. I am not ashamed to admit that I cried like a baby as I watched his final journey on television. I had lost a member of my family and my greatest influence as a conservative American.

Still today there is seldom a day in which I do not think of this greatest of Americans and miss him. Ronald Reagan was known for many things. He was an actor who because of one of his most famous roles became known as The Gipper. He was a Governor of a state that economically would rank as the seventh largest country in the world. He was President of The United States and because of his leadership reshaped our Nation and our world ending a threat that had lasted for more than 40 years and restoring our confidence economically and as a people and our pride in our great Nation.

But of all the things that he was and all the ways in which we remember him, Ronald Wilson Reagan was most proud of and would want to be remembered most as an American. For even with all his great accomplishments and his world changing actions as our President being an American was what he was most proud of and who he was. Today we remember this humble man from Dixon as one of our greatest leaders and the father of conservatism. We can best honor his legacy and memory by always fighting for those Constitutional principles and beliefs he held so dear. Never forgetting the greatness of America and always having faith in the American people as he did.

Happy 100th birthday Mr. President. We will never forget you and will always miss you.

Though his political, “parentage,” is obvious by his policy and actions, Obama the man acts like a child who is still trying to discover who and what he wants to be when he grows up. His identity is still, after two years in office, a mystery to the public and it would seem to himself. There is the still lingering controversy over the birth certificate with seldom a day passing when it does not make the news and frankly because of its lingering stamina is more of an embarrassment to those on the right seeking it than to Obama.

With every wind that blows Obama tries to identify himself with someone from history whether that person is a President or a famous individual from the country that he is visiting. For instance when he was in India, Obama thought himself to be Gandhi as he tired to emulate the Mahatma’s path and compared his beliefs to those of India’s greatest hero.

When he campaigned, especially after winning the Democrat nomination he thought himself to be messianic making reverences to his hope and change mantra being an almost religious experience even to the point of Greek columns and a church like atmosphere when he made his much taunted acceptance speech in Denver at the end of the Democrat convention. Then he took his,” messiah,” complex with him on the campaign trail basking in the light as the worshipful media helped create this false identity.

After the election during the weeks of transition Obama thought himself to be Bill Clinton as he made staff appointment with nearly two thirds of those appointments being former Clinton administration staffers. As new staffers were named nearly every headline or soundbite started off with, “former Clinton administration……,” the the blank was filled in with whatever position held under Bubba.

When he was inaugurated he thought himself to be Abraham Lincoln. He boarded a train and followed the route taken by our 16th President as a security measure for Lincoln to Baltimore first then to Washington. He used the personal bible of Lincoln to take the Oath of Office and ate many of Lincoln’s favorite foods during Inaugural banquets. He compared himself to Lincoln during the buildup to the Inauguration and in his Inaugural address.

When pushing the failed stimulus bill he thought himself to be Franklin Roosevelt supposedly saving the country from a great depression. Creating the 21st Century version of the New Deal and using You Tube for this generations, “fire side chats.” And like Roosevelt his much taunted, “New Deal,” failed to deliver what was promised and rather than solving the problem actually exasperated it taking the country deeper into recession and unemployment.

Now Republicans have taken over the House, almost evened up the Senate, hold a majority of Governorships and State Houses and a conservative surge is sweeping the country as anger over Obama’s failed policy, massive spending, debt creation and deficit busting is causing voters to run from Obama and embrace the Constitutional conservative policies and values that have made our country great since its birth.

Now the proverbial Chameleon of politics is seeking a new identity and has chosen Ronald Reagan. Although the evidence shows otherwise both he and the media claim that Obama is making a move to the center to respond to the results of the mid term election and the new make up of Congress all of which are claimed to be Reaganesque. Even though Reagan was a staunch conservative who unlike Obama politically never wavered, he did use compromise occasionally to get passed those items he needed for the betterment of the country. So now that Obama is supposedly willing to work with Republicans, a move we have yet to see, he is emulating Reagan.

His State of the Union address was touted time and again as Reaganesque since he uncharacteristically made a few, very few, patriotic references in the midst of his praising China for becoming a world power. Something Reagan would never have done because of the threat that power now poses to The United States. During his Christmas vacation in order to begin this Reagan charade that Obama is now trying, Robert Gibbs made it a point to mention the Reagan biography Obama was reading complete with pictures of him reading it.

He has met with White House historians to look at the Reagan Presidency and sought advice from former Reagan staffers. All in an attempt to identify himself falsely with one of our greatest Presidents who he knows is still beloved by the people. This combined with the centennial celebration of Reagan’s birth makes for great headlines for Obama and the attempt to create the illusion he is following the Reagan philosophy.

Yet he continues to seek expanded government which Reagan fought, increased spending which Reagan sought to decrease. Appeasement to our enemies a stance polar opposite of Reagan who stood strong opposing our enemies and fought to defeat them not appease them. Obama sees government as the answer to everything while Reagan knew government was the problem not the answer.

Reagan was an actor who became a great President. Obama is a failed politician who is trying to act like other Presidents and famous individuals from other countries. Failing to meet the grade on every account and always seeking a new identity to try and make a legacy and create a persona that satisfies everyone while failing to satisfy almost no one, including his liberal base.

Obama suffers from an identity crisis in trying to make a public personality that hides the real and dangerous truth of his political philosophy which is destructive to our country, seeks to eliminate the Constitutional principles that have sustained our Nation throughout our history and create an America in his leftist image that is weak and bows to the rest of the world. He talks compromise but only if those who disagree with him make the compromise. He says he stands for the people while seeking to control the very people he claims to champion.

This is what happens when someone is given power without anyone truly knowing who he is before that power is acquired. Obama remained a complete mystery throughout the campaign and in many respects except for the political stances he has taken is still a mystery as a person and the media only helps this mystery continue as they are a willing accomplice to the continually evolving identities Obama tries to take on to hide the truth of his agenda to destroy and then rebuild America into a socialist state.

We don’t need nor want Mitt Romney, period! We need a real conservative not someone who says he is for the sake of garnering the conservative vote. We have already had one RINO run for President recently and the result was Barack Obama. Do we really want another one in 2012 to see the imbecilic Obama reelected because Republicans chose the wrong candidate again and shied away from a true conservative which is what this country needs and wants?

I almost cringe whenever I see Romney in interview after interview espousing how conservative he is when his record as Governor of Massachusetts is FAR from stellar from a conservative point of view. He may have been a decent business man and did a good job running the winter Olympics but neither make this RINO a good choice for President and do not give him the credentials which meet true conservative standards for the 2012 election cycle. Plus the guy has already LOST one nomination and in a head to head CANNOT beat Barack Obama.

For those who are so willing to jump on the Mitt Romney band wagon let me remind you what this RINO did when he had the opportunity to govern in an executive position which many believe gives him the experience to be President. He failed on almost all accounts as a conservative and his record in the Massachusetts Governors mansion as with any State Chief Executive who moves to the Oval Office will follow suit.

The crowning achievement during the Romney years in Massachusetts was his push and passage of health care reform which has been tagged Romneycare after the passage of Obamacare on the national level. Since Obamacare was passed in 2009, Romney has been extremely quiet about his state government health care bill which is a complete reversal from his braggadocios prideful rantings about it BEFORE Obamacare was passed and its unpopularity became very obvious. Since then Romney has distanced himself from his own debacle by avoiding direct answers when asked about his state nightmare.

Romneycare is the state version of Obamacare though not a total government take over it is complete with a mandate to purchase health care that penalizes citizens with escalating taxation and the loss of any personal income tax exemptions if some form of health care is not purchased. The, “call,” for state health care also patterned the lie perpetrated on the national level by greatly overstating the number of people without health care in Massachusetts. In actuality when the numbers were truly scrutinized they like the national numbers did not match the scare hype as a nominal 6% of the states citizens were uninsured. Even after Romeycare was initiated the real number only dropped by 2% as most chose even with the penalties to not participate in the program.

Romneycare also assessed an annual, “fair,” fee to business not exceeding $295 dollars per employee for every business in the state with more than ten employees who did not voluntarily contribute to the state health care fund. In other words a business tax from the man who claims to be pro – business and cries foul over government taxation of small business. This assessment or voluntary contribution is in addition to business costs for employee health care already provided by the business.

Romney and Ted Kennedy were bitter opponents in 1994 during the Senate race when many thought Kennedy was very vulnerable in light of the conservative surge with the Contract with America. Romney lost and he and Kennedy still remained cool to one another. After Romney jumped on the health care band wagon as Governor embracing Kennedy’s dream he and Romney became good friends as Kennedy endorsed Romenycare since it met with his standards of government sponsored health care. Since its passage it has cost the state millions and placed an extreme financial burden on Massachusetts.

Romney also calls himself a fiscal conservative who does not believe in tax increases. But again his record as Governor proves otherwise. Romney inherited a $3 billion dollar deficit upon entering office and though he did not penalize Massachusetts citizens to pay for this deficit by direct taxation he did increase fees across the board on licenses etc. which directly affected nearly every citizen. Additionally he hit the citizens pocket books by increasing the gasoline tax to attack the deficit. He did cut spending but his first move was to increase fees and the gas tax rather than first enacting drastic spending cuts to combat the state deficit.

Romney also raised taxes on business to combat the state deficit. Although he called it closing tax loopholes, state business considered the measures tax increases and as such expressed their anger toward their so called pro – business Governor. He also increased the Capital Gains Tax as an additional revenue source and implemented a state tax on all Internet services. The so called anti tax Governor also signed legislation increasing all commercial property taxes in the state which was another financial attack against business.

Now that his record is behind him and many are not scrutinizing it as he makes his move toward 2012 Mitt Romney is trying to show himself as a fiscal conservative who is against any tax increases, continually talking a good game as a pro business candidate and complaining about the affects of Obamacare on our Nation. Yet as Governor of Massachusetts he was far from the conservative mantra that he is now claiming implementing taxation through fees and gasoline, attacking business by increasing business costs through government intervention and the author of the states universal health care bill.

The bottom line is this. Romney is not a conservative he is at best a moderate who has shown that as a Chief Executive his governing policy will be more liberal than conservative. He may try and talk a good game about being conservative but his record shows otherwise and that record will, if elected, follow him to The White House and the same RINO policy will follow suit. We do not need nor want another of his type as the Republican choice against Barack Obama in 2012. The country has shown by the result of the 2010 election a starvation for conservative leadership and Mitt Romney has not nor ever will fit that bill.

President Reagan was a little off his usual game in the debate but for the assertion that it was due to the onset of Alzheimer’s is ridiculous. President Reagan’s eldest son who was adopted and much closer to his dad has come out publicly blasting his brother over the claim and stated that Ron Reagan was an, “embarrassment,” to his father when he was alive and with the publishing of the book has become an embarrassment to his mother, Nancy Reagan today.

The younger Reagan goes on to claim that in the second term of his Presidency, President Reagan was not in control at the White House and most of the decisions were made by Vice President Bush and Nancy. Once again a load of sensationalism and false claims by the blood son of the former President. The younger Reagan is jumping on the left wing band wagon which has been seeking to diminish the historic and world changing legacy of President Reagan ever since he left office and the assertion that he suffered from Alzheimer’s during his Presidency has been part of that left wing anti Reagan propaganda since he announced his having the disease in 1994.

President Reagan is obviously better served by his adopted son than his blood son which has been the case long before the release of this book. Michael Reagan like Nancy has worked very hard in preserving the legacy of President Reagan and keeping the true historical record of one of our greatest Presidents honest and factual for a public who remember the President and for those younger generations who are learning about the world changing Presidency of our 40th Chief Executive.

I have experienced personally the affects of this devastating disease known as Alzheimer’s with the loss of my mother to it in 2005. I witnessed her deterioration and saw how the disease affected her every ability to remember family, friends and even simple everyday things of life. I understand fully how this terrible disease affects those who have it and those who care for or are associated with anyone who has Alzheimer’s. It is impossible to hide the affects of this terrible disease.

Ronald Reagan as President was the most public figure of the eighties as any President is during his term or terms of office. He had contact on a daily basis with individuals from his cabinet to the Congress as well as world leaders and foreign dignitaries. He is constantly in public view and scrutinized by a press corps that hangs on his every move and word seeking a headline or a sound bite which will make the news of that day.

For Ron Reagan to assert that his father had Alzheimer’s from 1984 through the end of his Presidency in January 1989 poses an impossible feat of hiding a disease which is equally impossible to hide especially for a public figure as prominent as a President. It affects the memory so severely, then later physically affecting the body that hiding and covering for it as Reagan claims could not have been done.

Many of President Reagan most historic moments as President came AFTER his sons assertion that he was suffering from Alzheimer’s as early as 1984. His summits with Mikhail Gorbachev came after 1984 since the former Soviet leader did not come into power until 1985. Gorbachev has stated many times that President Reagan was an extremely strong and well informed foe in their many talks and summits which led to the ending of the Cold War. This coming form a world leader who was became a personal friend because of the respect gained by their association and Reagan’s strength as a leader.

The famous Brandenburg Gate speech in which President Reagan called on Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin wall was delivered in 1987. His consoling of our Nation in the wake of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster came in 1986. His farewell address as President considered by many to be one of his finest speeches was delivered in January, 1989. And Reagan’s most memorable debate came later in 1984 when he destroyed Mondale in their second meeting. These are just a few examples of hundreds of a man who was well in control of his memories and his abilities all of which could not have been done by someone who was suffering from Alzheimer’s, an extremely debilitating disease impossible to hide.

Nancy, I am sure must be suffering terribly in knowing how her son is exploiting his father and making such false claims against the man she loved passionately for so many years and I am sure still loves today. She worked tirelessly as First Lady to preserves the legacy of her husband and later to keep that legacy strong and true for all Americans and the world to share. Now to have it tainted by her only son must be a devastating situation for the former First Lady.

Ron Reagan shows no respect for his father nor his mother with his book that makes such a false claim and challenges the historical Reagan as well. His claim is a attempt to diminish the legacy of his father and not an act of love from a proud son as he has tried to claim with his ridiculous book. Fortunately most Americans know the truth about President Reagan and many understand the liberal ways of his son Ron. As the year continues and the commemoration of this great President continues the sons book will fade into the ash heap of bad fiction writing as so many bad books before have gone

FACT – The celebration of Christmas is a celebration of a birthday of a Child who was born in a stable in the town of Bethlehem and the Child’s name was Jesus who is the Son of God.

FACT – Though many do not celebrate Christmas nor recognize it’s true meaning, this does NOT change the fact that Christmas would not exist as a celebration or a holiday without the birth of the Christ hence the Christ mass which is the celebration of the birth of the Christ Child.

Political correctness is again running amok as we approach December the 25 the celebration of Christmas. Almost everywhere one goes during this season the elimination of even the word Christmas has become more and more evident. Happy Holidays is the norm now at almost all retail establishments when it concerns greeting during this season.

I for one will not leave a register nor a counter in a store without a wish of Merry Christmas and an acknowledgment from the person in whom I have extended that wish. Even if that person wishes me Happy Holidays before I have the opportunity to wish Merry Christmas I counter with the true greeting and tell that person that they need not use the PC greeting with me. For those that actually greet me with Merry Christmas in a retail establishment I thank them for greeting me in that manner and return the Merry Christmas greeting.

The ACLU once again has been attempting to eliminate Christmas from our schools and any public arena. The fact that in every poll more than 60% of those polled recognize this holiday as Christmas and would rather hear Merry Christmas than Happy Holidays does not matter to the politically correct. All of those who attack Christmas claim they are doing so to protect the rights of those who are offended by the word Christmas and the true meaning of the holiday.

Yet not one of the PC groups even acknowledge the FACT that these efforts to eliminate Christmas offends the MAJORITY of Americans and those of us who wish a Merry Christmas and celebrate the holiday for its true meaning are being completely discriminated against since our wishes are considered wrong and the small minority who complain about EVERYTHING are being allowed to have their say concerning this issue.

Christmas exposes the hypocrisy of those like the ACLU who claim to stand for the rights of the American people. The only rights they stand for are those who agree with their politically correct agenda and anyone else must set their rights aside in order to accommodate the political correctness. Well I have news for them…….I as an American and a firm believer in the Constitution of The United States of America will always stand and fight for my rights and as a result I celebrate Christmas and will express that celebration as I see fit.

So to the politically correct, MERRY CHRISTMAS. To those who wish me Happy Holidays, MERRY CHRISTMAS. To the left who wish to eliminate the true Reason for the season, MERRY CHRISTMAS and of course to all of you who understand and believe as I do a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and may this CHRISTMAS be a blessed reminder for you and your family as to why we truly celebrate CHRISTmas!
