A real purpose of cap and tax is to force everyone to use less energy. Even among renewable energy sources, the greens only approve of fickle renewables like wind and solar. They never admit that the vast majority of renewable energy comes from hydroelectricity because they hate the dams more than anyone. The greens won’t stop until we’re all living in the dark.

When BHO (blah blah blah) returns from Copenhagen (again) ’09 will be one for the history books. We just need to keep this congress on a short leash until November ’10. By then, the weak dollar policies of this administration should be the driving force behind $4-5 gas and the people will have no interest in bait-and-switch democrats on energy policies and the environment. Remember Sept. ’08 when dems flipped on drilling to get the vote. Now Salazar won’t let “big oil” dip so much as a bendy straw into the ground. I swear everyday the dems are writing the campaign ads for the Right.

The Heritage analysis of Waxmark portends much, much heartburn for any swing stater considering a yes vote.

…come from coal fired power plants. If the eco-Marxists were serious about cutting CO2 emissions and not cutting US energy consumption and living standards they would support a massive expansion in nuclear power.
Their real goal is to force us into smaller homes, smaller cars, and to reduce our “over consumption” .

I read an article today claiming that, as Lord Moncton stated, there is turning back when/if Obama gives up the US soverniety in Copenhagen this December. The US Constitution does have precedence over any treaty signed by the co-President Obama. Whatever he does, it can be backtracted by our most presicious document, the Constitution. We only need to elect Congressional members that have the will to do it.
