Obama’s Wistful Military Service

Obama attempts to re-invent his history

As I ponder his latest assertion I suddenly see Obama’s claims from a different perspective.

So the RNC turns out great. More people watch McCain’s speech and listen with tears in the eyes to his telling of his experiences as a POW. Over 40 million people hear about a life of service, sacrifice, putting others and country first, and living by an honor code. 40 million people hear that McCain refused to be a PR pawn for the Viet Cong and in doing so suffering torture that resulted in his disabilities today. Over 40 million people heard the real life story of men in the worst of conditions holding each other up. Over 40 million people hear the story of McCain and how his love for his country is to the core and into every corner of his being.

Obama and Accountability

Obama appears on Bill O'Reilly

I watched the Bill O’Reilly interview very early this morning. (Face it folks this might be as close to hard questions as Obama gets during this campaign).

I am left with one question:

How does a man with so few accomplishments know anything about accountability?

A letter to Bristol Palin

Dear Miss Bristol Palin

I want you to know I admire you and thank you. I want you to know that you are not alone. You have millions and millions of women just like me standing with you. Do not be discouraged and do not be afraid. You are a young woman of strong conviction. You may not have intended to become pregnant at the age of 17, but stay strong as you are far from alone. Millions and millions before you have walked in your shoes, but none of us have been subjected to MSM slime you have endured over the last few days.

Hold your head high. You have shown yourself to be made of far greater stuff than those who have attacked you. Wednesday and Thursday night you will find you are not alone. When you step out on that stage with your mother, father and family please know that those thousands in the arena are also cheering for you and there will be millions and millions more of us at home cheering for you as well. We care about you. Millions and millions of women and men, mothers and fathers are taking you into our hearts this week. You are not standing alone.

So congratulations on your baby, congratulations on your engagement and coming marriage. You are in my prayers and the prayers of so many across this nation.

Palin’s Experience Answer

Ultimate retort to the left on the heartbeat away no foreign policy experience frenzy

Maybe it has been said before so forgive me for repeating. After a weekend of hearing from the left that Governor Palin does not have foreign policy experience. (I dispute this premise but will go along for the sake of argument). The left is in a frenzy over how McCain could pick as the person a couple of heart beats away from the Presidency someone without any foreign policy experience. Now McCain has foreign policy experience in spades, so the McCain ticket did not need to add foreign policy experience to be a complete ticket. So this only becomes an issue if Sarah Palin rises to the position of POTUS through some unfortunate circumstance.

So if this event does come to pass, President Palin can solve her shortcoming the same way Obama has. She can ask Joe Biden or any other 35 year Senator who sits on foreign relations committees to serve her administration. After all Palin does have a record of working across political parties and naming Democrats and Independents to her administration.
