Israel: Obama's first call was not to the only functioning democracy to the Middle East, but to a group (not a nation, but a group) whose main claim to fame is blowing up an awful lot of stuff in both Israel, the Occupied Territories, and abroad. (Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan, anyone?)

Britain: Insultingly poor preparation, taste, and a general apathy surrounding the first meeting that the Obama Administration had with the outgoing PM of GB. I will note that Brown shares many of Obama's same views; it can only get worse with a Tory PM. Oh yeah, and returning the Churchill bust so generously loaned to us by GB after 9/11.

France: Snubbing the reigning President of France by making contact with Jacques Chirac, the former President, in favor of Sarkozy, who he doesn't even mention in passing in his letter to Chirac.

Eastern Europe: Obama's meeting with expansionist Russia ahead of eastern European nations like Poland, as well as his stated dropping of the missile shield.

Europe in general: A proposed "renegotiation" of our trade agreements and a stunning lack of coordination for how the economic problem will be dealt with, now that it's gone global.

I have a question: has Obama visited Iraq ever since being inaugurated? I don't remember him having done so, but I could be wrong.
