that Congress is full of lawyers — all of whom at some point in their education had to have had basic schooling in Constitutional law, there are only two options. They’re either in utter contempt of our most important founding document, or they’re totally ignorant of its purpose. All too many Congressional Democrats, and enough Republicans to leave a sour taste, run over the founding principles the way you’d run over a dead skunk on the highway. I think acat has it right — nobody in DC is following the rules, and a tipping point is coming. When the boulder begins to roll, it won’t end well.

I’ve talked to many politicians recently, but skirt the question of constitutionality, and push it towards the courts. There should be a safeguard to prevent unconstitutional bills from ever being presented for a vote.

Congress needs to learnt he 3 R’s again.
