Republican politicians are out this evening putting out what appear to be reactions to Donald Trump’s ill-advised press conference.
In the wake of Trump’s statement that both sides share fault in the Charlottesville violence (a claim originally made on Saturday, but walked back on Monday when he called out the KKK and white supremacists), one of the Republicans to lay out a very clear message on white supremacy was House Speaker Paul Ryan.
We must be clear. White supremacy is repulsive. This bigotry is counter to all this country stands for. There can be no moral ambiguity.

Every Republican who has not yet come out with any sort of statement is, at this point, complicit in the emboldening of the alt-right and the white supremacist movement.
