Congressman and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise is out of intensive care, according to multiple reports.

The Washington Examiner states that Scalise was moved out of the Intensive Care Unit at MedStar Washington, the hospital he was admitted to after being shot multiple times by a gunman targeting Republicans at a baseball field in Alexandria, Virginia.

Scalise went back into the ICU last week due to an infection the hospital was concerned about, and he underwent another surgery. His moving out of the ICU bodes well for his recovery.
