God help me. I #StandWithGraham.

In times of conflict and even all out war, you will occasionally find yourself siding with people you never once dreamed of agreeing with. Everyone’s had those alliances in their lives, and today, many conservatives find themselves one again: Lindsey Graham will never support Donald Trump.

Graham said he’d “absolutely” not support Clinton, the overwhelming favorite for the Democratic nomination, saying she’d represent President Obama’s “third term.”

“I also cannot in good conscience support Donald Trump because I do not believe he is a reliable Republican conservative nor has he displayed the judgment and temperament to serve as commander in chief,” said Graham, who ran for president against Trump during the GOP primary.

While a cynical man might ask what in God’s name would Lindsey Graham know about being a conservative, I have a restored faith in the good senator. He at least realizes the danger of two raving, immoral lunatics running for the White House, and what that could possibly mean for his party, which is the only party he can be elected by.

But Graham’s gut feeling is absolutely correct. Donald Trump is not a reliable conservative – in fact, he isn’t one at all. He has never been one. He has shown nothing but bad judgment in the people he’s hired this campaign season alone. He has the temperament of a four year old who has just been told he has to turn off the TV and clean his room.

It is a strange day when I feel betrayed by Rick Perry and proud of Lindsey Graham, but this is a strange era in politics. Nothing makes sense anymore. All I know is that I’ll take all the allies against Donald Trump I can get. I will #StandWithGraham.
